Great stuff Gwen and crew!...you can really tell your on the rivet when you get into that 2 step breathing rhythm!!..loved it when Stanley stepped in to steal the show for a minute. I call on all the viewers to project and amplify your BOLDNESS....I hope I can speak for everyone when I say "We believe in you and support your journey!"
Gwen mentioning mexican after shes back… reminds me sometimes when im deep into my long runs in the freezing cold… the thought of the nice warm food waiting when im back.. gives me strength to keep pushing 😅😅
I’m so interested in this sports psychologist. I watch a lot of triathlon and cycling you tube channels and I can’t remember ever seeing one before. I had no idea they come out on workouts with you from time to time in addition to meeting and talking. The workouts are where all the talking needs to be enacted…so cool. I vote for more Jason!
What I so admire of you is your ability to block others peoples opinion of what you should or shouldn't do. The commitment to your own journey weather is running or tri. Life lesson and motivational, thank you for staying true to yourself on top of everything.
wow! gosh you are fast. makes me want to be as bold as Gwen. "dont get caught up in what might happen", "bring it back to the present moment". one spiced up variation is 5 x 1k / 200m with similar recoveries around the 200m sprint. The ks just start feeling comfortable, and the 200s pass too quick.
You are a racer from the gut. Holding back burns me up also. But we are gutsy and bold. Your running form looks better than running year. You are looking amazing. Keep pushing
i enjoyed this video and your vlog type videos in general. cool to see more daily life and training of a professional athlete. reminded me of sweat elite. also, nitpicking here but the thumbnail says threshold but surely this was not threshold lol
I wander how many seconds per km you 'subtract' to account for the surface you are running on. From hearing the sound of your footsteps I get the impression the gravel is quite loose. My opinion is you would be 8" - 10" per rep faster on tarmac, concrete or a track.
@@GwenJorgensen do you use Lactate monitoring in your training ? Veronique Billat: French Physiologist was a pioneer in vVO2 MAX training. Good luck in your goals 4 this year! Interesting when I was running hills repeats with a group and was completely fatigued and couldn't finish the high number of 12 1 minute hills. So I gave myself permission to stop : when I did that my body relaxed and I felt better and was able to do a few more! That's reverse Psychology: it helped me on a workout that was too much volume for a runner who was a Sprinter in High school and College.
I do a very thorough warmup before kilos, too. Not because I want to start off fast, though. Because I'm scared of how the workout is gonna feel! 🤮 Don't know how your training is going but your UA-cam is banging.
In the middle of the night, I scrolled by the thumbnail of this video, and then I had the strangest nightmare about you Gwen. Somehow I ended up being an assistant to a physical therapist (not what I do in real life) who was doing a treatment on you at your home. You were initially in a lot of pain and screaming at the top of your lungs, and then felt great after I sang you a song (what?). Then suddenly, everything shifted and I was on some podcast with you and your husband. You both were yelling at me calling me all sorts of names and telling me my favorite football team sucked (lol). I woke up with the biggest WTF look on my face ever! LOL. Now it's later in the day and I'm watching this video with mixed feelings. HAHAHA
"Feelings don't dictate outcomes" You said it a few years ago in a video and I've remembered it ever since! Great video!

it's often where i lose my present focus and start to think about food haha

Wow! This was a very cool video. Love that the vibe is calm yet super focused.
Such incredible running a thing of art
Thank you for taking us along on your journey
Much appreciated
Great video! Would love more content like this- truly appreciate the honesty and vulnerability in these types of training videos.
Love following your journey Gwen. Your hard work and positive attitude is so impressive and you are a true role model. Continued success...
Be bold, be present and trust...love it Gwen!
Having a psychologist on a run is just next level. Personally not sure how I feel about it. Good work
Beautiful video, I love her stride and words of wisdom from fellow Aussie sports psychologist ❤

it was threshold set...but meant to go out faster then settle to AT pace
Great video Gwen, super intense. Also great skids from the psychologist, I would prefer more drifting though 😂
drift cars!
Great watch! 👌
Feelings don't matter!
This was awesome 👏
Great video! I love that she is working with a sports psychologist out there!
Does the polar pacer pro show your mile minute pace in real time? ..How did you calculate the 3:07 1k pace?
from my stryd post run
Thank you, Gwen.
hi Gwen, how much rest did you have between the reps? :)
about 3 min
Way to grind, Gwen!
Very nice!
How long was the rest period between each rep?
as much as needed ... i did about 3 min
Wow! Absolutely hauin' it
Nice workout. Do you use Strava? Keep the work Gwen
sure do

the actual numbers don't matter too much...all about effort here :)

Gwen giving it the beans... What's not to like...? :D
Complete opposite of the Norwegian method but I love it
How long you've been training Gwen? 3 min / km is elite speed.
I have a background in running and it tends to come quicker than the swim/bike when I'm coming back into season.
I do a very thorough warmup before kilos, too. Not because I want to start off fast, though. Because I'm scared of how the workout is gonna feel! 🤮 Don't know how your training is going but your UA-cam is banging.

@@GwenJorgensen Nope, the Eagles 😂
Stay bold 🫶
gotta be an e-bike so he can keep up
get a bike !!!
It's difficult to run faster dressed in so much clothing. Why don't you try
on an indoor track? Greetings from Italy
possibly you run slower,....but this is all about effort. The actual time doesn't mean much.
