DELTARUNE Chapter 2 Secret Track - "Noelle.ogg"
Вставка
- Опубліковано 19 вер 2021
- Earlier, I was looking through the Deltarune game files, trying to see if I could find any hidden secrets (spoiler alert: I did! more on that in a few days).
Probably the most interesting thing I found though was this unused track: "Noelle.ogg". It's an upbeat version of Noelle's Theme (Lost Girl), and I think it sounds pretty alright, so I've decided to upload it here, looped once. - Ігри
Seems like this is an early version of Noelle's theme. Given how much more energetic it is compared to the final, my guess is it was probably scrapped for the current, softer piece. The final one definitely fits Noelle better IMO. Also yeah it sounds a lot like the credits theme for Chapter 2, but I guess it's a more apparent leitmotif than I though. I'll have to keep an ear out as I listen to the OST while I work lol.
i mean. this sounds more like noelles theme if she ends up going out with suisie. maybe the original theme intended for the ferris wheel?
Deltarune spoilers
Perhaps we'll see a reappearance of the theme in later chapters now that Noelle is starting to seem more assured and confident within herself? I overall doubt it, but I do think it could be possible
@@dolotorio9304 You might be right. I wouldn't be surprised if it appears in later chapters after Noelle's character growth.
Something tells me that "Girl Next Door" is actually what substituted this piece. Seeing as how it has the same "Noelle" motif albeit a lot more subtle, and its very similar rhythm and instrumentation.
@@sonoxas7176 That's the song I was referring to, I just forgot the official name.
Toby fox said that the lost girl song changes depending on how many friends you make, so maybe this is going to be used when we meet more allys in the later chapters
I wonder what happens if we go deeper into the other path then...
@@MrNexis3 Can't really. Since you cannot backtrack in the segments with Noelle, you quickly run out of enemies to freeze and kill
@@helohel5915 Chapter 3
@@helohel5915 I meant the full game, in which we will probably be able to continue the genocide path.
When did toby say that, just being curious, I want to see the tweet (i presume it's a tweet).
Lost Girl and Noelle's normal theme are both great, but I love the jolly vibes of this song slightly more, so I'm sad this doesn't appear to be used in-game
WHY ARE U EVERYWHERE WTF?!?
@@Troy_The_Boi surrender to chris
@@Troy_The_Boi hey its his choice
YOUR EVERYWHERE. *EVERYWHERE I GO, I SEE YOUR FACE*

This could work pretty well as the version that'd play when Noelle is finally full of confidence and boldness.
Sth like vs. Susie.... But with very different meanings ofc.
It's maybe a bit to happy sounding for that...
@@nigoulenoblehiboux9812 during a pacifist run when she and berdly wake up it makes sense to play i think
@@FrNSICs yeah you right. It would be nice for when she tries to see Susie tail
i was thinking the same thing! like with lillie in pokemon sun and moon, where she has a more energetic and happy theme once she gets more confident in herself
@@nigoulenoblehiboux9812 that's sound sus 😳
I think this would fit in a different chapter, where Noelle is more confident in herself, kind of like how Lillie (pokemon sun and moon)'s theme changed from the original to lively Lillie to steely Lillie to lonely Lillie. It does sound like her a lot though, as she's a big fan of Christmas things.
If she's alive to feel confident, that is.
@@sh1ftyy if she could sheercold people? Yeah I think she’s going to be just fine
exactly
Nice reference to Lillie! I loved Sun and Moon, and Noelle does give similar vibes. They’re both shy, innocent girls that consider themselves “too weak” to do anything for themselves, they both have overbearing moms that won’t give them the freedom they need, their families are both broken in some way (Noelle losing Dess/Lillie losing her dad, their moms being super strict, etc), and they both slowly break out of their shell and grow stronger as people the more you and your friends help them.
(Except in the Snowgrave route where you make Noelle a million time worse)
Actually, "Noelle" is very close to "Noël" which is the French word for Christmas!
this track alone tells us how much of sweetheart Noelle is omg
Yeah haha she couldn't hurt a fly haha... ha
certainly not a bird haha..
@@blackbabyyy4782 yeahhh no one not anything that flies…. Certainly
Snowgrave but i don't think thats really her fault
@@WingmanCat it really isn’t since under normal circumstances, that isn’t supposed to happen
This sounds more fitting for the ending of the game rather than a theme for a character
The intro to this song actually reminded me of the credits song... Sort of.
@@neonoah3353 me too, both intros are kinda similar
I feel like this is the theme that plays when Rudy gets out of the hospital and you visit her home…
I’m hoping Rudy survives
maybe his death is the next s.grave route
im sorry man i dont think rudy is getting out of this game
alive
This arrangement of Noelle's leitmotif is very reminiscent of the one in the Ferris Wheel theme... was this track maybe an unused version of that one?
Perhaps...although imagine how different that scene would feel with that track instead! If this was originally going to play on the Ferris Wheel, I'm glad it was changed, as the Ferris Wheel scene stood out to me as having some of the most fitting music in the whole game.
@@MediaMotifs I agree there, the Ferris Wheel scene just felt so fitting with the music it ended up having, the very simplistic and cutesy chiptune. It would have definitely felt very different if it had this theme instead.
I had an alternate idea. Maybe it really is an unused version of a different Noelle theme than Ferris Wheel, maybe Girl Next Door, that Toby ended up not using, but still wanted to fit this variation/rendition of Noelle's leitmotif somewhere, so he used it in Ferris Wheel.
This sounds like the music that will play if Susie ends up taking Noelle on a date to the festival
Just add Susie's leitmotif, and you're golden.
Huh. Don't think it's used in game either!
(Also, damn, Toby makes even the unused tracks slap..)
I've been listening to this song for a while now...
It makes me feel so happy... As if, even for just a moment, the world wasn't such a dark and scary place
Yea me tooo
When you feel like that remember the same beings fill you with fear can fill you with peace and joy
It sounds like this song was originally going to be used either when you meet Noelle before entering the dark world at the beginning of chapter 2, or during the ferris wheel section where Susie and Noelle talk to each other. Either way, it seemed like Toby decided to scrap it most likely due to its overly cheerful nature.
At least we get to hear more of Toby's epic music though, so it's not all bad :)
Hope this gets used in Chapter 4 or 5 for the Pacifist/Neutral Route. Would love to see Noelle return as a party member.
The thing is i think she has a higher chance of being a party member again in THAT route
Ok?
100%. I'm very attached to her now and I would love to see her become an official part of the fun gang in future chapters
I was saying ok to Arek.K
Assuming their name is still that by the time this message is seen
@@BokuNoDensetsuNoHoshi oh ok
I like to imagine Kris is playing the piano here
pERHAPS it will be used when the town actually has a festival going on hope we get to see suzie and noelle in an actual ferris wheel.
There's also another unused (I believe) track called alarm_titlescreen.ogg in the files.
Yeah, I saw that one too but I thought the Noelle track was more interesting. Also, is it just me or is the second half of the alarm_titlescreen song *very* familiar? I'm sure I recognize it from somewhere but I can't put my finger on it.
nah, it's dogcheck in deltarune
I wonder if it plays in the debug placeholder title screen too
semi-unused? its dogcheck (corrupted save)
it IS called in the code and its not SUPPOSED to be reached in normal gameplay, but it DOES play if a file is corrupted in deltarune
so its not meant to play normally but its meant to be possible to hear ingame
This song is so lovely and cheery! I could totally see it being used in some flashback to when Kris, Noelle, Asriel and Dess were kids or something, if we ever do get something like that.
i really wanna this be used in the game it sounds so wholesome
i feel like this would have been the theme if we got to see Dess in a flashback
it seems like December dying is a lot of what's pushed Noelle into the space she is now
I think there are a few motifs in Noelle.ogg, and I think the motifs are Jingle Bells, Fallen Down, parts of the Snowdin area, Heartache or the Ruins area. These are just what I think is in the song, but this could be wrong since I don't have any clue if it's in the song or not lol.
I'll take any info at all about Noelle, really. She's such an interesting character to me, and this track sounds so upbeat and cheery! It's quite adorable.
I feel like this could work for either later in the game when Noelle is more confident or during a flashback to when Kris, Noelle, Asriel, and the fan theory sister name December.
I love Noelle’s theme so much, its propably my favorite in all of Deltarune so far. I hope you make a vid about it at some point!
I’m just kind of worried about that one part in Noelle's themes, including this one, that sounds like THE WORLD REVOLVING... it’s subtle, but it makes me wonder what will happen further into the Weird Route of the game, after all, Spamton NEO does tell us that continuing the Weird Route will make us free...
Awww, it's so cheery! I almost kinda want this as a ringtone or something, I'll have to go about sorting that out I guess. It's cute! Reminds me of the scrapped Berdly tune at the end of the OST album.
It sounded like the credits song "until next time" to me for a moment there (after listening to both songs I don't think there's a connection)
I hear a bit of Papyrus’ theme at 1:11 but it could be the general leitmotif of Deltarune or gaster’s theme
@@Joever5634 i get what you mean, those 4 notes in ascending order ua-cam.com/video/FezNgPThD3M/v-deo.html
This song gives me "music for area centered around noelle" vibes. Maybe it will be used later in noelle's house since that's off limits for now.
lol yeah that's what i was thinking. i think there were unused door visuals in the files too so it makes sense to me anyways
I love how the replay bar slowly increases throughout the video
I was looking through the files too and I found this!
I feel like The Girl Next door suits Noelle better. However I think I would come back to listen to this version a lot more.
This sounds like an earlier concept version of girl next door, before it was made to be softer in tone than the sharper tones of a piano
this seems like the theme that'd play if we finally got past the gates and visited noelle's room
No, it sounds like the music that would play when taking the Snowgrave route...
@@oscargonzalez3599 1) i hadn't listen to the girl next door track in a while when i heard this 2) talking mostly ab 0:34 and onwards
@@oscargonzalez3599 Uh, this soundtrack doesn't sound related to snowgrave at all. It doesn't sound dark nor sad.
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
This feels like a mashup between noelle's theme and the song at the chapter 2 credits, i cant really see it being used anywhere except maybe inside noelle's house or her room in the real world?
Can’t wait for the gasters themes you find in ch2, if you end up making a vid on them! For me, it’s basically explicitly in spamtons shop theme
I think you can also hear it in Killer Queen
Actually, Spamtoms shop theme is a leitmotief of The world revolving
@@AloneTraveler444 "the world revolving", "dialtone" and "big shot" all use a motif that's an extension of gaster's theme.
Most noticeable in the track "Flashback Excerpt"
@@AloneTraveler444 i know, there’s more than one lol
It has been theorized that "lost girl" Is actually dess' (december's) theme.
While it is assumed that dess is dead, there are no gravestones marked for her. So we actually don't know if she is dead or just "lost" Somewhere
Noelle was probably one of my favourite characters of the game to be honest.
Ralsei disagree
Oh hey, a pepy theme containing Lost Girl's leit motif. I'm sure this won't play in the upcoming Christmas themed chapter that takes place with Rudy in the hospital where her deceased/missing sister fights you, reincarnated as the angel statue in Rudy's hospital room. More headcanon at 11.
This song is such a vibe tho- I love it lol
it's the full leitmotif!! it's used in the three noelle songs (gnd/lost girl/ferris wheel)
Ironically, this would probably fit Ralsei's Charlie Brown dance.
Imagine this playing during the Snowgrave route
Perfect and fitting....
Hopefully this would be used in the following chapters, if not then I would be incredible upset
I think it’s gonna be used later when Noelle gains confidence
interesting composition, its 4/4 but its split like this: 123-123-12-123-123-12
i like it!
Reminds me of an animal galopping along, which I guess makes sense considering Noelle is a deer.
I'd say this is the "base motif" that was used for the other Noelle tracks, if I had to guess
This fits in the scene after Giga Queen.
this song makes me happy for some reason and i love it
Sounds like something that would play in her house
lost girl, girl next door, ferris wheel and this one are pretty much same versions of the same tune anyway. they share the same leitmotif (0:18), it's just harder to spot in "girl next door"
it has the Faint Glow lemitof at the start and middle, nice
This is interesting it's a cheery vibe but the notes are being hit so hard it feels intentional
I really hope this sound track will be used for the next chapters
It’s sad that this was unused, but this is still awesome.
noelle is so fucking cute
I just want to say that I found this as well in the files and I found that it most resembles the new credits music for the end of chapter 2
I just noticed the leitmotif has the small snippet of "Fallen Down" from UT
maybe that's young Noelle theme, maybe there'll be flashback or something when mentioning the adventure in the woods thing
also 'sans' in the file is name muscle, ok bye
my god i forgot this existed can we just time travel back to chapter 2 release
It’s like a mix of the credits theme of chapter 2 and noelles current theme
This song feels like straight out from a pkm game
yeah, like lively lillie in sun and moon
Just out of pure curiosity, do you think that you can make it sound like the sound effect during the move "snowgrave" if you just speed it up fast enough ? That seems like something Toby Fox would do, just sayin.
Idk why but it kinda reminds me of Bianca from PKMN BW for some reason, gives me similar cute chipper vibes.
I really like this song, hopefully it ends up being used in the full game because this one fillls me with such pleasent wholesome vibes.
Opposite of the Weird Route.
THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL SONG
It sounds suspiciously similar to a default MIDI soundfont I heard, as if the team was just testing the melody
i found this while trying to search after Cyberfields' file when Chapter 2 came out
"It wasn't even him that destroyed the Barrier. It was Asriel... And Chara."
i hope toby decides to use this song in the next chapters.. it's so cheerful and catchy.
Reminds me of the ending music for chapter 2. Or at least the 1st part of the song
This song perfectly matches the Ferris Wheel theme so it's very likely that it was an early version of it.
It sounds a lot happier! Like it would be her theme in the light world if she had one
The beginning kinda reminds me of the song that plays at the end of chapter 2, the choppiness sounds familiar to me
it has been out for only couple of days, and people already found a lot of stuff.
this used to be my ringtone
Bruh in chapter 1 it took people a month to find stuff like this now just a day it's crazy XD
DELTA2RUNE ENDING
I have a feeling Toby might be holding onto it for the next chapter, he felt it wasn’t polished enough to his liking, or he felt it didn’t fit the moment it was intended to be a part of when play testing it.
Isn't this the version of Noelle's theme that toby posted on twitter before the game came out?
the intro to the song feels like might turn into a boss theme, or is that just me?
The opening reminds me of fallen down, from Undertale.
I hope they include a piano and the option to play this song on it in the game as an Easter egg. It’s so jazzy~❤️
God I love Noelle
I think I heard this before while playing mario kart DS
Noelle.egg.
There was 1K likes , and when I liked the video , it turned into 1.1 K , I am the 1100th like ! Yey !
Also , can you edit the dialogue in the game files ?
This one is unused, the one that WAS used is either lost girl or girl next door :D
There's also an unused Cyber City version named 'Cyber City Old' (ty op!!) which is basically just a sped up version. Also worth noting that in the files, Jevil is referred to as Joker.
Cyber City Alternate Version is actually the version which plays on the Snowgrave route. I think the old version is just a slightly sped up version.
@@MediaMotifs ahhh ok ty for explaining!
Maybe itll be used in future chapters
I wonder if the part that plays from 0:37 to 0:53 will be used as a leitmotif in a different song cause its sounds like it could
I feel that this was song was scrapped and replaced by the song that plays on the Ferris wheel
i think it is supposed to be the song that plays when susie talks with noelle in the school but got replaced with [[ girl next door ]]
this is WAY better than the used one
Some parts of it sounds like the song that plays in the end of Chapter 2. I cant be the only one that hears that, right?
I have a feeling if we see the inside of Noelle's house in a future chapter this is the song that will play
Guess you could call it "Noelle.nogg"
I don't think it has been used but there is a very similar one that plays right before Kris and Susie go into the dark world being when Noelle invites them to the library, it also plays I think once in the dark world but perhaps I am mistaken on that last statement
Edit:
I found the song
ua-cam.com/video/osv7bOpLzfc/v-deo.html
This song is the base for the ferris wheel song
Kris can play the piano, I wonder if this is how he would play. To bad we don’t know how to play.
honestly, with how well the genocide route was hidden i wouldnt be surprised if this was just hidden super super well
