Some heavy duty transom knees there Finn! If you back into a concrete pier, you may scuff up the transom, but I don't think you'll hurt those knees! Nice work. And thanks for showing us that not everything goes right the first time, but taking the time to redo it gives you a much better feeling about your work, and your boat. That boat is going to be pretty when you're done restoring it.
Great to see you back, shame about the previous knee, but as you say, best to get it right. I always appreciate a new video, whenever you release it - most of us would never get this far, so fair play to you.
Sounds like the wind was howling!! Sure is nice to have a mini apartment to stay right next to the boat.. its a great idea especially using recycled materials.
Finn, great to see you back working on your boat. It is beginning to really look good and I know that it will sail great once you have completed her. I am looking forward to your next video and hope it is not too long in coming as I would love to see it in the water with you at the helm sailing off to wherever.
Many years ago when I was working as an industrial mechanic, one of the old hands walked up and watched over my shoulder as I was assembling/building something. All he said was "If that was an airplane, would you fly in it?" Without insulting me, that one statement has stuck with me for life; "Good enough" is never good enough. It has to be Right even if time and $$$ is on the line.
So glad to see you back. I was starting to worry that you had stopped work on your project or had an injury. I look forward to your next installment. Cheers from down under.
Welcome Back Finn, nice to see you got these taken care of now, looks like their ready to be fastened in. looking forward to the upcoming videos. cheers
Hey Finn, it's great to see your progress mate i'm really enjoying following your build ,and your music choice from Bourbon Street to Killarney makes it extra special.
Ho Finn - great to see the get video. Huge bummer the laminated knees were not up to standard!! Great to see you got there in the end. Keep the videos coming - looking forward to the next installment. Take care
have you thought about laying a wooden chalked deck on top? it would look amazing! It will wear better than paint, combined with your style it would work well and genuinely look fantastic. (personal opinion) Love your videos as always!
Mellow soundtrack, nice one and nice job Finn. Must’ve been tricky to land the compound angles sweetly, did you have to fudge them much to get them symmetrical-ish port and starboard? Cheers, R. 🍻
Your work will be worth it when your running in a sea. The first slam will have your eye all over it, and then, it will just be another part of the smacks integrity.
Here to feed the algorithm Finn. Is there any way to salvage the failed knee for a different use? Shame to have to toss the whole thing out. Love the sound track for this episode. Have a good week ahead.
Good to see you back Finn . I have to say every time I seem to think to myself that there hasn’t been a post from you in a while you post something . 1 thing I must comment on is your choice of background music , it’s fantastic ! What is the service you use to get so many blues instrumentals ? Keep up the great work ?
Well done, must be nearly there now. That counter stern has been a real b****r. Not sure if you reckoned how hard it was going to be when you got the boat, though I assume you knew the transom needed work. Mustn't let it be a reason for getting fed up with the boat - get that stage done, and treat it as a fresh start afterwards - easy for me to say, I'm sure I'd be thoroughly disheartened by now at how long it has taken, but you seem to be made of stronger stuff than me.
I’ve got one but for some reason i couldn’t get it working when I needed it. Very strange because there’s surely not much that can go wrong. But then again I’m useless with technology and gadgets so I could be doing something wrong

Thank you! You tube audio library is where a lot of the music comes from, but I also have had some friends supply their music
Would be easier to knock up a bit of shuttering and concrete it 🤣
Keep up the good work 👏

Finn, as always, enjoyed your video. Suggest considering acquiring a clip on mic so those of us with less than optimal hearing don't miss a word.

Nice work all around - it seems as if your skills have really advanced throughout the project, do you feel that way?
That’s the plan 👌🏻
I agree, also your vid skills are advancing!
....Hi friend, ..congratulations for the work, how many feet is the boat and how many kilos is the ballast ?? ..Success. ..up until. ...ŸŸ™..
I was starting to think you forgot about us.
Hi finn is your boat insulated or going to be insulated ?
It is, the hull is spray foamed. I was already like that when I took over the boat.
@@knotfinnishedyet9170 hi Finn I first saw you on the Sampson boat co on the tally ho do you still watch Leo’s videos Love your stuff to are you near cuxton , hoo Medway area ?
I think you missed the long boarding with Leo, because that would have been good practice! Coming along nicely though.
