I use a 9 foot medium/heavy with a fast-ish tip and that baby bends hard for a 2.5 pound trout. Thanks for the tips Cal!

I like a Shimano Talora 9 ft., Light power, moderate fast action. Good home for a Penn 20L Squall I had laying around. I just got a second one last week. But the moment I got the back in stock email.....I I'm currently awaiting my 2nd set of Cal Kellogg leadcore and salmon rod. Now I need 2 more reels. 😂😂😂. Probably go with okuma's if I can get them. Low profile for the Salmon/ down rigger rod. All three are great rods. For the price you cannot beat the Cal Kellogg.

Love the vids and info you give. Would your technique for trolling flys work in the eastern Sierra as well? I just moved to the southern eastern Sierra area and looking for any tips for this area.

Yes, absolutely...Trolling flies don't work every day all the time, but they work everywhere that trout swim!!

Trout fishing is awesome and more peaceful scenery most of the time love the video personally I have been doing some brook trout fishing on the fly I am new too it but I highly suggest trying too anyone if.
