Thanks very much 🙏 The food burn is the major issue with my instant pot duo evo plus. I always do chicken biriyani using your recipe. But the third stage shows food burn after putting rice. Also I have noticed if more quantity of raw vegetables or meat when used with less liquid then the food burn is shown for sure in pressure cook mode.
🙏 Thas My first BURN ERROR was on a Christmas Eve cooking some veg, scared me! So now I change my sauté stainless pot to my ceramic pot and cook from there. Works Colin
I dread the burn in my IP lol. Glad ceramic pot is working for you. I find even in the ceramic pot if the pot turns brown while sautéing & pressure cooked IP gives out the burn error.
I have a taco soup recipe with crushed tomatoes and each time I try to cook it in the instapot using the chili mode, it burns everytime. There is plenty of liquid in the pot. Do you have any suggestions for better results?
I find if we pressure cook dishes with thick tomato base, the tomatoes tend to thicken & will stick to the bottom, this results in burn error. I would suggest: pressure cook all other ingredients without adding the crushed tomatoes & after pressure cooking add the crushed tomatoes & cook in saute mode till the soup has thickened. Hope this works :)
My Ultra IP is very prone to a burn notice. I have to use Barkeeper’s Friend with every wash to stop it. I used my daughter’s ’lower series’ IP and NEVER got a burn notice. I’ve used my pot for 4 years. I’m very familiar with its use. Could our hard water be the reason Barkeeper’s Friend must be used?
Interesting, shouldn’t happen if there is enough liquid in the pot. If the food is stuck at the bottom of the inner pot IP will give burn error. This happens when we add thick sauces like tomato sauce or when we first saute the ingredients & then pressure cook- the pot can turn brown & hence the burn error. Or maybe your IP is overheating, that could be a reason too.
Thanks very much 🙏

@@thasneenthanks. Usually I can’t find anything on the sides or bottom anywhere. Maybe mine is over sensitive!
Your video should be called how to avoid burn, not guaranteed. Thumbs down!
