Ummm sure if taken to the extreme and not a reasonable response to what's occured. Usage of corporal punishment was the only method that worked for me. Heck I'd argue there has been a huge increase in temper tantrums, murder, and acts of destructive jealousy. The lack of discipline and spanking has in my opinion exasperated the frequency. Sure some kids\teens will listen to a lecture and mend their ways others not so much! It definitely doesn't work for everyone just like not using it produces terrible results. I believe it should be a person to person evaluation and as a parent you need to try alternatives instead of one system\technique.

And as long as "adult" is living under the roof of another adult they are to do whatsoever they're told or suffer the consequences as if they're still just a child till they do the adult thing & move out, get their own place, pay their own bills, position themselves to do what they please. People who do something horrible like this, sometimes ask that to find out what is known already, so that if certain things are not known yet, they could try to tell a different story, to bend the narative. For example, depending on what was already known or not yet known, she could say: "My son attacked me! I got scared and didn't knew how to defend myself differently!" It doesn't have to be the truth for her to try and say something that's more in her interest, you know.

What types of families? No disrespect, but that is a problematic statement. What do you mean by “these types of families? Low income families or families with the father not present or families that… what? All of those examples i mentioned are not the problem. So I’m not sure why my mother is like she is . I don’t even speak with her anymore it’s been 8 months and im fine with that

Absolutely.
Ummm sure if taken to the extreme and not a reasonable response to what's occured. Usage of corporal punishment was the only method that worked for me. Sure some kids\teens will listen to a lecture and mend their ways others not so much! It definitely doesn't work for everyone just like not using it produces terrible results. And as long as "adult" is living under the roof of another adult they are to do whatsoever they're told or suffer the consequences as if they're still just a child till they do the adult thing & move out, get their own place, pay their own bills, position themselves to do what they please.
