The low damage is to compensate for how powerful bleed/status effect builds can be in this game. With that said the ripple crescent halberd and the ripple axe do a little more damage.
Ok but then why do Katanas do so high damage. They have bleed, more damage, can be buffed, can be infused, more range, better moveset. Its not like varres bouquet would have been overpowered with normal physical damage.
@@dancingcucumber9183 The damage of the bouquet seems similar to daggers. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that it was originally going to be a dagger but hammers probably needed an arcane option.
Morning Star also has a bleed and can be buffed too, but is also infusible and is at least generally considered better than the bouquet within the hammer class. If any Arcane build wants to use a bleed hammer, then Morning Star would be far more preferable. There just seems to be nothing good about the bouquet.
@@venn2001ad Morning star would have way less bleed tho. An occult morning star gets around 90 bleed at 50 arcane in which case it can't be buffed anymore or alternatively 50 bleed on heavy/keen and can be buffed with drawstring blood grease to also get about 90 bleed. On the other hand Varre's Boquet has 125 bleed at 50 arcane AND can still be buffed with blood grease to reach like 200 bleed since the bleed from the grease also benefits from the arcane scaling on the weapon. Morning star can't compete in the slightest in terms of status effect buildup.
Crystal sword is nice, you can go to liurnia, grab it and make it +5 at the beginning of the game without killing any bosses. Spend only 6 points in int, if you choose vagabond class and yoy can use it. Ash of war stun strong enemies like knights, omens and others. Good weapon, not the best, but can help you at the start
Sure but at that point there are better somber weapons to use those stones on. You can get the regalia of eochaid without fighting any bosses by doing some jumps, and if you’re willing to fight just one field boss you can get stuff like the Bloodhounds fang or deaths poker
The zamor curved sword is good idk why it’s here, it does do less damage than bhf (one of the best weapons in the game) yes but it has really high posture damage so you can more easily land more hits which makes damage easier to connect with. That does mean it’s main moveset is less effective against bosses which do have higher posture. But not every weapon needs to be a boss fighting weapon PVE is a huge portion of the game. Even then if you do want to use it for bosses the AoW is an almost instant frostbite far far far more effective than the spell. It does % making effective against bosses. I used it to skip mohg’s first phase
It’s literally not good. Everything you just described can be done by multiple other weapons and better done. Most of those weapons having a better move set. Stop defending these weapons that have obvious heavy flaws
@@humblehive6502 cipher pata is literally a good weapon for early game faith builds, doesn’t weigh anything and a crazy good ash of war against people with shields
the game should definitely have 1-2 rubbish early weapon for the people that love using the worst weapons... like broken straight sword but after you give us the one super bad on purpose weapon the others should have a purpose and a place. and nothing in the game should have a 0.5% drop rate, unless it's a shiny version of a functionally identical weapon.
Re Duelist Great Axe - ok, not saying it is amazing, but it does have a role. You can hit the strength requirements easily with Radagon’s Seal and Godrick’s Rune + two-handing, or use the strength crystal tear. Then, boom, you can suddenly run a colossal weapon that does high poise damage with something like Lions Claw on a Dex build. There are some boss fights I do this with on Dex runs where poise damage really matters.
What’s the point of modeling and coding a useless dogshit weapon that’ll never be used and has a .000005% chance of dropping off of Gringus the Ball Tickler?
The Zamor Curved Sword is the only weapon on this list powerful enough that it could be fairly excluded. That being said... I would LOVE for it to get an increase to its attack animation speed, this way we wouldn't need to rely only on the AoW to kill everything (and stance break the survivors) in melee range. And while there is a spell that does the same thing, the Zamor CS allows non-INT builds to use it (and to a powerful enough degree), so they can make use of the stats they prefer most, i.e. STR and DEX.
Bouquet could have gotten such amazing unique ashes of war, like something where you scatter the flower petals to make a cloud-like aoe with bleed build up while also sticking a little to enemies, instantly would have become a top tier weapon
Honestly they should have given it the Bloodletter treatment from bloodborne. Simple fast mace in one hand form. Drains some blood to become a colossal hammer with a greatsword moveset for x amount of seconds.
I don't thing a single spear can make it into a "worst weapons" list just because of the existence of powerstance, can it be outclassed by anything in its weapon class, arguably yes, but not enough to make it into the list
I’m convinced all 3 of the celebrants weapons exist purely to increase the weapon variety in game. Literally none of them are good, especially for being mid-late game and nearly impossible to farm
Varre’s bouquet at +10 does 112 damage. Bloodhound’s fang at +0 does 141 damage with all the benefits of the bouquet but with better range and ash of war.
I think that both of the trolls swords (Troll knights and Trolls golden sword) just to be more viable and comparable to the other CS, is to either give them a passive buff where it increases the damage of roars.(Similar to the highland axe) Or just give them a slight AR boost for their lack of range. Both or one of these buffs would be great for these weapons.
Troll's gold sword does have a unique buff. Troll's roar weapon art specifically does more damage with it than with any other weapon. It could also be troll's hammer but not sure
@@FREEDOMFIGHTER28s__Left__Dent Didn’t know that, I did testing and used the wiki and it said there was no passive effect. Maybe I’ve just missed something.
Perhaps the mantis blade could be another twin weapon that allows you to dual wield it when two handing it, and it's ash of war could be that rapid slash attack cemetery shades do
I'm certain Varre's Bouquet is a meme weapon designed for us to make jokes about how bad it is and do challenges. Like the broken straight sword in Dark Souls. I refuse to believe in any other explanation.
Honorable mention has to be the Mantis blade. Garbage range on all attacks but the strong attacks, which are cool, except they come out super slowly. Wasted potential
soul stifler stacks with frost debuff, and leave quality weapons alone not everyone stays at rl80 or whatever you are at. you can poise trap bosses with hammers by using the charged r2. duelist is for low-stat collosal poise damage. zamor is guanteed frost proc on anything inside the radius. etc. etc. people still complaining about how a bouquet of flowers and a lore sword arent OP?
Varres bouquet should’ve had one of the blood thorn sorcery’s as an ash of war like how the zamor curved sword gets a spell for its ash. Considering no one uses bloodthorn sorcery since it’s a faith sorcery.
Troll's Sword should have been a Regular Weapon and not a Somber Weapon, being stuck with Troll's Roar sucks, and I actually like Troll's Roar on some weapons, but it makes no sense on an Intelligence Weapon
4:55 im like 99% sure they mixed up the scaling properties on that great axe lmao the 30 str 10 dex requirement is the giveaway that its busted now picture it with E scaling dex with 10 dex requirement and A scaling str with 30 str requirement wouldn't that logically make more sense?
Duelist greataxe is a solid weapon. Low weight means its probably the easiest colossal to dual wield, and heavy infusion still gives you b scaling most of the time. Good for low level invasions. Too bad, they nerfed the piss out of the jumping heavy.
I dual wield two +25 heavy great stars with wild strikes and they kill any boss (yea malenia included) before they can even attack me. Especially if I use mimic tear on top of it.
I love the Zamor Curved sword. I think they should speed up the animation, and give it more of the double spin attack the enemies actually use with it. Damage output also needs to be increased.
@@enjoyer2227 Because of early game, lore, weapon background, skill, etc... A sacred relic sword is in a completely different league than an early game rusty dagger. Wouldn't you agree? Some weapons shine though the player adapting a great feel and skill, even though they are niche. Equality is an illusion and balance a living thing you have to adapt constantly. I don't know how fist weapons class, but i wish i could go through a gae like this with bare hands as a more viable option. more seriously though, where do you class Crossbows and bows as weapons? how bad are these as a class and individually to the rest of them?
zamor curved sword's AoW helped me a lot in fighting Radagon. Ashes of war and spells that make your character crouch are underrated, makes some bosses and enemies miss certain attacks quite ridiculously lmao
Another weapon class that definitely needs looking at are the bows, they have terrible scaling for the stat investment they want, excluding great bows like lions great bow with its ash of war, they're great at proc'ing statuses or taking out targets from afar with mighty shot but requiring buffs like golden vow and flame grant me strength while great make the weapon itself underwhelming due to the diminishing returns from the low str/dex scaling.
Fun fact that isn't actually fun: Slashing type weapons will usually have higher damage than any strike type weapons, just because of most enemies have higher slash resistance to compensate with the higher damage they have
Well, hammers are still worse than any other fast weapon in the same weight class. Unless you 2h in which hammers do get some good poise which they should have for 1h as well to atleast tank 1 hit from other fast weapons
Power stance it with Bloodhound's Fang or Morgott's Cursed Blade and it is actually pretty decent in a jump attack build. You can swap to two handing it for big packs for the AOE, works pretty well actually.

I would love, love to see Serpentbone Blade accept ashes of war. It’s not even a somber weapon. It’s already on the back foot compared to other katanas because it has poison instead of bleed, but it would at least have a use case if you could make it occult to boost the poison and damage, or you could make it bleed to favor blood over poison, as compared to a poison Uchigatana. It has such a cool moveset with the unique heavy, but then it’s locked to double slash which is so similar. I don’t even like katanas, and I’m upset about this.
Maybe they could add trinkets that increase your strike damage or something. The same way there is one for thrusting. That alone could make them do worthwhile damage? Maybe? I remember something like that wasn't needed in DS2 because most bosses were weak to strike, which made strike weapons incredibly good.
I enjoy the crystal sword and use it a lot, but once I get the rotten crystal sword, I’ll probably be switching 😂. Being able to buff it would be nice, though.

@@venn2001ad exactly. You nailed it to a T.
This video is amazing. My man’s voice actually cracks a few times from disgust, lol.
You could say the same about literally any somber weapon that you can find early. Reduvia, treespsear, bloodhound fang, golden halberd to name a few
there is literally a ton of early game weapons that completely demolish the crystal sword and can be accessed easier than it
Sucks
I just came for some whining and boy I am satisfied 😊
I live for your complaints and also weird tier ranking. My fav is still when you ranked the weather. I’m probably gonna watch that again after this 🤣
The zamor curved sword is good idk why it’s here, it does do less damage than bhf (one of the best weapons in the game) yes but it has really high posture damage so you can more easily land more hits which makes damage easier to connect with.
It’s mid af bro what
@@funny_cupcakes8 yeah that's what i mean when weapons like the cipher pata exist it shouldn't be on a list of 10 worst
@@humblehive6502 cipher pata is literally a good weapon for early game faith builds, doesn’t weigh anything and a crazy good ash of war against people with shields
@@funny_cupcakes8 we're in glass houses man
I want to make a note that the cane sword seems to be based on the Chinese straight sword and not on an actual cane sword.
crystal sword was decent in offhand when i’m using sword night flame
Needs to be off hand to be usable = terrible weapon
nothin wrong with taking the role of side kick
112 damage - "yeh that's pretty bad"
at +10 "BAHAHAHAHAHAAHA oh gawd"
The zamor is good for hardswaps in pvp against thirst gankers
I love how you complained about even the order you presented these trash weapons
the game should definitely have 1-2 rubbish early weapon for the people that love using the worst weapons... like broken straight sword
but after you give us the one super bad on purpose weapon the others should have a purpose and a place.
and nothing in the game should have a 0.5% drop rate, unless it's a shiny version of a functionally identical weapon.
Zamor is great with a powerstanced curved greatsword jump build for an offhand weapon... but otherwise, yeah that main hand moveset is weird.
Considering it needs another weapon to preform even at the bare minimum is a pretty good sign that it needs major changes
Imagine using Duelist Greataxe on dex build when Zweihander exist
That's a lot of commitment when you can run lower requirement dex weapons for similar or atleast decent poise damage
All that to still get a mid weapon
What’s the point of modeling and coding a useless dogshit weapon that’ll never be used and has a .000005% chance of dropping off of Gringus the Ball Tickler?
the funni
The Zamor Curved Sword is the only weapon on this list powerful enough that it could be fairly excluded. That being said... I would LOVE for it to get an increase to its attack animation speed, this way we wouldn't need to rely only on the AoW to kill everything (and stance break the survivors) in melee range. And while there is a spell that does the same thing, the Zamor CS allows non-INT builds to use it (and to a powerful enough degree), so they can make use of the stats they prefer most, i.e. STR and DEX.
Pretty sure the aow scales on int.
Why are we shocked that a bouquet of flowers does less damage than an actual weapon?
Because thorns hurt man, like, a lot
It's not actually flowers. It's a metal mace with sharpened edges made to look like flowers.
Even with a better aow it wouldn't save it because hammer and no range.
I don't thing a single spear can make it into a "worst weapons" list just because of the existence of powerstance, can it be outclassed by anything in its weapon class, arguably yes, but not enough to make it into the list
For me, it is the celebrant's cleaver.
Its 10 souls a hit does not mean much when you need 12-15 hits to kill ANYTHING in mid-late game
I’m convinced all 3 of the celebrants weapons exist purely to increase the weapon variety in game. Literally none of them are good, especially for being mid-late game and nearly impossible to farm
Do the entire quest with invasions, etc and they give you that statupid bouquet. By far the worse weapon in the game.
Varre’s bouquet at +10 does 112 damage. Bloodhound’s fang at +0 does 141 damage with all the benefits of the bouquet but with better range and ash of war.
Man I can’t even watch this video you are way too mad about it.
Zamor ice storm is very good, it's a shame it comes with the crappy zamor sword only
I think that both of the trolls swords (Troll knights and Trolls golden sword) just to be more viable and comparable to the other CS, is to either give them a passive buff where it increases the damage of roars.(Similar to the highland axe) Or just give them a slight AR boost for their lack of range.
Have to stop comparing other weapons to the Bloodhounds Fang. Its basically a cheat code almost for new souls players
Do Best Boss weapons to worst boss weapons
Perhaps the mantis blade could be another twin weapon that allows you to dual wield it when two handing it, and it's ash of war could be that rapid slash attack cemetery shades do
"Man, why can't all weapons be like the most broken mouth breather weapons? These weapons are SO bad!" Does this guy even listen to himself?
The only use the cane sword has is to use sepuku and proc bleed because it's light.
I'm certain Varre's Bouquet is a meme weapon designed for us to make jokes about how bad it is and do challenges. Like the broken straight sword in Dark Souls.
I refuse to believe in any other explanation.
The Zamora curved sword AoW is way better then the spell...
We don’t need things fix, we need good and bad weapons for a balanced game
Sometimes a person just wants to someone shit on things that need shitting on. For that, I thank you.
Duelist greataxe is a solid weapon. Low weight means its probably the easiest colossal to dual wield, and heavy infusion still gives you b scaling most of the time. Good for low level invasions. Too bad, they nerfed the piss out of the jumping heavy.
0:26
I dual wield two +25 heavy great stars with wild strikes and they kill any boss (yea malenia included) before they can even attack me. Especially if I use mimic tear on top of it.
I laughed so hard during this video.
😂
TRUE!
The showed weapons are all garbage! 🗑️
I love the Zamor Curved sword. I think they should speed up the animation, and give it more of the double spin attack the enemies actually use with it. Damage output also needs to be increased.
It's all about contrast. You have to have bad weapons in order to let some others shine.
That’s so dumb though. Why can’t the weapons be designed in such a way that they all shine?
@@enjoyer2227 Because of early game, lore, weapon background, skill, etc...
A sacred relic sword is in a completely different league than an early game rusty dagger. Wouldn't you agree?
Some weapons shine though the player adapting a great feel and skill, even though they are niche.
Equality is an illusion and balance a living thing you have to adapt constantly. If you get used to the most balanced meta, it becomes naturally disbalanced.
If every weapon is something great --> that would render a lot of others boring. Where is the fun in finding something that's just as good as the others?
Good things are rare. That's not dumb, that's a fact.
Celebrants skull, grafted colossal sword, and helphens steeple as honorable mentions
That troll knight greatsword, I though it was a good weapon, I farmed it, I upgraded it, and then I understood it was trash and never used it anymore, I think the worst thing of the weapon is the ash of war, for an inteligence based weapon it's really bad.
There is a few intelligence based weapon, but there is balance, or it's super strong, and it's super bad.
Idk why the ash isnt the carrian swords spell….its such an obvious choice lol
I wish they added a weapon like the laddle in ds2
Hyped when i got bloody flowers, quickly disappointed that i wasted a whole ancient dragon somber smithing stone to max it, its only redeeming quality is the bleed which is honestly not worth it, i can get more on a bow with blood arrows. Why dude.
5:56 much as i like the ash of war on the sword ( I love sound based attacks)... this weapons a mess.
as bad as these are, I have questions. first off...
any ideas how they could fix the bare fists? I don't know how fist weapons class, but i wish i could go through a gae like this with bare hands as a more viable option.
more seriously though, where do you class Crossbows and bows as weapons? how bad are these as a class and individually to the rest of them?
I have only two words to contribute.... RICKETY SHIELD! It's awesomeness cannot be realized by mere mortals
Hilarious to me that the first weapon to ever kill me in ER is the worst weapon according to the list lmao
who wouldve guessed that a bouquet of flowers would be the worst way of applying dmg to an enemy in a fighting game....OH JEEZ AH!
zamor curved sword's AoW helped me a lot in fighting Radagon. Ashes of war and spells that make your character crouch are underrated, makes some bosses and enemies miss certain attacks quite ridiculously lmao
Bro mad at a flower troll weapon like rlly mad I have a feeling he is a boring ass person that takes everything serious
How about pure fashion rating for weapons? from awesome best to your favorite “doo doo trash”
I’ve done that already. There’s a tier list and a top 10 for weapons based on design
Zamor sword is actually goated
The reason the cane sword sucks is because it's a mall ninja weapon.
Fun fact that isn't actually fun: Slashing type weapons will usually have higher damage than any strike type weapons, just because of most enemies have higher slash resistance to compensate with the higher damage they have
Its also that strike weapons do more posture damage. Its why hes wrong about the hammers.
Well, hammers are still worse than any other fast weapon in the same weight class. Unless you 2h in which hammers do get some good poise which they should have for 1h as well to atleast tank 1 hit from other fast weapons
Ivory Sickle goes baller on a dual-wield build with Glintstone Kris.
I wished the Zamor Curved sword actually was good, I like it... 😢
Power stance it with Bloodhound's Fang or Morgott's Cursed Blade and it is actually pretty decent in a jump attack build. You can swap to two handing it for big packs for the AOE, works pretty well actually.
@@henrywesterman493stupidest advice ever. That’s like saying blood bouquet isn’t a bad weapon just power stance it with cold infused great stars hammer.
If you just use it as an ash of war stick then it’s definitely a good weapon
Very different type of video but maybe a top 10 consumable items video? I love these types of videos from you, keep it up man
Winged greathorn isn’t actually too bad with its quality scaling. It pairs exceptionally well with physical throwing consumables as they also have quality scaling. Put on something that does frost too and you have a quality build with the strongest throwing knives in the game
Yes but the horn isn’t even being used. Stop defending weapons that only buff the use of actually good weapons. If you need CONSUMABLES for a weapon to even preform good, that’s a bad weapon
@@magicoil1572 If you are fast with weapon swaps I agree. It is only a buff for a better weapon you can swap to. But outside of that, it being a quality weapon is good for it because of its synergy with consumables.
It is rare when people talk about the damage of physical consumables but being able to stack the damage of it combos well with the weapons delayed r2s. (pvp)
how dare you put the ribrake at number 3. the 10 runes you get for killing an enemy are clearly worth the terrible damage, ugly look and low drop rate.
The rib rake does less damage so that it can procc its rune generation more times on each enemy. Not saying its good, just that thats the logic behind it.
Always thought it was terrible the Mantis blade had no bleed. Total let down as it looks cool.
Zamor AOW is great to cheese bosses. It deals a shitton of poise dmg.
At least it used to. Dunno if its still the case.
0:49 yeah hammers and axes are kinda meh. That rotten battle hammer or whatever it’s called is pretty decent tho. But that’s only cause it’s one of the only weapons that cause scarlet rot
In case you haven't noticed, Fromsoft does their own thing.
i feel like you are missing the point of some of these weapons as offhand powerstance tools
The mantis blade has the most reach and least at the same time, my favorite weapon
Not to mention one of the coolest weapon designs imo. Absolutely disappointing
Maybe they could add trinkets that increase your strike damage or something. The same way there is one for thrusting. That alone could make them do worthwhile damage? Maybe?
I remember something like that wasn't needed in DS2 because most bosses were weak to strike, which made strike weapons incredibly good.
The talisman doesn't increase thrust damage, only the thrust *counter* damage
@@randomizer_god Yeah I know, I meant something that is like that
I enjoy the crystal sword and use it a lot, but once I get the rotten crystal sword, I’ll probably be switching 😂. Being able to buff it would be nice, though.
Brother like 400 different weapons on the game calm down.
The only redeeming quality of varre's bouquet is that because it's buffable and scales to arcane it can scale the buildup of status effect greases. Actually half decent with bleed grease. Still dogshit and only for memes
Clinging Bone's Ash can be used as an anti-gank in pvp.
But yeah really wish they buffed the hammer classes. Swapped to heavy lance (which also has the same dex requirement as hand ballista, nice) due to how poorly in comparison the hammers were doing.
>.> Personally could kill for more passive regen gear.
10:14 gonna be honest. I tried farming for that. Kinda regret it. I never got it but it was a waste of time
Bro u can’t avoid having bad weapons/weapon classes, if everything was OP there would be no progression arch. If u think “aw man I could be using a katana rn” while using a hammer I think that’s a u problem
LOL what
Winged greathorn - would be really great with its unique AoW if it wouldn't have ludacris high stat requirement, great caster or off hand weapon with the debuff
Zamor sword fine just how it is, i use it against melania
