I remember reading something years ago about how we generally like to listen to music through our left ear, I also find myself turning to my right in the studio to listen purely through my left from time to time, could be why you prefer hearing the amp through the left speaker
@@SirLongBongFatRipps If sounds great, it's all you need. Sound engineers should stop being too overcomplicated with the process. No one except other sound engineers gives a fuck if you use that overly exaggerated technique for blend/cut/boost some guitar frequencies. Pantera sold a gazillion copies and create most of the crushing riffs of all time with a bad but unique tone, I'm 300% sure they never give a fuck about something that wasn't put a mic in front of a speaker and record.
The only thing I don't like about this plugin is when you turn up the post gain the volume increases/decreases. Could you possibly have this addressed in a later update? Its a pain in the ass having to adjust that then adjust the volume.
@@SirLongBongFatRipps that's not what I meant. I mean instead of having the post gain quiet and then turning the master volume up, i do the opposite. By pushing the post gain you get more of that "pushed tube sound" than when it's quieter. Really nice for dialing in note clarity without having to add a lot of pregain. That's the only reason I wish it had an auto function.
Haha yeah that was wild, I thought usually you want a pretty flat looking tone? I find if you scoop the mids so drastically you're gonna end up needing them later in the full context against everything else.
hes a world renowned musician, what hes saying about getting mids from his cab is right, you can see in the eq software he doesnt have a scoop in his mids at all, his mids arent scooped he just has more low and high end than mids in his guitar tone
more stuff with Josh please, he's great
IU never realized how good he was at mixing.
"idk how much of that im gonna hear, but i did it" so real

I do the exact same thing with the panning when getting a tone 🤷♀️
Love the video! I’d love to hear your thoughts on using some slight Soothe2 on guitars.
I’m glad I’m not the only one that favors an ear. I personally prefer my right ear when I’m tweaking my tone, left just feels wrong to me
Dialing in a tone on one speaker makes a lot of sense cause you eliminate any phase interference
Thats literally just working in mono again lol

I would also love that. I find a lot of my tone choices comes from the post gain
@@BrendonKPadjasek That's not a good idea, you're essentially tricking yourself into think a tone is better simply because it's become louder.

Didn't know that about the 5150's presence and treble. Good to know
Maybe a dumb question...but would you ever consider doing any 90s grunge on Nail the Mix?
Went over and grabbed a sub to STL Tone Hub to check out Josh's Tonality stuff 👍
It would be sick to get Adam D on Nail The Mix. He could go through one of the songs from As Daylight Dies.
I think Andy Sneap mixed that album
Havent been able to get a good tone with this plugin. Always sounds flubby and not tight or aggressive. If anyone can help that would be nice!
Rhythm Channel is a bit more forgiving for pushing those knobs past 6, works for TBDM.
I don’t know how you stare at so many gray tracks. Add some color to your life, dude 😂.
He has dog eyes
Mr. Scoopy Scoop is in denial about his tone

oh okay, sorry I was just using my ears @Rachel8260
ohhhh my bad, I was just using my ears. def should have looked at the eq software that is also scooped, @@PhntmShdw
You don’t understand eq, tone, speakers or amps. Do better.
Boring
3 mins in and STILL no sounds!.....
I'm out!
