great job really good. Guess I need to try some smaller baits never would have thought you would catch that size fish on those smaller spoons thanks

Hey Cal. Wonderful video on Spoons that helps me understand the speeds and sizes better. I fish from a paddle kayak so I don't maintain those higher speeds very well. I noticed you don't have spinners in your pyramid. Do you not use them for trolling?

I do use them…. Almost always teamed with worms or grubs so I’ll be covering those when I talk soft plastics and worms!

Excellent content. I have just started learning to troll for Kokanee and was dropping my hoochie set up to 45-60 feet depth with no luck. I have an area that I am marking a lot of fish at that depth and now I am thinking those must be trout, not Kokanee. I plan to try to drop shot or troll the area with trout lures to see if I can have any luck. What are your thoughts? 45-60 feet in June = Trout? Spirit Lake, Idaho.

Trout typically find a comfortable depth based on water temperature. The ideal range can vary by region. Here, in California, trout will hang around the surface between 50ish-75ish * water temp. Not sure exactly how that translates in your lakes. We definitely catch and target summer trout 45-60 feet deep, but thats when water temps are 75+ here. The depth of the lake also plays a factor. For your situation, I'd drop a small spoon and/or fly 40' deep and troll over them for a bit to see what you hook into. Trout will also hit your kokanee rigs. ~Wes

I've got plenty of your tackle, or tackle you suggested. But I lost my favorite trigger spoon Junior. Is there a way to order single lures, or a custom order of multiple lures in favorite colors? I'm so good at fishing structure.... sometimes I catch it😎
