How to Use Shadow Catcher in Maya 2017 Using ARNOLD

If I want to have the wood color stays as a reflection map on the ball and also the matte shadow of the ball. What do we have to do achieve that... the way you have done it is u can call cheat in Maya, creating fake color light and making it the part of the ball's reflection...kindly let me know the better way to solve it
