- The Bowerman Track Club 5k had a record 1,100 racers. It was a fun-filled night of running, prizes, BTC professionals, and food trucks. The girl (633) at 9:21 missed sub-18 mins by about 5 seconds. It looked like she was going to cry. :(
The nice part about the 5K (as opposed to the marathon) is that she can give it another try in a week.
On a cooler day, she's got it.
Gwen should train with Pat so he could have more of a Fighting Chance in the next 5K
Pat, check out parkrun. Not sure if there are any near you, but its a FREE 5km timed event held every Saturday morning.
