I really appreciate you doing a video on arcane. I'm only playing wow for the fun that arcane brings, and I'm trying to get as high with it, pugging, every season. I'm really happy this spec gets more and more attention, as it deserves. Keep up the good work!
PS: In ST, stop casting arcane blast when you have less than 3 arcane charges, it hurts my eyes ahahah (arcane explosion will do the same amount of damage in this situation and will generate your charges faster)
Arcane is so pretty every spell is so pleasing to look at and in the next patch radiant spark and shifting power get updated to arcane pretty spells as well so i’m happy i am playing this spec for a lot time and love it😁

Critical during their cd will make a difference between a 150k arcane blast and a 400k arcane blast which translate to significantly.more damage because of how touch of the magi work. A good crit rng can let arcane mages do 700k-800k dps for the first 30 seconds whereas a bad one will drop as low as 400k. A huge difference vs pretty much every other spec. Arcane missiles now do a good chunk of our damage especially during our cd thabks to tier piece. And that depends on clearcasting procs which is rng. And more clear casting props we get, the longer we can maintain our mana since it cost none and give us 2 gcd of mana recovery. With almost 0 clear casting procs, you can go oom within 20 seconds when you need to conserve mana for 1min and 10 seconds. Not to mention the other part of our tier piece where we need clearcasting procs for 10% int buff. And if it drops off because of bad rng, it takes an average 40 seconds to get that 10% int buff back, and not to mention trying to fish for this in our opener. We usually delay our cds by 10 seconds to fish for as many procs as possible for the int buff and so there can be a difference of 10% dps between 2 arcane mages in their opener depending on rng
Back in BfA I started my ArcMage because I wanted to be in theme for my Nightborne. I will say I was shocked when he started performing really really well in 10.2. It's nice that it's effective aside from just being fun to play and sometimes looking like you're trapped in gum! Really appreciate the breakdown on this
I recently started playing an Arcane Mage, and honestly, this is exactly the complexity I expected from a mage. The spec provides a lot of resources, and learning how to use them properly is very satisfying. If you're discouraged by the size and complexity of the rotations, I’d say it’s not as bad as it seems. Give it a try!
Arcanes pretty amazing! Currently pugged up to 3.2k io and still pushing, played it mostly exclusively since shadowlands s1 and it definently has alot of problems right now. It does have build variety but its more in blizzards lack of balancing. Harmony is really fun playstyle if you want something for HUGE barrages upwards in the multiple million crits (I have used it in some +25 keys and it definently can pump, aswell as in raid. I've run it on gnarl root and got a top 10 parse with harmony, you just need the stars to really align in that execute phase.), but definently something to learn after figuring out arcanes base rotation and understanding your entire kit. It's especially fun with the new 4pc this tier so, theres alotta variety out there for high end mages wanting to try something new without being too worried about a 5% dps loss in single target purely because arcane is one of those specs that, theres alot more optimization left to improve. Praying going into war within they fix a LOT of the bugs with the harmony side of the tree, aswell as some QoL with evocation and some poor tree choices like nether tempest locking magi and spark unlike it being an optional choice node before. Arcane is definently one of those complex classes that is tough to explain in a guide especially written to fully understand every % and source of your damage but by god that dopamine hit when you execute it to perfection and pull top 10 parses is ADDICTING. Enh shaman have a priority list to know, but for the arcane mage, it's a all rotation to set up in a specific order to have your full damage, so it's a bit more complexe, but if you happen to understand why you're casting what spell in what order, you're good ! As arcane mage is a burst class, you don't want to waist them, so you'll have to learn when to burst or if you have to delay to have maximum damage, too !

People always say that meta doesn't matter for 99% of players, only the top 1%. But that is just not True. If you play a shit spec, you won't get invited even in +19s
As an Arcane main I still stand by Arcane single target rotation is the most fun DPS in Raid. I'm 3K IO and doing 24s atm, and it is also fun in an M+ environment. And ur point out 'meta' is great, any class can in theory clear big stuff like 28s I'm sure, but I am starting to get sick and tired of constantly being told I should 'play Fire' at least twice a day from pugs 😭
They need to simplify all specs down a tad, I know arcane is notorious but man that list for rotation was ridiculous to look at compared to fire and frost mage who are very cruisy and imo more fun. I do enjoy arcane without radiant spark, evocation and mana gem.

TBH I came back to WoW because they revamped Arcane (which I've been playing since its inception as a DPS spec back in TBC) and FINALLY got rid of RoP and I realized one thing...if you ever played FFXIV the AoE rotation is pretty much the same thing as their Monks (which is what I was playing in FFXIV). The rotation on WoWhead is just written extremely bad as its too overly complicated in the explanation (dude wrote it for Meta players only it seems), its actually not that hard to do. I still wish they would make Supernova viable again (or just get rid of it) as I loved using that back in the days of WoD.
I feel like you guys are spreading yourselves too thin with how many specs are in the game. You need a third person so you can cover all the specs properly with little wrong info. Love you guys but the inaccuracy in your videos is what puts a bad taste in my mouth. Great people, just need to tighten it up a bit or people will lose faith in you.
arcane mage good? it's in the middle of the pack in m+ and raids? extremely punishing spec, high risk no high reward, insane burst but compared to WL or boomie it's meh 🤷
The thing about the hardest specs ingame is, meta is represented for a 5% players amongst almost every class, you can't expect to see 1 brilliant player from every 20 of players of that class like you'll see happening with Fury Warrior or Bm hunter. So imagine it like, if arcane Mage and the other hardest specs meta is only generated as an 1% statistical ando not a 5%.

How would you guys compare Enh shaman's rotation vs Arc Mage? Is it way harder? Somewhat on the same level of complexity?
enhc isnt that hard once you get it i think arcane is a bit more difficult
