There are two types of strategy/rpg youtubers: The absolute gods of minmaxing - generally annoying to see, long and very analytical. The absolute what the fuck why are you here - fun to see, internal constant annoyance at absolutely irrational and pointless decisions. Pravus has the best of both. Fun to see, efficient enough.
Tip for you, the passion books are WAY better to get especially early game, it will actually increase your productivity higher than the 20% card because the happier they are the more productive they are anyway, so it ends up being a two fold bonus, + if you look at the tech tree you can't even unlock passion books til way later game
Woah, Pravus playing one of my fav games! The effectivity of motivation card is actually depend on happiness in certain building that's called job happiness, not overall people happiness. Your coal burner is at 60% so the effectiveness of the card is 0% CMIIW. Also Mushroom Farm is great in this game. It consumes wood, but when inserted with sustainability card, it works wonder.
I funded my entire economy off of just 2 mushroom farms for the majority of my game. You slap some speed boosts on them once in a while and you're making a few thousand gold just for some small amounts of wood.
I'm really impressed by the scale of this game. You go to Banished scale for city building, on a Civilization scale map with resource balances to take into account, and can fight campaigns like in Pharaoh. Brilliant concept, looking forward to this game's growth.
I've never played this game, but isn't it a mistake to place fruit gatherers near a forest then cut down all the fruit trees leaving the building intact?
Kinda true, yes. Foresters plant trees, which increase the number of potential animals, and the priority is placed on fruit trees. But inevitably, as the area becomes more urbanized, the forester, fruit gatherer and hunter's lodges get moved. Fruits are an early game food type. Later one, you move to different food types, mainly farms. It's not rare to see huge farm districts, with mills in the center of them. In one playthrough, I've dedicated one area of the city completely to foresting, after I got the economy going. But early on you can expect a lot of rearranging and demolishing, to accommodate new buildings and an ever increasing population. Late game, the population will be so hard to control, that you will have to create dedicated districts. But in the early game, you can micromanage things and move them around. The early game is what makes or breaks the game, and you need to constantly adapt.
I’m bummed yt never gives me notifications that you posted this series. But I’m glad I’m here can’t wait to see how this series turns out. ALL HAIL PRAVUS!!!!!
I honestly enjoyed the game before I even started playing it. Got a seed called "Sloth kiss ape" after clicking randomize 3 times. It isn't even a bad seed in my opinion.
I had never heard of this game before watching this video, but I did play Banished and Civilization and it really, really looks like if these two games had a baby together, it would do this game.
May I suggest getting some Ranches? It’s a bit of an investment but they really pay off in the long run. Short term: buy some food from the Trading Port.
This game looks very interesting. While watching you mentioned that you were always lacking food. Could it be that the game encourages you to play it slowly? I mean, you quickly built all important stuff but cramped it into one section while removing nearly all trees which should deprive you from meat and fruit as a result. Could it be that it is important to leave some intact woods?
Wow. you're like the first person I've watched who hasn't lost a single citizen through year one, you even had a tribe join you right off the gate. nice job Pravus!
I've been trying to remember an old PC game, it had forts and log cabins where you could put your men and artillery in, for the life of me I cannot remember it's damn name!!
Is the resource mechanics based on pure extraction/explotiation, or is it possible to manage your resources more sustainably, in balance with the natural regeneration of renewable resources?
I feel like the resources in this game are not entirely... well chosen. Like Wood, Iron, Coal, Cotton, Animals yeah, seem important Cocoa, Tulips, Canabis? ... not really
180 ° Turn! SEEK YE the LORD while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near: [Isaiah 55:6 KJV] FROM THAT time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. [Matt. 4:17 KJV] 180 ° Turn!
Was very intrigued by this game, until I saw there is a random card mechanic? Ugh, instant refuse for me. WHy do devs insist on having card mechanics in their NOT-CARD-GAMES!?

Uh...happy birthday! Or late birthday. I think it's your birthday, because the discord still has the channel...?
I generally don't, but why the heck not.
I don’t even have steam but ok
Poggies

Praise! Let all know his name
Omg he’s back!! Yes! thank the gods!

you forgot the roleplayers who will try min max but sometimes make a stupid decision because he thinks its who or what he is playing would do
And then there's Let's Game It Out who torments every game he puts his hands on

you must be indonesian
Correct me if i'm wrong, but; if i remember correctly, buying land with food is something you unlocked later on
That was removed, you cant buy land with food anymore.
@@thedragonstorm9674 Well, you sort of can still do it. Get the sell food cards, then use the money from them to buy land ;)

Thank you very much for playing Kingdoms Reborn, Pravus :)
I've never played this game, but isn't it a mistake to place fruit gatherers near a forest then cut down all the fruit trees leaving the building intact?
Probably! Same with the hunter's lodge and even the forester, considering that the territory he's placed it in is becoming increasingly urbanized!
Kinda true, yes. Foresters plant trees, which increase the number of potential animals, and the priority is placed on fruit trees. Foresters have the option not to cut down the fruit trees.
you can actually prioritize if they cut down the fruit trees or not, its actually very efficient
Happy birthday my lord! Praise pravus!
Praise be!
Praise Pravus!
Thanks for the likes, everyone! This is the most I’ve ever gotten!
To my knowledge, anyway
“Farming is important” avoids farming and almost starves everyone
Yay kingdoms reborn is back xD
btw if you have tulips as your start. shouldn't it be appropriate to name your town Amsterdam? :D
I love this game's premise
ah, yes, tulips and weed, the qualities of life
Oh mighty lord pravus
Praise Pravus!
Forgotten about this game until the yt algorithm showed me this video. Definitely a follow, and excited for its release
I’m bummed yt never gives me notifications that you posted this series. But I’m glad I’m here can’t wait to see how this series turns out. ALL HAIL PRAVUS!!!!!
Pls continue this seires
Whilst chosing a starting point you should also take into consideration that you can only expand 10-15 tiles from your starting location
Milestone game. REALLY GOOD.
I honestly enjoyed the game before I even started playing it. Got a seed called "Sloth kiss ape" after clicking randomize 3 times. It isn't even a bad seed in my opinion.
The larger the farms, the better, cause you get the most for the worker that will be assigned :)
Make a single worker work for three for profit. Classical capitalist oppresion. Disaprove
Been waiting for this!!!!!
All good things to those who wait.
Pls don't let this fire die out.
I had never heard of this game before watching this video, but I did play Banished and Civilization and it really, really looks like if these two games had a baby together, it would do this game.
More more more! This game is fun!!!
May I suggest getting some Ranches? It’s a bit of an investment but they really pay off in the long run.
Short term: buy some food from the Trading Port.
Looks fun! It's kinda like banished and civ at the same time

Is the resource mechanics based on pure extraction/explotiation, or is it possible to manage your resources more sustainably, in balance with the natural regeneration of renewable resources?

👍👍👍
Why not play new hoi4 update from paradox
Because right now he has an EU4 series, a CK3 series, and now a new KR1 series. Besides that, he recently finished a HOI4 series. Cut him some slack.
The speed up botton is too slow now.
Hey Pravus! Play Dwarf Fortress instead of this! Stay cool!!
Please don’t demand things, it makes it less likely for him to do it
What is dwarf fortress
Soooo.....Dont play DWF!!! :)
@@laurienorthrup6252 It’s a similar game to this, just a bit more steampunky
