Great you could get away for a bit of R&R to Wales. I'm always impressed with your perseverance and ability to keep plugging at it!! Beautiful workmanship Finn.
Such a joy to watch your largely single-handed work. To shift just one long piece of timber requires such effort and resourcefulness when you are by yourself is something that I appreciate from working by myself through the last part of my working life. Nice combination of rest work and music .
just like to say I've been watching on and off for awhile. your skills have really improved over the years and I've become a dedicated viewer now. really enjoying the series
Ta fella, just answered a question I hadn't asked yet! I need to make a 10' window sill out of 3 x 4' mahogany boards and was planning on scarfing them, I was bothered about glue choice but it appears I already have the glue you used there! Good 'ole screwfix!
Nice to see you back. I've done a lot of square copper nails riveting on 100 years old rowing boats. Someone told me some dayt that if a lady can rub her stockings on the head of the rivet whithout ruining them, this means that they have been smoothen enough. From a french viewer. Keep faith! Thank you for showing us your work.
Looking good Finn, glad you could find the time for some relaxing. The progress as always is great viewing and inspiring to those of us that have projects in the works.
I've watched other channels where someone builds a sailing boat and takes us to see secluded beaches. This is the first time where we got to secluded beaches before the ship is finished. Thanks
Fantastic amount of work done there and its amazing just how graceful the lines of the boat are with it in paint, I must say that transom area is simply beautiful
It was not until i watched this video did i realise quite how much work there was in the bulwarks. The amount of times those timbers went up and down was something else. As you say the sheer line is looking really good and there is no doubt that this down to you taking the time to get it right. Once you get the capping rails on it is going to look stunning as that is some lovely timber you have got for them. I see that you have taken a reasonable bit off the height of the floors, Are the new ones a lot thicker to compensate or is there more than enough meat in them already?
Thanks for the kind words Tim. Yes I’ve dropped the height of the sole port and starboard side in the saloon to give a larger one level floor space, but yes new timbers are chunkier. All will be explained in more detail in the next video 👍
Looking very nice! I particularly liked the 4 minutes or so where you and your … crew … were out, searching for … materials? launch/berthing sites? … whatever. And at risk of repeating myself too much, kudos on how effectively you manage to single-hand tasks that require two or three workers! Oh! On your scarf joints, have you ever considered carving/cutting the ends at matching acute angles? A bit more work, but oh, so exquisite!
I already have lots on different planes, but only one not so good compass plane. The bulwark planks are curved, so the shorter block plane made it a nice easy job
It's taking shape! Step #7: A cold beer! Also, your style of filming and video production is excellent. Easy to watch, smooth, and captivating. You're firing on all cylinders. See you soon!
Watching you run that oak through the planer makes me look at mine and consider the value of the shavings, that I then go out and throw in the compost! 😖😂 She’s looking good. Keep up the hard work.
My parents did their honeymoon on Mt Snowden, and when I was 10 I spent a week in the Brecon Beacons on a pony trekking trip. Whales is a beautiful country
Dear Mr. Finn 👍👌👏 Oh WOW, simply fantastic! A ton of progress is shown in this video. Congrats! Very well done again and as always (video and work). The design/lines of your boat are really, really beautiful. 2) 👍👌👏 Maaaan, what pictures! Thank you for showing is this amazing/wonderful/impressive landscape while having a nice trip. As always: Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health to all involved life forms (humans and dog). 😁 ;-)

The ugly duckling is showing signs of becoming the beautiful swan. Nice work.
You must be the most patient man on earth each board seems like it took forever. Congratulations. God Speed.
Great you could get away for a bit of R&R to Wales. I'm always impressed with your perseverance and ability to keep plugging at it!! Beautiful workmanship Finn.
Scarfing is definately an art form...I'm a professional at it on the buffet! Ark!
Sir Finn... what brilliant work you're doing. nice to see you out and about with Lady Finn.

She's looking really good. You doing an awesome job. 👍
You REALLY need to get yourself more more plans. To plane those long bulwark planks with a block plane is just nuts.
I already have lots on different planes, but only one not so good compass plane.
