This kinda black classic streak you guys are on is so refreshing! I think I speak for everyone when I say PLEASE keep going, we’re going to tune in to each & every one! 😂🤭
AGREED! I love seeing triple platinum black films pop up in these spaces. It’s like when you show your friend a movie for the first time just waiting for them to get to the plot twist 😂
The series Final Chapters is like the final boss. A total accumulation of each character really. The single most beautiful piece of writing by Malcolm D Lee 💯
Sanaa is actually from black Hollywood Royalty her father is Stan Lathan, legendary film director, she is amazing in Love and Basketball, Blade, Brown Sugar and the beautiful romantic movie Something New ....
I’m always weary of non Black creators reacting to our classics (I’ve seen plenty that have been rude) but you were both so respectful, receptive and sweet 🤍 thank you for this!
Fun Fact: Terrance Howard was really playing the guitar and actually learned how to play for the movie and learned well enough to perform that scene in just a few months. There is a Best Man 2 and a mini series on Peacock which are both very good as well.
Oh we're out the Tyler Perry loop? Yessssss 😂 It's about to get really good. I'm still begging for a Set it Off reaction. Definitely gotta do Best Man Holiday.
As a 40 year old black man that loves movies in general. It really warms my heart to see non black people reacting to black movies. I grew up in an era where it didn't feel like non black folks watched black movies or movies with majority black cast. Especially outside of comic book stuff. Its so many gems that haven't been reacted to on the bigger reaction channels. Hopefully I didn't offend anyone because thats not my intention, just my experience.
Fun fact, the slap Jordan give Harper was accidentally real. She got so into the scene and actually slapped him. The "wooooo" was actually him recollecting himself to not react and ruin the scene. He did not speak to her for a while after that because he though she was unprofessional.
Quentin was really The Best Man out of all of them because he was unapologetically himself throughout while the other bruhz were being/ pretending who they ain’t. And he wanted the others to just be “real” with themselves.
Harper is such the judge mental friend that throws rocks and hides his hands friend that I wouldn’t want in my circle. I’m so happy about the black cast movie reactions from this channel it’s literally giving me joy in a hard time in my life right now. Thank y’all so much please add the sequel “The Best Man Holiday” to the reaction list. I’m really enjoying this black Hollywood rabbit hole journey you guys are on! Keep it going 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Harold Perrineau was also in Romeo + Juliet 1996) as Mercutio and he’s the BEST part of the movie for me. You should watch on your own time if you haven’t already!
Yall two are successfully tapping into an untapped market. Reactions to black movies. I love it. I told my friends and they are checking yall out too. Keep this going man cause these are movies I dont see many if anyone reacting too. AND, you two are some of the best reactors on youtube. The comments are funny and on point. You dont spend a long time talking and you dont talk over the good part. Plus , my brother to the left. Your laugh is so genuine. Id make it my ring tone if I could. seriously. some folks on these reactions give a snicker or a fake laugh but yours is for real. And i aint forget about you "Side Salad' LOL Hey, I called you that because you referred to someone as that in a Tyler Perry movie and I laughed my ass off when you said it. Its stuck in my head and im not calling you that to diminish your role on this channel. I just think of it when I see you because you said it. Your comments are always on target and funny as hell. Keep on reacting. I got other friends i need to tell.
Fun fact: The slap Jordan gave Harper was not part of the script. Taye Diggs wasn’t expecting Nia Long to do that but he stayed in character, so his reaction was real. I was way to young to watch this movie but that’s one fact I’ve always known. 😅😅
Something New (2006) - Sanaa Lathan and Simon Baker Best Man Holiday (2013) - Sanaa Lathan, Taye Diggs, Morris Brown Sugar (2002) - Sanaa Lathan, Taye Diggs The Preacher's Wife (1996) - Whitney Houston and Denzel Washington Set It Off (1996) - Jada Pinkett, Queen Latifah, Vivica Fox
Harper is soooooo unaware of himself, which makes it impossible for him to recognize how well his friends actually know him. He thought they would read it like the public as opposed to picking up on all the clues that those who are close to him recognize instantly. That being said, had things played out the way Harper wanted, I think it would've been worse. Lance would've still picked up on the cues, been pissed, and only had Mia to address or resent.
Fun fact: Sanaa Lathan (Robin) and Regina Hall (Candy the Stripper) are real life best friends. Sanaa's dad is also a well known Hollywood director and producer. And yes, Do the Right Thing please.
This movie/movie series has in my opinion some of the best cast chemistry ever put to film. That’s why all the friendship scenes work so well, they just feel real.
Love this movie. One of my favorite. Love that you guys are exploring black cinema. Had the Best Man poster in my room growing up. Loved Morris Chestnut
I am so glad you guys are watching these movies. Sadly, Black cinema is treated as a second-class citizen in Hollywood. Seemingly considered movies that only black people would watch, but we have great stories, some real ones with heart, comedy, and hope, sometimes they have a moral center and some real wisdom. I say that to say, the fact, that you guys are so open to watching and you're recognizing that you really missed out on good storytelling - gives me hope that the next time a "Black" movie comes to the theatre you will not feel intimidated about going to support it. Sanaa Lathan is in "Love and Basketball" and "Something New". I would love to see your response to "Do the Right Thing", "Higher Learning", "Undercover Brother", "The Best Man Holiday", "School Daze", "The Temptations", "The Five Heartbeats", "Waiting to Exhale", "House Party" 1 and 2, "Girls Trip" and "Soul Food" are solid choices for reacting to. You guys make me so happy that you are going on this journey.
And if you love Sanaa, you will absolutely love her in Love & Basketball. The actress who plays her mother in The Family that Preys, Alfre Woodard, also plays her mother in Love & Basketball and the movie Something New. They have played mother & daughter in 3 movies. Maybe more but those are the 3 I know about.
YES so glad you guys are getting into this series. Definitely watch the best man holiday and another good movie with Taye Diggs and Sanaa Lathan is Brown sugar and another Sanaa movie is Love and Basketball. And for some more Nia long . Love jones is a classic black rom com with her as the lead
Undercover Brother! YASSSSS! I'm an older, always-try-to-be dignified Black woman yet that movie has me literally falling out of my chair at the movie theater!
They haven't seen Love & Basketball they have only seen her in The Family That Preys Together. I waited to see how long it took them to recognize her from that movie.
Definitely gotta watch The Best Man Holiday. The way they used the actual time gap between the 1st one and it in real life and wrote it into the script was dope!
The actor who played Tank in the Matrix was also in OZ the TV series. Nia long is in so many iconic Black movies. Please watch Best Man Holiday and Best Man Final Chapters the limited series.
I had no business watching this as young as I did, I wish I could have watched this as an adult for the first time. However, I wouldn’t trade my 2000’s childhood for ANYTHING. My older siblings and cousins thinking I was sleeping but I was enjoying the movies instead is timeless. 😂 Please add “Set It off” to the list! Edit: and also “Love and Basketball“ and Tyler Perry’s “Temptation Confession of a Marriage Counselor “ please!
if you want more Sanaa Lathan, watch Love and Basketball. Sanaa Lathan and Taye Diggs also play love interests in Brown Sugar. those 2 movies are also black classics you would enjoy
Yes, one of Sanaa Lathan best roles IMO, my daughter used to watch it every day after school. The movie is great. Love and Basketball. ❤ * Girl's don't play basketball. *Ball better than you*

@digthewarmth I actually love it. It can be sensual but also really silly and fun. I've caught it a couple times. I'd ask permission if they we4e okay with me getting a Lil wild
I love this black classic trip you're going on. Please add to the list... Set It Off, Vampire in Brooklyn, Soul Food, The Preachers Wife, How Stella got her groove back, and Paid in Full
Oh my god. let's go!!!!! this is one of my favorite movies. And to answer eternal question that this movie poses: all three of them was wrong Lance was wrong for cheating on Mia, Mia was wrong for sleeping with Harper and lying, and Harper was wrong for sleeping with Mia and then having the balls to write a book about it. Sidenote: Morris Chestnut was the definition of FINE AF in this movie.
Regina Hall played Candy the stripper she is also Brenda from the Scary Movie franchise great reaction guys the second film Beat Man Holiday is just as good but very emotional
If yall havent watched "Think like a man" , the 1st and 2nd movie, yall should definitely watch it. One of my fave comedic movies😂 Levin harts in it so you know its funny, funny😂😂
You should DEFINITELY watch "Do the Right Thing," "Brown Sugar," "Love Jones," "Love & Basketball," "New Jack City," "Dead Presidents," "Menace II Society," "Moonlight," "Undercover Brother," "Set It Off," "Meteor Man" & "Black Dynamite."
These reactions have been great. Some of my favorites are Crooklyn, Lackawanna Blues, The Five Heartbeats, Love and Basketball, Eve's Bayou, and Panther. Can't wait to see what you all do next.
I really love your reactions, your chemistry is so dope. I chuckle at all your jokes, it’s really like watching a movie with friends because our humour is so similar.. some of the things you say are stuff I would stay. 😅😅❤❤
It’s really good to see people embracing black films who may not typically be familiar. This film is brilliant and has been long-loved amongst the community. A few notes: Harold Perrineau (Merch) is from Oz, Lost & an incredible series on now called, From. That is Terrance Howard actually playing the guitar, who I briefly met the same year the movie released, just walking down the street in Philly. And I’m actually related to both Morris Chestnut and Taye Diggs. Anyway, great review! I appreciate pausing as you two are talking as to not kill any lines in the film. I wish more channels did that! You have to review Do The Right thing & Undercover Brother! They are gems for different reasons! Lastly, Jaby, if you see this you HAVE TO review The Way of the Gun! Skip the poles on that and just bless people with it! You know how incredible it is! ✌🏾
I forgot how much I absolutely love this movie. It was one of a string of classic black films from this era! OOOH it was a delicious time!! Mannnnn! You might even say it was The Second Golden Age of Black Cinema! 🤩
Yes, the 80's and 90's had a huge string on Black Cinema, even the early 2000's. But I really love the cinema that came out in the 90's, it displayed the culture at the time in such a way, that made it so relatable and refreshing to see displayed on screen.
You should definitely check out The Wood, Love and Basketball, and Brown Sugar. All the are great movies with familiar faces for y'all at this point, and you'll see more Sanaa, Taye Diggs and others in them. Also Undercover Brother is a must watch!
This kinda black classic streak you guys are on is so refreshing! I think I speak for everyone when I say PLEASE keep going, we’re going to tune in to each & every one! 😂🤭

Gotta run up “The Best Man’s Holiday” now. We here for it ❤
Oh my god. let's go!!!!! this is one of my favorite movies.
Yes, on everything, including the Morris Chestnut being fine asf in this movie 🤌🏾😄...
Yesss, our wee he was my crush
I paused when he first came on-scene in this movie. He is beyond handsome. Just perfect.
That slap Nia gave Harper 50:03 was real and his reaction is very real he was angry lol
I was about to put this. Lol Thank you.
Regina Hall played Candy the stripper she is also Brenda from the Scary Movie franchise great reaction guys the second film Beat Man Holiday is just as good but very emotional
The 5 heartbeats

Love & Basketball is also a must! Gina Prince-Bythewood directed. She also directed Woman King....highly underrated director IMO
Man all of these films are my cinematic childhood flicks
I bet they would enjoy New Jack City! Wesley just takes over every scene he's in.
Sanaa Lathan has incredible range. Love and Basketball and Brown Sugar. Watch those as well
Do the right thing/ School Daze/Love Jones all three are stellar. Also Undercover Brother is a favorite of my family.
They're not going to understand school daze plus it's a musical
These reactions have been great. Some of my favorites are Crooklyn, Lackawanna Blues, The Five Heartbeats, Love and Basketball, Eve's Bayou, and Panther. Can't wait to see what you all do next.
im not the only one who's life changed when Morris Chestnut first appeared on the scene lol 11:41 😂😂😂
I really love your reactions, your chemistry is so dope. I chuckle at all your jokes, it’s really like watching a movie with friends because our humour is so similar.. some of the things you say are stuff I would stay. 😅😅❤❤

Keep it going with the Sanna Lathan movie reactions. The next film should be "Love & Basketball."

Y'all are taking me back. This era in black film... wish it would return. Life. Your reactions spot on... hilarious.
Sanaa also starred on Alien vs Predator. A lot of people forget that one when they think of her.
It's actually one of my favorites. So rare to see a black female lead in a horror movie
They are going to love best man holiday 🙌🏾
I don't think so! I don't think they'll like it!!
Terrance Howard really plays guitar very well
OMG THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES AS A KID😂 Love and Basketball is REALLLY GOOD too
You should definitely check out The Wood, Love and Basketball, and Brown Sugar. All the are great movies with familiar faces for y'all at this point, and you'll see more Sanaa, Taye Diggs and others in them.
Also Undercover Brother is a must watch!
