The people who claim it's cringe are those who only have the context of the meme to go by. They don't know the context, and it's actually pretty cringey to still see people say it's bad.
i know! it got me to laugh so much, in fact Timesplitters 3 was one of my favorite games. me and my brother would play against each other but the only weapon we would use was the flare gun. it was hilarious.
Sláine McCool I think that is just a one of the many satirical cutscenes that are present in the game. Not a real one that you will see during the gameplay.
HicksZ34 It's great on the suspense element. We have that these two "badass operatives" who are still very much employees registered with a company, among other legalistics. It puts you in an adult mindset before going back to what's like a child with his G.I. Joes. It's perfect.
Me too. It's funny, not cringe-worthy at all. Agree about Tali tho.. Holy cringe... Thankfully this will forever evade me, since I never play male Shepard.
The thing is is that the game is self aware of how ridiculous it can be. It establishes it from time to time. Like when they break the fourth wall. Playing the previous Metal Gears also have done that so something as silly as this scene shown in the video isn't too out there for a Kojima game.
DrizzyPuffs Remember Psycho Matis in one of the MGS games? He knew everything on your game console's Memory Card. Only way to defeat him is to unplug your controller and plug it back-in in a certain other controller port. I find his inclusion on a car-something ad was kinda funny.
V. M. Same with the sex scene sections in any David Cage game. While we are on him, the obligatory scenes in his games where a main character fights off an attempted rape, and scenes where the dead eyed uncanny valley models cry. Oh, relatedly, some of the dialogue in Life is Strange and every moment with Warren.
totally funny, it was the first time i saw it, and my god it was very funny, i had just watched a ramdom wrestlemanie event on youtube, so i was like "this is wrestling right?"
Indeed it is supposed to be a joke. The player is supposed to be savvy enough to realize they have the transmitter and remove it themselves through in-game mechanics. The transmitter is not something super-secret or anything. But if you somehow just ignored it then, of course Kojima is there to reward your bad bit of playing with a weird scene. It's kind of how the projectors in MGS2 could be changed until they showed scenes with hot models and the like.
same, i enjoyed it and it fit pretty well with her character. plus it's during a romance scene so she did it because she loved shepard. personally, i consider it quite a sweet scene.

plus the crapload of characters... also... the names tipper. harry tipper! god damn i still remember that game clearly cuz of those awesome moments also the whole game could be done co-op
I played all of them and they are just great. I don't know why the elevator scene was in this list as it was made purposedly to be awkward like that. Again, great game and a funny way to progress the story.
Who cares? It's a game. I've seen male characters wearing less and nobody bats a lash; Metal Gear Solid 2, Saints Row, Kane and Lynch 2, GTA 4 and 5, etc, etc. Sexualization and entertainment go hand in hand, from commercials to games. In a world where people can look up shit like beastiality at the click of a button, people bitching about fictional characters sounds pretty petty.
Madalin Grama I didn't make the fucking game. I was strictly talking about how the game portrays the character. Secondly, the Metal Gear franchise has always had absurd logic, that's just one of the many things that make Metal Gear what it is. The series has always focused more on history/alternate history than actual logical science. In a series that has vampires, ghosts, and people getting infected through language, this is the straw that broke the camel's back? If you haven't played it, don't basically call me a fucking idiot for simply explaining a characteristic of a game character. This shit is not that serious. If you don't believe me, look it up and then go bitch to the creators about it.
The elevator scene was supposed to be awkward :/ it's comedy. Makes you laugh. So, really, it's not even awkward. For the characters; sure. But for the players? It's great!
If you have a gamecube then I would recommend that you check it out. The singleplayer is pretty funny and the multiplayer is great for a quick party game.
I agree with fuzzyclown...I think the time splitters lift scene is pretty ingenious. An out of nowhere change of pace, comedy moment like that is smart. If a game doesn't trip you up or come out of nowhere with some content that doesn't fit into all the other stuff going on, that's a boring game. Good on them.
All of these are hilarious gems, no need to label them as cringe-worthy. "You could've been a Jill sandwich" must be the best thing ive heard this year.
FFX's forced laughter scene was meant to FORCE laughter from the characters. They were trying to have fun knowing full well the situation they were in. Next time you're feeling bummed out and pissed off, Try forcing a laugh to see if it actually makes you laugh. As an old saying goes: Laughter is the best medicine.
Yeah you didn't play the game then. Oh look a conversation about how you should try and keep up appearances and force yourself to be happy even if you're sad. Oh he's forcing himself to laugh while he doesn't want to. Oh it sounds AWKWARD. Shocking...
1:45 Hmm... Nope. Tali's voice is definitely staying within the key of the song. Don't know why the narrator said it was off. Sure, it's not the most well-thought-out scene ever, but it's still pretty well done. 3:48 Those silhouettes in MGS3 are using animations from Rumble Roses, barring the spinning bit where they're holding hands. That was just part of the joke. MGS3 was cross-promoting Rumble Roses at the time as they were both released in 2004. Coincidentally, both Subsistence and Rumble Roses XX were also released in the same year of 2006 with MGS3: Subsistence including Reiko Hinomoto and her alter ego Rowdy Reiko as playable characters in Metal Gear Online. 9:45 I see someone hasn't actually played MGSV... Quiet is introduced in the first few minutes, wearing full tactical gear, gets set on fire TWICE, thrown out a window, and is written off as dead. When she comes back, photosynthesis is used as an EXAMPLE of what man-made parasites within her body and skin are doing, though it's not ACTUALLY photosynthesis, only LIKE it. Add to it that while yes, Quiet is 'shown off' from time to time, when it comes to straight cutscenes with her character development, she's shown as a borderline unstoppable killing machine, as well as someone who just wants to find happiness, peace, and maybe even love if the cards find it in their hearts to allow such a thing. And in the end, she's ready to sacrifice herself to protect others. While not shown, the whole story is right there in the game, and when you actually experience it, it adds so much depth to her character. 12:26 Timesplitters is all about this sort of oddball humor. This is simply how it's written. Albeit, the previous entries took themselves SLIGHTLY more serious, but the same humor is still there. It's not a 'cringe-worthy' moment in TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, IT'S THE JOKE!
In their defense, their early games are pretty solid both on a story and gameplay way but yeah basically anything after ff9 is atrociously bad, especially their horrible spin off games (Dissidia, Theatrhythm, all the bravest, etc). In other words, if you pass on their games you aren't losing anything: there are far better rpgs nowadays.
FF8 is cringy as fk. The dialogue in that games is fking rubbish. 7 is ok despite poor translation and 9 might be the best ps1 FF. Still 9 has its problems
It's the whole point of the scene. Every time the scene gets brought up it's always by people specifically ignoring the context. It's two people in an utter shit situation trying to goof off and gets panned super hard for being 'bad voice acting', even though it's supposed to be uncomfortable and sad.
Yeah exactly, even I know why the laugh is horrible: it's supposed to be forced because of the scenario around them. Fuck I HATE Final Fantasy, but even I knew why that scene was awkward. Just proves that people cherry pick a lot of their scenes. PS: Also, a lot of these scenes aren't really cringy...the elevator scene was pretty hilarious, that MGS3 scene as well, and most of the others were just bad rather than cringy.
Kojima always "sexualizes" the female characters in this series. Eva is the only justifiable character, after all, she does that because of survival. You know what was the worst Kojima delusion? When he showed a supposed underaged girl half naked in the intro of Peace Walker. For NO REASON, Snake had a x-ray vision to look at her panties.
Heard your virtue signalling about Quiet loud and clear, but what part about her being a sniper means she can't wear a bikini? Also, it's Jax, not Jack 11:36. Too many of these lists are made by people with no experience of what they are talking about.
very mad guy You're REALLY talking about practicality in Metal Gear? Where charas can pull off entire arsenals from nowhere and nanomachines do miracles?
I love Quiet, but yeah, a bit too skimpy. As soon as I was able to develop some clothing options for her, I went for it straight away. Not to cover her up out of shame, but I didn't want to have to feel like I use her for every mission because she's eye candy, but she's a kickass companion, and needed to look like a soldier. At least in my mind.
On a sidenote about Mega Man X4, Lucas Gilbertson, Zero's voice actor from Mega Man X Command Mission, Mega Man X8 and Mega Man Maverick Hunter X, redubbed [professionally] the scene with a friend of his for Iris... and it sounds a LOT better. There's also a video where Johnny Yong Bosch, Zero's voice actor from Marvel vs Capcom 3, was requested to voice that scene... except that he had his guitar, so he sang the script given to him XD
Plasma Bat Mega Man X4: The Death of Iris - Redub by Lucas Gilbertson (Original) I typed "mega man x4 iris scene redub" and it's the first video that came out, which is the one you're looking for ;)
The MGS: 3 one had me grinning from ear to ear the first time I saw that easter egg. The part where you see Snake and EVA's shadows holding hands while playing ring around the rosey is especially absurd and hilarious. I don't find it cringey at all. Then MGS: V which I haven't played, but you guys say it's cringey for women to be sexualized in games... okay Anita Sarkesian clones. Good to know where you guys stand on the issue from your obvious attempt at virtue signaling. Well actually her character exposing skin would make sense then wouldn't it. You see in MGS: 3 there was a sniper who had the same ability to absorb sunlight to restore endurance, however the guy wore a full ghille suit minus the head part. It wouldn't make much sense for him to wear that since the clothing would cover his skin allowing for less sunlight. The concept wasn't some bullshit they pulled out of their ass to allow for a semi-nude female character. It had already been an established concept in the series. Hideo Kojima doesn't need some half baked excuse to show half naked women. If he want to show skin he'll show skin, fuck knows he's already done it several times for nude male characters. I think maybe part of the problem is you don't understand other cultures because you're intolerant bigots. Part of Japanese culture is their humor and part of their humor is absurdity. Have you watched any of their tv commercials and seen how bizarre some of the advertising is for simple things like food? Do you even know what a futanari is? All I'm saying is you shouldn't be so quick to label and brand everything as Misogynistic or Sexist, because you might not always know what you're talking about.
There's different types of sexualization man, really. I'm hate people who plays the victim, but talking about kojima? He is a sick bastard, it's hard to defend the guy. I mean... Fuck Eva or Quiet, this is fair game compared with Paz. In the Peace Walker intro, Kojima present us a supposed underaged girl, the typical lolita bullshit, and for no reason at all Snake had a x-ray vision to look at her panties. I mean... This is fucking child abuse man, doesn't matter if only in the end the game reveals that Paz was not a underaged girl. And their "date" in Phatom Pain? Jesus christ... I don't know if its true or not, but Japan accept relationship consensus at the age of 13. Thirteen fucking years old, they publicly assume relationships with 13 years old girls for fucks sake
Rename no.5 Personally, naked women don't make me cringe. I haven't played MGS 5 but the reason Snake and Eva took their clothes off was because they were soaking wet, and they needed them to dry beside the fire.
I bet none of those will be cringe. People are using this word yet they never understand the meaning of it. *after watching a video* Yep...funny yes, silly yes....nope, not a single cringe here detected.
To be honest the timesplitters one shouldn't be here because it was used for comedic effect as you have an adrenaline junkie character getting bored and this creates a huge change in the pace of the scene.
was going to say the same as many ppl probably. The one with Timesplitters isn't cringeworthy at all. It's a well crafted (kinda cliche) dialogue and joke
i remember finding out about it on a tv show, loved the graphics back then. Tried it once and was sorta disappointed, but read that ppl loved it, so i guess it just wasn't for me at that time.
Actually, you're a bit wrong about Quiet. The photosynthesis, while applicable, only applies to the parasites that live in her skin. The true reason she wears so little clothing is that, since you molotoved her at the beginning of the game and subsequently burned her lungs to the point of no longer functioning, she needed the skin parasites to breathe for her. So she literally breathes through her skin, as evidenced by when she turns blue during the almost-rape scene while she wears the full-body suit. That's just the game's reason, though, the real reason she's naked is because Kojima both IS and CATERS TO 14 year old boys, and what do 14 year old boys like? Guns, mechs, explosions, and scantily clothed women. If you can get past that, though, Quiet's super great and a really well written character.
Everyone's had that dream where they're out in public naked. That's a universal dream symbol for being stuck in a really awkward situation and being ashamed, which is how you feel a lot when you go through puberty (and nobody wanted to be Raiden in that game, anyway). And 14 year old boys think nudity is funny, especially butt and dick jokes.
John Waggoner Yeah I tell you what, nothing more a 14 year old boy enjoys more than playing an androgynous insecure version of Snake while prancing around naked. I think you're giving Kojima less credit than he deserves. MGS has great gameplay and story my dude. If Kojimma just wanted to make a game that would appeal to 14 year old boys then his games would have been Ride to Hell: Road to redemption, or COD 35: now with more maps and more guns. Plus as a special bonus if you pre-order you'll be able to have all your guns gold plated and you're character will get a pimp hat.
While I stand by what I said, I don't mean to sound like I don't like Kojima or MGS. While Kojima does make a lot of design decisions that cater to the likes of teenage boys, that doesn't mean that his games are all shallow wish-fulfillment. Some is, but not all. Kojima's writing can be long winded and extremely convoluted (as someone who started MGS with number 4, I was in a hell of name drops and references I didn't understand at all), but it's those traits that make you care about the characters. Character personality comes not from the things they need to do for plot, but from what they DON'T need to do; steps they don't need to take to accomplish something, things they don't need to say, problems the cause for themselves and others, it all makes them real. And Kojima's writing is full of that. And at the end of the day, past the explosions and boobs, that's what teenage boys really want. To escape into a new world that they feel is real and "make friends" with the characters they find there. If I thought MGS and Kojima were just into shallow entertainment, then I wouldn't have said that Quiet was a well written character, because she doesn't need to have a personality or do anything to be a nonverbal pair of tits that snipes things. But she DOES have a personality, and I love it.
I enjoyed all of these and laughed at them, except the stupid KH2 Little mermaid music one. I played through that section with the tv muted. It's weird, Kingdom Hearts music is usually so good, what happened with that level?
Jesus, Kojima just lifted that entire awkward MGS3 scene from Austin Powers 2: The Spy Who Shagged Me's tent/flashlight scene. What a "creative genius".
If you think that Tali's singing is "cringe-worthy" then you clearly didn't pay attention to the romance at all. It's about seeing Tali past the suit and loving her for who she is. And as for your complaint about Quiet, put her in the Sniper Wolf or XOF outfit and quit bitching. If you don't like her, don't use her or don't bring her back to base.
That scene is from the Citadel DLC to Mass Effect 3, it's not a part of the main game. But even if you do play the Citadel DLC, the scene is still entirely skippable.
My dad walked in the room when I was playing through "Swim this Way." He just stood there for a few seconds and left without saying a word.
Evan Egerer same xD
Son, I am disappoint.
Son, why you is of do this?
"So....you get dental?" I busted up laughing at the timesplitters one 😂
Aaron Perry It wasn't really cringy, just hilarious
I thought so too.
was meant t be cringey
CryVengeance non of these aren't cringe it's more of a funny thing
The only thing cringey is people not knowing the difference between "cringe" and "comedy".
That's a pathetic statement... first off comedy is subjective... some can't handle true cringe
danthehappyman78 Why call him pathetic though bro. Just say comedy is subjective. Dont need to get all triggered in the youtube comments section
danthehappyman78 you just proved that your statement is invalid
For real the mgs scene was hilarious
Why do people still do not realise Tidus' laugh was forced and intentional.
The people who claim it's cringe are those who only have the context of the meme to go by. They don't know the context, and it's actually pretty cringey to still see people say it's bad.
or maybe it just made me cringe
xXshelldogXx everytime he and wakka opened their mouths it was gringeworthy
it was also the first fucking final fantasy to include voice acting and the translation from Japanese to English is not really ever that great
Chef_ Boi If it made you cringe, you missed the whole point of said scene
the elevator scene is hillarious imo ...
I like the elevator scene. Its intentional unlike many others.
I was about to make the same comment. Glad someone made it before I did!
Noble Alfred I do too
kinda reality too. lols
Same . :)
i know! it got me to laugh so much, in fact Timesplitters 3 was one of my favorite games. me and my brother would play against each other but the only weapon we would use was the flare gun. it was hilarious.
i loved talis singing, i found it to be so adorable
Only problem is she's hard to understand
talis singing was actually a really good thing
i never knew it was in the game until now, sounds like they made it too echoey is all.
It was a nightmare
I was a big tali fan in mass effect, but that song was awfull
That snake eater bit was more funny than cringey
Sláine McCool I think that is just a one of the many satirical cutscenes that are present in the game. Not a real one that you will see during the gameplay.
I think the elevator scene is hilarious
Broccoli Obama Ikr
12:51 If you think this moment is cringe, you are simply infantile.
I agree, I thought it was pretty funny... Especially for it's time
ɥsǝlʌ It's totally like those old sweaty 90s comedies, not to imply newer ones aren't good. Guess the uploader was uptight somewhat, lol.
Nirvana Paradox Exactly. I really enjoyed that scene in the game and I always will
HicksZ34 It's great on the suspense element. We have that these two "badass operatives" who are still very much employees registered with a company, among other legalistics. It puts you in an adult mindset before going back to what's like a child with his G.I. Joes. It's perfect.
I agree. That should not be on the list at all.
I actually quite enjoyed her singing it isn't that bad
Ani Melodies its actually beautiful to me
Ani Melodies I never got to see it and I beat the game 4 times
Ani Melodies it wasn't bad. but I still sucked
It's in the DLC
Ani Melodies me to I like the singing to
That Metal Gear's scene was actually awesome
Me too. It's funny, not cringe-worthy at all.
Agree about Tali tho.. Holy cringe... Thankfully this will forever evade me, since I never play male Shepard.
Yeah the acion was aight but that wasnt really the point.
The thing is is that the game is self aware of how ridiculous it can be. It establishes it from time to time. Like when they break the fourth wall. Playing the previous Metal Gears also have done that so something as silly as this scene shown in the video isn't too out there for a Kojima game.
inoffensive coddler I love how idiots invented the word prude for their own use, thus eliminating need for arguments.
DrizzyPuffs Remember Psycho Matis in one of the MGS games? He knew everything on your game console's Memory Card. Only way to defeat him is to unplug your controller and plug it back-in in a certain other controller port. I find his inclusion on a car-something ad was kinda funny.
I hope people know the actual definition of cringe
Bends ones head in fear or it can mean feeling Inbarrased about something....
Kelvin Martinez embarrassed*
means something that makes your skin crawl not annoy or scare you
although mk4 was cringey probably the worst mk
Nah, mk 4 was far from worst. The worst was Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero, vs DC universe and Special Forces so far.
Some of them are not even cringy, just funny AF
emiN roblack Ikr
yeah, especially the elevator scene
Tali's metallic voice actually sounded really nice
It added its own charm
the sex scenes in dragon age origins are incredibly awkward and weird with the character's dead looking eyes and weird bodies.
I loved Life is Strange.
Aaron Perry So did I.
The MGS3 scene is funny not cringey
totally funny, it was the first time i saw it, and my god it was very funny, i had just watched a ramdom wrestlemanie event on youtube, so i was like "this is wrestling right?"
I agree.

It's kind of how the projectors in MGS2 could be changed until they showed scenes with hot models and the like.
How about the ending to Devil May Cry 1, when Dante holds Trish. The voice acting makes me cringe...
"I should have been the one to fill your dark soul with LIGHT light light light" That one? =p
01Georgeous yeah, exactly
it may be one of my favourite things from gaming ever
01Georgeous Lol
You can't forget the voice crack in the middle of saying light.
I didnt cringe at all when tali started singing.
AvoH same
ayee lmao It didnt sound that bad for me.
same, i enjoyed it and it fit pretty well with her character. plus it's during a romance scene so she did it because she loved shepard. personally, i consider it quite a sweet scene.
You people need to educate yourselves on the definition of "cringe"
12171010011010 cringe is subjective
Epicgamedude the definition of cringe is not subjective, what makes you cringe IS subjective. Learn the difference.
Cringe IS subjective, but when the majority of people make a meme out of something and worship it ('Your base are belong to us' as an example) and find it hilarious, then it is no longer cringe, and reporting it as cringe is a big fail. Please learn Epic game dude. your name implies you would know this already...
12171010011010 rip braincells XD
Indeed...
I never played timesplitters, but i kinda like this scene
It's hilarious and an awesome fast-paced FPS, especially multiplayer. If they ever bring it back, or if you get your hands on a PS2, I highly recommend playing it.
Some Guy I always thought it was "timesplinters" lol
plus the crapload of characters... also... the names tipper. harry tipper! god damn i still remember that game clearly cuz of those awesome moments also the whole game could be done co-op
Nothing wrong with the scene. Looks to me that it was clearly intended to be an awkward moment between the characters.
I played all of them and they are just great. I don't know why the elevator scene was in this list as it was made purposedly to be awkward like that.
Again, great game and a funny way to progress the story.
Why don't people know the definition of cringe anymore?
comedy is subjective... cringe is horrid
true that rozza.....
danthehappyman78 Both can be subjective, and both can be horrid.
That was my idea! Grr..
It doesn't really matter. Cringe is now internet slang for second hand embarrassment or a feeling I can't exactly explain in words
Not really cringe. Just goofy...
GuyThatCommentsVids Just like your sexy profile pic
@@whilstyouarereadingthisist981 *bruh.mp3 sound effect*
That scene in Final Fantasy was intended to be awkward.
It's "All your base ARE belong to us". It's even there in the video and you still manage to somehow fuck it up.
I don't care what you say, I like Tali's singing.
Its like The 5th Element.
T6_GAMING I blame the helmet
Epic Panda It probably is
I don't.
I also liked it
where's the entire fnaf franchise?
agreed, seriously pal?
Xenomorph FNAF's not gory bro. The only gore is eyeballs popping out, but that's it.
Chef Steven Armstrong oh you got a point there
I meant the game was cringey not the gore in it, the whole game is a weak ass comedy movie.
Xenomorph that's your view on it
Quiet uses photosynthesis to breathe, not eat. It also makes sense as a sniper that she'd wear as little as possible, since she can go invisible.
Who cares? It's a game. I've seen male characters wearing less and nobody bats a lash; Metal Gear Solid 2, Saints Row, Kane and Lynch 2, GTA 4 and 5, etc, etc. Sexualization and entertainment go hand in hand, from commercials to games. +oxyKILLdone actually bitching to konami now is probably the best idea i can think of
why you mad tho
Madalin Grama out of all the things that are ridiculous in MGS you choose Quiet's clothing (which fyi can be changed to something different.)
The Time Splitters elevator scene is hilarious! It's intentionally awkward and the voice actors and animators carried it off beautifully.
You forgot to mention the best part of the Jax ending...
Jerek: I'M SO GAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY!
Brandon Palan Lol classic
I loved the elevator scene lol. And also, i find most death scenes cringe worthy, even more if they scream "noooo" at the end.
Yu Narukami NUUUUUUU
(pls don't kill me)
:'(
"I was the one supposed to fill your dark soul with light!!!!"
Such a lust for revenge ?
WHOOOOOOO!?
the timesplitters one is just really good writing imo
Tali's singing gave me ear cancer
LOL
it makes me laugh how easy it is to make ppl cringe.lol
Ongomar I liked it
Ongomar I'd forgotten all about it... then I watched this video.
Yeah it's fucking horrible. Then again that whole character is shallow nerd jerk off material. All her pathetic fans are cringe inducing.
The elevator scene was supposed to be awkward :/ it's comedy. Makes you laugh. So, really, it's not even awkward. For the characters; sure. But for the players? It's great!
Well i believe Tali's singing is very beautiful
agreed
ayee lmao
i am not kidding
I'm really angry x98372 It really didn't.
LMAO good one dude
"All your base are belong to us" is a cheat code for instant victory, I don't remember if it's warcraft III or Starcraft Brood War
Warcraft, but that is reference to the meme from the game mentioned here
xxxxneoxxxx but for some reason, Someone Set us up the Bomb is a cheat for the sole reason of insta-losing a match
In which game?
The same
i like how jax came out of no where like a savage talking nonsense and throw the guy down
Shepard is like: "Oh fuck... should I stop her?"
She was singing fine and in key the robotic effect of her voice through the mask makes it weird and the awkward looking character faces
it was kinda corny but yeah, it's not like the singing was terrible.
Zero proper modulation of pitch and terrible volume control. Even without the effect it's awful.
this is cringe? lol y'all be to sensitive these days
D40Oz1 Exactly
D40Oz1 ikr especially the elevator one, that was clearly a joke
I agree with kpazz
kpazz123 triggerd
D40Oz1 Am I wrong?
The time splitters one was done well and funny in my opinion.
Agreed. Although I may be nostalgic about it.
Ugunti Itnugu No, it just shouldn't have been on the list. I've never played the game and felt the same way.
If you have a gamecube then I would recommend that you check it out. The singleplayer is pretty funny and the multiplayer is great for a quick party game.
Man that Timesplitter part was great, reminded me of Archer
I thought it was hilarious!
I know right... Nothing cringy about it. Graspin' straws, man.
Even though it wasn't Grammy worthy, Tail's song was still sweet and it was appropriate for the scene. And Tali is still best wifu from mass effect.
also the star ocean scene makes perfect sense and is very cute if you played the game and timespliters elevator was fucking halirous
That time splitters line was funny asf. idk if yall didn't laugh at that... that was like c-list movie acting... but awkwardly funny
"YEAH!" 😃
😂😂😂😂😂😂
what!? the dinner dance and the elevator one were adorable and hilarious! "you get dental?" lmao XD XD
Tali singing sounded nice... also the Tidus laugh scene is only awkward and Cringy OUTSIDE of context
Yeah like what hell was that???
Somehow, that scene made me laugh. But the scene was really awkward and cringe worthy.
Fang Greyfur tali singing was enjoyable and nice, she has a great voice :)
they put the ozzy rotary effect on her voice
I agree with fuzzyclown...I think the time splitters lift scene is pretty ingenious. An out of nowhere change of pace, comedy moment like that is smart. If a game doesn't trip you up or come out of nowhere with some content that doesn't fit into all the other stuff going on, that's a boring game. Good on them.
I haven't even played the game and I thought that was actually pretty great too!
The time splitters one is good comedy, not cringe. It makes fun of the action genre and the characters that come along with it very well.
All of these are hilarious gems, no need to label them as cringe-worthy.
"You could've been a Jill sandwich" must be the best thing ive heard this year.
I love the laughing scene with Tidus and Yuna! It's cute and hilarious!
You're so right about Final Fantasy 10! I just sat there like "....Ummmmm..What the fuck?.."
Still do too
which means you obviously didn't play the game.
Shocking...
TheMysticmusti It was SUPPOSED to be awkward. That was the point of the scene.
dragnridr05 Yes that's the point.
The MGS3 one was awesome hahaha
KazeRV Reminds of the shadow gags in the Austin Powers movies.
Yeeeah...it was pretty obviously intentional and hilarious. Definitely not fitting here.
That slow mo laugh gave me a heart attack
1:45
Hmm... Nope. Tali's voice is definitely staying within the key of the song. Don't know why the narrator said it was off. Sure, it's not the most well-thought-out scene ever, but it's still pretty well done.
3:48
Those silhouettes in MGS3 are using animations from Rumble Roses, barring the spinning bit where they're holding hands.

I see someone hasn't actually played MGSV...

Timesplitters is all about this sort of oddball humor. This is simply how it's written. Albeit, the previous entries took themselves SLIGHTLY more serious, but the same humor is still there. It's not a 'cringe-worthy' moment in TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, IT'S THE JOKE!
Everything about the Final Fantasy games is cringeworthy if you ask me lol
Arlene Sanders same
In their defense, their early games are pretty solid both on a story and gameplay way but yeah basically anything after ff9 is atrociously bad, especially their horrible spin off games (Dissidia, Theatrhythm, all the bravest, etc).
In other words, if you pass on their games you aren't losing anything: there are far better rpgs nowadays.
Arlene Sanders lol
FF8 is cringy as fk. The dialogue in that games is fking rubbish. 7 is ok despite poor translation and 9 might be the best ps1 FF. Still 9 has its problems
janusan89 Dissidia and Theatrhythm are both pretty good. Dissidia might be a bit repetetive, but I have 100 solid hours of Theatrhythm Curtain Call.
Wasn't Tidus forcing his laugh, though?
werewolf15orlando Yeah, of course. No normal person laughs like that lol
AHAHAHAHA
I'm one of those guys you can easily replace the word cringe, with funny.
if you call this actually cringe, you have no sense of humor
The time splitters one is intentional and actually really funny XD
the snake eater scene wasn't really cringe worthy, it was kinda just that stupid-funny style
Jamie Rothwell Ikr
Kojima always "sexualizes" the female characters in this series. Eva is the only justifiable character, after all, she does that because of survival. You know what was the worst Kojima delusion? When he showed a supposed underaged girl half naked in the intro of Peace Walker. For NO REASON, Snake had a x-ray vision to look at her panties.
Rafael Teles He's Hideo Kojima. He can do whatever the fuck he wants.
THANK YOU for calling out Quiet. That stupid ass rain scene made me cringe so hard that I quit the game and haven't picked it up in months.
Correction: There are THREE Zelda CDI games.
Please be lying.
Yeah he is telling the truth. It is another one where you play as Zelda, and has Full motion video cutscenes with some old man grumbling.
Anthony Saunders God save us all.
Yep. You can barely understand a thing he's saying and it's arguably worse than the animated scenes...
I think the Timesplitters one was hilarious
That timesplitter one was far from cringe... it was actually pretty damn funny xD
>i will kick the door down
>open the door
laughed soo hard
Theres a difference between something being done bad, and cringe.
I kinda like the "chit chat/banter" in elevator type scenes. Makes a roided/supah special hero seem normal.
Heard your virtue signalling about Quiet loud and clear, but what part about her being a sniper means she can't wear a bikini? Also, it's Jax, not Jack 11:36. Too many of these lists are made by people with no experience of what they are talking about.
wearing so little could be considered impractical. you want at least some clothing that can protect you against the weather and landscape
Unless you're fucking superhuman that can leap from mountain to mountain.
very mad guy You're REALLY talking about practicality in Metal Gear? Where charas can pull off entire arsenals from nowhere and nanomachines do miracles?
MissingNO 000 Exactly
I love Quiet, but yeah, a bit too skimpy. As soon as I was able to develop some clothing options for her, I went for it straight away. Not to cover her up out of shame, but I didn't want to have to feel like I use her for every mission because she's eye candy, but she's a kickass companion, and needed to look like a soldier. At least in my mind.
the timesplitters one was actually pretty funny.. sorry.. lol
"...I should've been the one to fill your dark soul with LAIGHT!" (LAIGHT...LAIGHT...laight...)
12:19 Jax - "Wrong Jarek. This isn't a 'brutality'. It's a 'Fatality'!" [Let's go]
Jarek - "I'm so gaaaaay!"
I think the robot singing is pretty cool
On a sidenote about Mega Man X4, Lucas Gilbertson, Zero's voice actor from Mega Man X Command Mission, Mega Man X8 and Mega Man Maverick Hunter X, redubbed [professionally] the scene with a friend of his for Iris... and it sounds a LOT better.
There's also a video where Johnny Yong Bosch, Zero's voice actor from Marvel vs Capcom 3, was requested to voice that scene... except that he had his guitar, so he sang the script given to him XD
What am I fighting fooooooor!
link?
Plasma Bat Mega Man X4: The Death of Iris - Redub by Lucas Gilbertson (Original)
I typed "mega man x4 iris scene redub" and it's the first video that came out, which is the one you're looking for ;)
congrautlations, you've failed to understand the laughing scene.
Slixer cry more
Lmao That mortal kombat scene with Jax was funny af!
the timesplitters one is bloody brilliant. I laughed so much the 1st time I saw that.
The entire Gears of War 4 campaign is so cringeworthy.
Ezekiel Tjie nice try
Ezekiel Tjie I would have agreed before it came out. But now - no. Stupid but not cringe.
It's like a terrible fanfiction
88SLLS Japan scares me with their absurdity sometimes, no wait all the time.
88SLLS *watches anime* "the Japanese are so weird." *binge watches Adventure Time for two and a half hours*
Rename no.5
Personally, naked women don't make me cringe. I haven't played MGS 5 but the reason Snake and Eva took their clothes off was because they were soaking wet, and they needed them to dry beside the fire.
I bet none of those will be cringe. People are using this word yet they never understand the meaning of it.
*after watching a video*
Yep...funny yes, silly yes....nope, not a single cringe here detected.
Cringe is being embarrassed for someone else. A lot of these made me embarrassed for the developers of the game.
Bartosz Skorupa, And you'll tell me a woman kissing a cartoon hedgehog on the lips isn't cringe.
Bartosz Skorupa the singing was pretty bad you have to admit
bait?
I FUCKING LOVED TIME SPLITTERS! I literally busted out laughing when he said "Time to split!"
Also, the title of the Timeslipper game is Timeslipper: Future Pefect. My favorite FPS growing up
Whatever, that snake eater scene was fucking hilarious and it was intentionally goofy.
and Quiet is badass and needs her skin to breathe, due to being burned alive at the beginning and getting skin parasites to survive
time splitters as well
To be honest the timesplitters one shouldn't be here because it was used for comedic effect as you have an adrenaline junkie character getting bored and this creates a huge change in the pace of the scene.
CelerenSouthpaw fanboy alert 🚨
was going to say the same as many ppl probably. The one with Timesplitters isn't cringeworthy at all. It's a well crafted (kinda cliche) dialogue and joke
i remember finding out about it on a tv show, loved the graphics back then. Tried it once and was sorta disappointed, but read that ppl loved it, so i guess it just wasn't for me at that time.
happens in real life with a girl all the time, bur not always with elevator :D
that lift scene was hilarious! you guys are crazy
I didn't find the metal gear solid scene to be cringy. You just don't understand Kojima's humor if you do
Actually, you're a bit wrong about Quiet.
John Waggoner
Yeah I tell you what, nothing more a 14 year old boy enjoys more than playing an androgynous insecure version of Snake while prancing around naked.
John Waggoner what straight man/gay woman doesn't like scantily clad women?
+88SLLS
I know I did.
It does feel very strange that you put time splitters 3 on here since the scene is designed to be cringe.
I enjoyed all of these and laughed at them, except the stupid KH2 Little mermaid music one. I played through that section with the tv muted. It's weird, Kingdom Hearts music is usually so good, what happened with that level?
I LOL'd at the RE1 part... "Stand away from the door Jill, I'm gunna kick this door down!" WAABSHHHHH 7:32
If you don't like her, don't use her or don't bring her back to base.
good old TimeSplitters! i miss playing that game.
What is it with Bioware and awkward singing, it happens in Dragon Age Origins and Inquisition too.
Endearing qualities and woman with their guards down who you may be in love with.....Bioware knows how to make ya fall for a character.
Koichi Hirose Well they fail pretty hard at it.
I actually found that lift scene quite endearing. The animation on the characters was so good it's easy to tell that it was intentionally cringeworthy
I thought the elevator scene wasn't cringe worthy, but was actually quite funny
" *WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRAH* "
Tidus' laugh was intended to sound like that.
I was thinking of getting the Mass Effect trilogy since people say its a must play.
After seeing that bit I will gladly pass.
thanks for letting us know, its a good thing you're a minority or else the mass effect franchise wouldn't have gotten so MASSive hehehe
That scene is from the Citadel DLC to Mass Effect 3, it's not a part of the main game. But even if you do play the Citadel DLC, the scene is still entirely skippable.
Avoid the franchise; it's a waste of time.
TheAlmightyJ Your future is waste of time
TheAlmightyJ you kinda did the exact same thing too jackass lol
Eva removing the transmitter always gets me for some reason lmao
Hearing Tali sing is like hearing that nerdy girl with a lisp confess her love to you.
