Elbow Ridge Scramble Winnats Pass

The first episode of my ultimate scramble fest.
Elbow ridge is a grade 3 scramble and should only be undertaken by the experienced scrambler.
Located in the beautifull peak district in the Winnats pass. Possible to link up with the Matterhorn ridge.
Parking before castleton, short walk in to the ridge which has a roadside start. the steepest part, the elbow, starts great followed by the knife edge ridge.

Remember, it’s only dangerous if you fall! A bit of exposure there mate, but the rock looked grippy. 👍

Rock was loose in places but sound for most of it. Tad of exposure but nothing major. It's only dangerous if you land 😂

Nice! I was here two years ago but it was winter and raining the day before so I left without going up. Looks like a great ridge, I'd love to try it, in the dry of course.

It was raining when we tried I lead and got up to that top final last section and we went back down so we could stay alive
