Looks like they've hooked another fisherman, with the tackle.😂 Thanks for the video. We have not mastered the kokanee yet still chasing mostly walleye and burbot. We have trolled a perch rapala in winter spring on the surface and did well for bows and kokanee. It's hard to leave the walleye when you know you can get them.
TCP's rescued us from an otherwise 1-fish day (KCP) on the lake Saturday when it was loaded with suspended junk from dam releases and recent storms...stopping short of calling them a game changer, but it was a tough bite until we switched 2 rods to tcp's and they got all the action.
Year round is great fishing with some slow weeks because of weather and water level changes. If I had to pick only 4months to fish it I would pick April, may June July,
Oh those look great, i missed getting in on the tasmanian devils,,let us know how they do…Where did you order the little minnow bodies,,i got some a year ago but cant remember where i got them from or what they are called🙄 i tie a little flash on top hook then put eyes going down to immitate a shrimp,,,have worked well.
Start at Keller and head down river 1 mile to the tall cliffs or head north between Lincoln and Keller called the goat farm. Flatline behind the boat no weight. At least 150 ft behind the boat. Heavier dodgers like arrowflash or superfly or Koka bow. 12-16 inch leaders to something simple. Try pink maggots or corn with krill and salt. Or corn with tuna oil from a can and salt. If I had to pick 1 location I would go to the goat farm right now just before Lincoln boat launch heading up river. Troll the middle of the river. You should see boats there.
Go past the state park through the narrows. ⬅️the part of the lake that gets really narrow above the state park. Start fishing on your right hand side just past the narrows. Arrowflash dodgers to micro hoochies. 8-12 inch leader. Kokanee will be 65-120 ft down. Orange garlic tuna corn. You will see other boats out at that spot. 1.2 mph trolling speed.
I’ve been watching the stocks and they do a good job getting them back up fairly quick. Haven’t bought any yet but that’s only because my wife glared at me again when I said I need more kokanee lures to play with. It will happen😂
Kokabow puts out a "Kokabug" that uses those same cylindrical head w/ the painted eye. They've definitely caught fish for me.
Awesome, my Tasmanian Cut Plugs are showing up in the mail tomorrow... can't wait for Sunday.
They are even better in person.
