I don’t think he’d do it because he says he can’t play the song and do vocals live. One of my favs but I can understand why he wouldn’t be comfortable putting out a re-recorded version.
Pretty sure Josh himself said something along the lines of “the reason there’s a noticeable difference between the EOTE and COAA riffs and such is he(Josh) would have a difficult time doing vocals over those riffs” and I understand that. That’s why they don’t really play anything off those older albums live anymore.
Did I nail this tone? Huge thanks to my Patreon community. Obviously due to copyright I can't monetise these types of videos so appreciate the support. Stems/midi for these also available for download on the Patreon www.patreon.com/JoshSylosisOfficial
You're a founder member of Sylosis right? Why can't you monetize your own work? And this album as a whole is my favourite. It's what got me into Sylosis... And that time hardly anyone listened to your band.🥰❤️♥️
The BEST album from them in MY opinion. The balance between cleans on harsh vocals of this album was perfect. The guitar melodies were perfect, the solos were impeccable. A brilliant album front to back.
The thing about lighter string gauges always resonated with me. I've always a big advocate of lighter sets, when we supported you guys in Sheffield in 2008/2009 area I was running 11-56 in drop A and you guys we're still heavier than everyone that night in E standard lol
I absolutely love the new stuff, but fuck you need to bring these epic early songs live josh, this work has now got to be showcased, so much good work in the early albums, now's the time, it will be a second time seeing you guys this year come November in Leeds, this has been a long time coming
🔥🔥🔥What a throwback thursday !!! all time favourite album. Sounds exactly like on album, The Blackest Skyline or After Lifeless Years would be absolute pleasure to hear in playthrough 🤘
You're absolutely right, with this guitar tone. Never wanna notch out those high end frequencies completely. Cleaning it up with EQ in the final mix is best. Because that's probably my favourite thing about the tone is that it's absolutely chunky you're right but the rhythm guitars just soar in the mix and it's so tight and articulate and when you palm mute or do really fast rhythms like in Teras for example it sounds wicked and it doesn't sound brittle and when chords are ringing out or playing melodies can hear it all so clearly. The guitars don't take over in the mix too and it's thumpy without being harsh and fizzy either. What a tone.
Seem to remember on your old videos you using 11-49 so I started using that on my M-II and it felt really good for rhythm. Maybe a little thick for 25.5 scale but it works great for picking.
Interesting. I always thought the low end for the guitar on conclusion was rather special. To my ears the fluence modern doesn't have the same low end presence as the emg 81.
Your game is truly incredible.😮🤘I was supposed to come see you in concert in Toulouse, France last year but the concert had to be canceled.😢I really hope to see you very soon in France.🙏
Absolutely love this record..been a fan since it came out..I've noticed you most definitely enjoy using your tonality as I do also..have you noticed your gear collecting a little more dust since having your own plugin?
Another good lesson to improve production skills. Among all Sylosis albums, I like Dormant Heart the most. Would you consider doing a tone recreation video for that album? I love how beefy that guitar tone is with lots of low end.
After hearing this song thousands of times over the years, listening to this version feels uncanny, but somehow it feels cool. Would you consider doing this kind of style for the entire album for fun maybe?
Couple years ago now, I bought a similar guitar from LTD. It came with Elixir strings and a little piece of tin string tree. Man was it dull sounding, yet had sitar buzzing on the B and E strings. Its the TE1000 Black Blast. Just putting on fresh EB Slinkys 10-46, and a Graphtech string tree. Completely changed the way the guitar played and sounded. I did upgrade the tone capacitor with an orange drop and added a treble bleed curcuit. But otherwise just gave it a killer set up. With the swamp ash body, string through hipshot bridge, roasted maple neck and fretboard, stainless frets and locking tuners. Frick'n thing barks like an attack dog on kill. I have to play it way differently, to keep the nasty overtones from biting me. Its no chorus strumming guitar, thats for sure. Its made for peeling flesh off faces.
Just force someone to put the EPs on Spotify and then play a live show in Michigan while I'm "young enough' to get in the pit. I'll bring my kids, we'll all throw down and I can die a happy man. Hands down, Sylosis is my favorite band. You narrowly beat out PanterA.
No one cares if Casting Shadows and Supreme Oppressor were EPs, the fact that those songs never made it onto a full length release is a fucking travesty.
please record the rest of the song and release it , with your vocals it sounds so good!
I agree

@@sayanmandal2246released through a label, so the label has the rights, sucks but true
Isn't the copyright time something like 20 years? So you'd be able to get full rights to Conclusion in 4 years or so?
@@treyherring5726 2027 is not in 4 years stop it please T_T
Waiting for the re-release 20 anniversary of the album Conclusion of an age in 2028 with your vocals Josh 🥹
Legitimately one of my favourite songs ever, hearing this with your vocals was not on my list of what I expected today to be about.
Damn took me a second to realise that it's actually your vocals on top of the track. And I'm absolutely digging it.

Fuck me!! Josh your vocals sound amazing!! You need to re record that album 😊
Took me a second to realise it was you on vocals. Re-record this album with your vocals, yesterday.
I absolutely love the new stuff, but fuck you need to bring these epic early songs live josh, this work has now got to be showcased, so much good work in the early albums, now's the time, it will be a second time seeing you guys this year come November in Leeds, this has been a long time coming
Love the “in an English country garden” lick
Can we expect a re-recorded COAA? God damn this sounds INSANE
I will always love this album. I agree you need to release it with your vocals! Your vocals have gotten so good
This album with your vocals would be amazing to hear!
That was really good! Vocals and tone sound very much like the original album 👏
pretty sure this was this was the first sylosis tune i'd ever heard .., was instantly hooked!!
Same here
Holy shit, the new vocals sound kick ass! Release it as a full single.
Conclusion of an Age - Gold Album
Man id throw a $150 bucks at you for a special release of COAA Re recorded with your vocals. One of my favorite records ever made even better.
Your vocals sound phenomenal. You nailed the chorus cleans dude!
I think you nailed the tone as close as possible it sounds great. Next please recreate machine heads tone from the blackening 🙏🏻
That intro was amazing. Obviously the guitar playing was sick but the vocals sounded incredible!
Definitely, this is THE BEST trash guitars tone I ever heard! Bravo Sir!
All of Conclusion of An Age is beyond spectacular Josh. You created something that will continue to transcend time and inspire.
that cracked me up bad xD 14:39

Fucking hell. Always wanted to hear that song with your vocals, that vid was a dream came true
finally the content we waited so long for
0:47 that downpicking is mad
Sounds fantastic!

love this album
These videos are awesome. Love seeing and hearing the behind the scenes
This needs a proper release! Original is an absolute classic, but proper love this version! Nailed itttt Josh

Really like that album as well.

And most importantly, don't forget to wear a death shirt 🔥
Wow this sounds unreal! Remaster josh?
COOL Josh 👍😁🇧🇷
BADASS!
The low end for the guitars is mint. It’s low but not flubby per se. It matches very well for the record.
That album was huge for me, I idolized this tone and playing.
Can you please cover the bass mixing for this session? It sounds killer!
This album got me through a lot of personal shit. You should put this song in the live set. Be intreresting hearing you sing it live
EPICNESS
EPICNESSNESS
Man, that 2k ish resonant whistle when searching for frequencies to notch lives in my head lol.
Yesssssss thank you
I know you cant monetize it but could you do the full song on youtube here for us? I woukd love to listen the you do the full version !

HELL YEAH
Please reupload old solo recording video of this album
Josh when will you bring sylosis to Bali or Indonesia? I am begging
Josh, why you never talking about Casting Shadows? Tell us what lied behind that EP and how old you were during that time!
I remember reading that he tracked all the guitars himself in 2 hours in his bedroom 🤟🏻
Just force someone to put the EPs on Spotify and then play a live show in Michigan while I'm "young enough' to get in the pit. I'll bring my kids, we'll all throw down and I can die a happy man.

Maybe someday recreation of Symbolic - Death tone 🤗?
Hi Josh!
I noticed that you ,,randomly,, switch between open and closed right hand. Is there any purpose behind that or it’s just natural to you?
That was one of the best albums...its sad that style was changed..
Pffft 🙄
Fucking sick!
14:39 men will hear this and think to themselves "hell yea"
Everyone knows this and Edge of the Earth were peak Sylosis. Please go back to these styles
Or, let the musicians create and play what they enjoy 🙂
@@JordonBeal Yes.
But also, no :)
can you recreate the tone of your video "STL Tonehub Colin Richardson"?
"I hate 'jang jang jang jang' gimme some 'djun djun djun djun'" words to live by

My picking hand is bleeding from seeing the riff`age ;O
Toight.

Those first two EPs are fuckin stellar! They were onto something even way back then.
Oath of Silence was originally on casting, but re-recorded for coaa
