I drive the same bike and with „Autoshift“. You should feel it. Most of the gears are changing very smooth but some more hard. But you‘re right, something is wrong.
More problems with the pinion system today. the temperature has dropped below freezing for a few days here in the uk, but nothing too cold. I went out for a ride due to it rising just above freezing, and i had no assistance at all from the motor, no faults being displayed, no change if i changed assist modes or turned the systom off and back on. The walk assist would opperate tho. So my thinking was that the battery maybe too cold and may need warming up ! One thing that has been noted to do with Lithium batteries is that if you put them under load, they heat up. with this in mind, I set the walk assist at full warp speed, sat on the bike and let it push me on for a couple of minuites. After doing this I did get full power out of the system. This is the UK and doesnt get nothing like as cold as it does for you guys in europe, and the bike stopped work with just a small drop in temperature. Now have any of you guys had any problems with your batteries. This is just one more problem with the system i have had so far !
Very frustrating, unfortunately these days the customers become the R&D for these companies, it's ok running simulation testing, but it's not the same as a few years hard riding in all conditions.
Yeah, its a bit of a bugger, especially when Pinion is a German company, Vorsprung durch Technik and all that but hey, its under warranty and I'm lucky to have Geometron 40mins down the road and I'll be dropping it off their tomorrow after Nicolai got back and said it will more likely be a motor swop once the diagnostics have been done and sent off to Pinion. At least it happened when the weather is crap 👍😂
@@OldNorthern_eMTBerwell the myth that the Germans build reliable things is alive and kicking, however they realised decades ago there's not much money in building reliable things, hence why their modern cars fall to bits easily, if you want reliability you go Japanese ☺️

Just a suggestion. Have you tried some plastic gloves ( like mechanics use ) under your gloves. Takes a bit of wind chill off and if your gloves get wet this stops your hands suffering.

@@OldNorthern_eMTBer Looks like it will need connecting uptown the Fit system, and the data logs downloading and then sending off to Pinion. Im wondering if it is one of the batch of motors that need a recall ! Mine had to be replaced due to an electronic component failure.
