It depends on where you were in life. I came of age in the 1960s, and lots of my peers feel that the sixties was the greatest decade. Talk to oldsters who were teens in the 1950s, and they'll tell you there was no better time than when they came of age listening to the young Elvis, hanging out at the malt shop or drive-in, while making out with their main squeeze in a '57 Chevy Bel Air. Ah, to be young again.

My parents began dating in high school in the late 80s, then they had my big sister in 1996 and me in 2006, I love listening to them talkies above growing up in the 80s, and I always get filled with emotions when I look at pictures or watch the home videos of my parents when they were teens at parties, at school, with friends, with my uncle's and aunts.
Or when I look at pictures of my grandfather or great-grandfather, and even my great great grandfather when he arrived in America from North Germany in the late 1800's
I'm very grateful for the people who invented photography and video cameras
And That's why I think it's important to record your life, even moments that you think are boring and meaningless, cause your children in the future and your descendants will love to see you and how your life was in the past. Just like we like seeing pictures of our ancestors, it's a beautiful connection :)

I always love hearing my parents talking about their childhood and growing up in the 80s, or watching their home videos when they were teens with their siblings and friends, how life was more carefree and optimistic back then. I think we who grew up in the 90s and early 2000s are the last generation of kids who truly had a happy and active childhood, playing outside, falling on the pavement and getting hurt, getting dirty, and stuff that kids should be doing. Kids now are growing up in such a pessimistic environment and sedentary lifestyle
I think life was just more lively, cheerful and colorful in the 90s, and specially after the Berlin wall came down and the Soviet union collapsed, there was this air of optimism and hope, everyone thought the new millennial was going to bring a new age for humanity

All this virtual hate of the kids today and their cell phones, and yet the comments are made on UA-cam which is part of their generation.
Truth be told if we had cell phones and social media back in the 80s, we would be doing what they are doing.
Being a proud father of two millinials, they may snap chat, and use their phones for a lot of things, but they are mature, responsible and social. I say give them a break, we had out time, it's their turn to shine.

Are you serious? They're mature, responsible and social? Millennials have never been referred to as those things, many live at home until they're 25 or older, struggle to find a job and stick with it. Many of them at my work can't read, spell, or do basic math very well, because they never had to learn in school the old fashioned way, they just used their phones to Google all the answers.

@@TheEnd-eg6wq your know your right. You thanks for educating me on the two people I raised from birth. I have been blinded until your commentary. I am now in the process of giving them both up for adoption. Thank you again for bringing me into the light, please spread your word to more People, they need to hear the truth from the one person who truly understands.
