For new players I recommend full PvP wizard vault, as in PvE there might be stuff you have no access to yet. Meanwhile pvp is always the same and pretty trivial, even if you can't play. You will both have a purpose to get better at the game and pretty quick astral acclaim. Also, sPvP can give you a lot of gold if you play ranked. You don't have to win those, you just have to play them, as most of the rewards are on high tier chests you get for playing ranked.
PvP wiz vault is NOT SMART at all. It's the second longest to complete with WvW being the longest. You can finish PvE dailies in under 5min a day and an entire set of PvE weeklies can be finished in 5 - 10hrs depending on what ones they are. PvP weeklies can be finished in the same time but dailies are always going to be longer. WvW is the worst of the three because it's dependent on 20 - 30 other people all playing at the same time and doing the things you need to complete.
@@AlmarWinfield You can finish PvP weeklies outside of AT just while doing dailies (so like 1h doing 1-2 matches a day). PvP dailies will always take 1-2 matches. You can finish PvE dailies IF they are the easy ones. However weeklies and dailies take into account the content you have bought, not the content you have accessed before. You can get "kill X enemies in Horn of Maguma" as daily, or EoD meta as weekly while you are leveling and you'd need to either forget about it, or do some trickery with being carried by friends. It's easier to just select PvP and play the story in your own tempo.
@@MidasplAll PvE dailies are easy, they will sometimes give you one that is annoying but that's ok cause you can always skip it. Most days you can finish 3 or 4 PvE dailies in one 5min event. I understand and agree in the niche scenario you're talking about that PvP would be faster. However, Wiz vault doesn't unlock until level 80 so there is no "while leveling" aspect to this. My view is that you're putting up an unreasonable road block for players, acting like they can't just go to an area to unlock waypoints and then the issue you bring up is never an issue again for them. Basically, the solution you're giving (do PvP instead of PvE) is more detrimental in the long run because it takes almost twice as long to complete your dailies. it also requires interacting with toxic people daily. Instead of just telling them hey - go get a waypoint in Cantha if you need a waypoint in Cantha. That's literally a problem for one hour until they complete the quest to unlock Seitung
Just get a good party and spam farm fractal 42 using the dialogue skip technique. lands you about 80 encryptions per hour ignoring the rest of the loot you get. Just by selling them you can easily get 20+ gold, and if you have spare keys, the profit can be insane. Farmed 2 hours, opened a little over 150 of them, and ended up with like 115 gold.
@@SilhouetteGaming1 Ye. Like don't get me wrong, I agreed with everything in the video, was just pointing this out. On a sidenote about the group, it's usually hard because everybody wants to play thew DPS and nobody wants to be the healer, but it's easy for me since I'm a healer/support main; I usually queue up and type in 2fractal 42 farm need 4xDPS' and usually get a full group within 5-10 minutes over here in Europe :D
Oh no I wasn't offended or anything. On NA I'm pretty sure most runs are done with no heal or a Cele healer. If I were to put one together I'd try no heal first personally and run qscrap and power alac ren, but like I said I don't run 42 so I'm unsure of the NA meta.
@@SilhouetteGaming1 I've never been sold by the concept of bringing no healers into fractals. From my experience, it usually speeds up the cleartime since it allows the other 4 people to focus on what they're doing and not have to worry about dying, and 9/10 times when we failed as a group in T4 (and the 42 farm) it was due to a lack of healing. That's just my take on it.
True. Playing the game is the best way to make gold. I just sit my ass on PC, play content and get awarded for doing so. Everyweek I be like spending 100g leveling my professions and then 1 week outta nowhere i get more 100g that i dont even know where it came from.
Yeah duck for me that shit just kinda collects tbh. And then I just never lose ectogambling. I do still need like 6 gen 3 legendary though and then I'm onto the variants.
Well it depends, Anet rewards players for repeating content but not for exploring and achieving things. Played for 3 years, completed map to 100%, found almost every puzzle, did almost every event, quest and story, ended up with 90 Gold, not even 10% of the materials needed for a single legendary.
I gave my old account to my niece and now I have an account with functionally no magic find, unlocks, or gear. It seems that most of these methods are a year in my future but I write this before I follow the link to your other video. As a returning player, thank you for reminding me the more things change...
I play a lot of ranked pvp and get a lot of gold that way. I also use the time between matches to gather certain mats around the maps. Appropriate glyph in tools makes it better.
Golds a funny one, I never had over 200g so I would buy it with gems. Then when I started raiding/doing fractals I started to see it go up.. But after buying my first legedary set I was broke again.. Selling my unused materials and crafting leggies to sell was my first step up.. But quickily you realise that you need those clovers for other leggies.. Now I craft leggies for other people, and its wild the difference in making gold is for a new player compared to someone who is trading in discords.. Like it doesn't even compare, and the amount of gold you need for an entire leggy set.. I don't think the vast majority of players would ever make that just playing normally.
I just completed a legendary at 188 hours of playtime on my zero to hero account, and will be using that gold to fund legendary armor. It's been 20 weeks of playtime on the account total, so it's definitely possible.
If time is the factor, work an extra hour or two at your real job and buy a gem card and convert to gold. A 2000 gem card costing $25 and will get you 524 gold. I know people who buy $5 coffees and order Doordash for their lunch, but then spend a weekend farming a fraction of the gold they could have bought with the cost of the one meal they ordered. Eat a PB&J, drink a soda and buy some gold.
I'd like to know more about option 5, but I feel like it's in the best interest of the wealthy players to not share how they make money to minimize competition. I imagine there's a lot of money to be made, but it can be hard to know what to flip and it feels risky. You can make money doing conversions, but I use all my spirit shards on legendaries.
So Abree has a lot of good videos on TP flipping, the video i briefly showed in the intro is a good introduction to how Option 5 is done. Link is in the video discription.
Good video! A couple things, first is... why almost everyone disregards flipping? (you mentioned it I know) I have around 2k into buy orders always, play the game 3-4 times a week, every time I enter 50-200 gold is sitting there and invest around 30min to 1h weekly to refresh my buy/sell list. It's IMO the best passive way to earn gold without actually playing the game. Lastly You forgot about investments!!! See what are the new skins, buy now sell half a year later double almost triple the price. Look at what's coming ( for example, new leggy armor? pre-farm materials, sell later once it's here) or other events (super adventure box hardlight skins, buy during the event, sell three-one months before it comes again, quadruple your investment). I loved your vid, got a new sub! Keep it up mah man!
Thanks man! Yeah I don't disregard it but it's not the reason I play, at this point gold has little use to me so it just kinda stacks up. You have some good advice though I might try it out with the skin investments this coming event.
Flippers usually spend at least 30 min a day on checking/restocking/research. So 30 min a week.. I highly doubt. You just don't realize how much time you're spending at the tp.
@@bmw9616 @SilhouetteGaming1 I log in\play from two to four times a week, and play in total 2-4 hours (weekly). I personally don't understand why pvp tournaments are not mentioned in any gold farm videos. It's 1g/win of match and after 3 matches you can decline and leave with minimal reward. Since PvP is not so populated lately and there are less favorite times, you can leave with 15g + 2 MC on 3rd/4th place after 45min. while progressing reward track and gaining 1g/30s per win/loss of these 3 matches. After these 3 matches, everyone win means +5g on final reward basically, up to 25g on top spot.
