locals tip for you. when you get to the half way cafe, take a left and ride up the railway track. you can ride it all the way to the summit cafe. you don't have to push up Allt Moses (Moses' Hill). 👍
I've got a couple of ebikes bikes, I'm thinking my next eeb may be a gearbox bike, funny enough though in all my years of riding, I've never smashed a derailer 😁
I think you are one of the lucky ones, either tgat or yiu don't take them anywhere too dodgy 😂 MGU is the way forward for sure, we'll, I think so anyway 👌👍
Tricky one that. I love my Wild FS M10, never had a thing go wrong with it, just the usual running repairs which you expect and a top adventure bike with the range extender kit but its just the bloody old fashioned drivetrain, I've had it with chains, derailleurs and cassettes breaking, snapping etc. The Nicolai however, is a thing of beauty, stunning looking and I'm very happy with the move away from the old technology, plus........ Its a Nicolai 😍😁
@@OldNorthern_eMTBer Thanks for reply. The Nicolai drive system and belt does seem to be great progress maintenance wise over conventional chain and derailleur.I look forward to seeing how you get on with it.
Nothing was going to stop me! I think its 27kg with the 960wh battery but you don't notice the weight. My Wild FS M10 was somewhere around that weight with the range extender battery on it so I'm used to it.
@@OldNorthern_eMTBer Thats Not too bad having nearly 1000wh to use,I had a Reise and Muller Rohloff 625wh Belt Drive E Shift and That Was 29.5KG,So You have 335 more WH And are 2.5kg Lighter with a Lot more Travel as mine only had 140 at the rear.
Lovely route, might have to try that myself. Thank you for sharing 😊
You're welcome - do it when the weather is nicer 😂
Fair play for dragging the bike to the top like that. 👍
It had to be done, not a lot could have stopped me 👍
Good job, mission accomplished. That drive train has got me thinking. I’m looking forward to part 2 👍🏼
Cheers 👍The MGU is well worth a look if you get the chance 👌

Nice one, thanks fort that. The push up to Clogwyn station is a pain at the best of times, let alone when its covered in ice.
Chapeau for getting up there on a bike. It's hard enough walking parts of it. A different world after the under bridge at Clogwyn.
Many thanks sir 😁 It's a popular route for bikes, need to get one of yours up there..... Gravel perchance 🤔😁
