I just wanted to thank you for all the videos you post. This one was the most helpful by far. I appreciate the time you took to get those numbers. I troll a lot for trout and this helps so much just seeing the patterns you were able to develop. Thanks again Cal. Look forward to future videos and possibly linking up and going on a fishing trip with the legend himself
Thank you for this. Just sort of learning trolling for walleye and setting up the rods and how much line I need out etc. This gives me some solid info on what to work with to get me into the ballpark depth I’m looking for.

Thank you Cal. Just what I was looking for…..once again!👍
Glad to help!
This is some great information. I had no idea about length behind the boat and depth. From now on I will be trolling with less line out.
Glad it was helpful!
Great info. Thanks for putting in the time to figure that out!
Finally, data! Thanks, Cal.
Thank you for running these tests, Cal!

Thanks Cal for the great info!
So if we have a 4 to 6 ft crankbait we are pulling, does that add to your numbers?
Oh sure ….
Great info Cal, much thanks !!
Great video bro,as always 😊
Thank You!!
Sounds like very solid info! I like it.
Can you do the same test with leadcor?
Approximately 4.5 ft deep per 1/2 oz.
Thank U for All your videos
My pleasure!
where about on your line are you attaching the weight? does it matter? would using a sinker slide change these variables?
I put them between the main line and leader. You can absolutely use a slider
Great video!
I've thought about using a heavy rod with a 1lb weight attached to a copper sinker release before my leader. That way I don't need a downrigger.
Great information
Great information thank you
