A huge thank you to Cold Air Inductions for sending me this intake. It made a huge difference in sound and was a breeze to install. The only intake I know of for the Colorado that keeps the engine cover in place. What do you guys think of the install? 🤔
The GMPP one like mine keeps the engine cover as well.
What was the OAT on the 1st dyno run compared to the second? I ask since OAT must be taken into account. For example, if it were two degrees cooler on the day of the 2nd dyno run that alone could explain a slight HP increase. However, if it was warmer, and there was still an increase in HP it would be more meaningful.
As far as a tune it's not difficult to get a little more HP, even if starting from bone stock, since factory tunes are fairly conservative as they must meet EPA clean air standards.
Not trying to spoil the party, it's just science. And regardless of what you do with the Colorado, the ZR1 won't have anything to worry about. ;)
Btw: I like watching others work on vehicles. It's much easier than doing it myself. ;)
Is it a dry filter like some AEM cold air intakes and just needs spray and rinse to clean it?
@@robharryman2054 on the GMPP one yes.
@@robharryman2054 It will certainly be cleaner. Although it will never be as clean as it was when it was brand new. Does that matter? Probably not. However, 'probably' isn't very definitive.
I'd like to see the long term mpg numbers from the cold air intake
I got mine today and installed it in about 40 minutes. Thanks Horse Power Obsessed for posting this. I really like the look and the fact that the enginge cover stays intact.
You're quite welcome! I love mine as well!
Do yourself a favor. Try the K&N cold system part number 77-3104KP. If you are truly "HP Obsessed" you will be impressed. HP power can make more noise as it breathes better ( or capable of breathing better), as you have already seen. The cover being on the engine is 100% cosmetic. If ya like the look that's fine. But I have never noticed it with the hood closed, and that is how most vehicles are operated. Then add an exhaust ( I like the Borla) as it is completely 304 stainless - not just the tip- like the O.E. so it will last a long time. The engine can't draw more air if it can not get out what it has sucked in. And exhaust is designed to help scavenge the charge out of the cylinders which helps to fill the cylinders. Adding two slicks to a rear drive vehicle can give you a bit more traction , but when you add sure/grip, what a difference! I've seen dyno recording 20 more HP at the ground in these v-6's. the two or so you got???
Thank you @HorsepowerObsessed for putting out the Colorado content! I also appreciate the dyno test. Tons of people have over hyped or under hyped the performance increase on intakes so its good to know about the sounds and the 2 extra horses. Did you notice any difference in the MPG?
Not really. The biggest difference came in the form of extra sound and the reusability of the filter.
Ive had that same intake on my 2018 colorado for almost a year now and absolutely love it!
Agreed! It's definitely one of the better ones!
Are you running the stock tune or did you go with something different? Just curious to see how a new tune would affect the performance with that intake.
Stock tune. I may tune it in the future, though.
Little known fact, I used to build and sell custom CAIs on Amazon with all 5-star reviews. One thing to consider is that metal intakes start colder but once heat soaked often go from adding to subtracting power.
You might also compare to simply changing the stock filter element with a free flowing K&N. That stock intake looks very well designed.
Also, intake gains are usually measured at the point of max difference under the two dyno curves, not at peak.
Lastly, I use oiled filters too, but they have their skeptics who say more flow means less filtering.
Both of those options look great.
I've been thinking about switching over to the dryflow filter instead (high flowing, NO oil)
I'm curious given that box in the video is clearly insulated inside with heat resistant material lining the walls, do you still feel that "heat soak" would be an issue?
its not "skeptics who say"
its "scientific testing shows they filter less particulates"
Thanks dude. You helped answer my question to the T as i also didn’t want to remove my stock cover.
Awesome! You're quite welcome!
I just purchased a 2018 z71. So I really lucked out! Thanks for the uploads
You’re very welcome! You’re gonna love it!
Im glad you got to try out a Cold Air Inductions system. Been looking at it for awhile but couldn’t find any other videos reviewing it. Thanks!!!!
You're quite welcome! It's one of the better ones for sure!
Did you see any improvement in gas mileage after this modification ?
Sounds much better after. No doubt. Not much more hp but the sound is worth it.
Agreed!
Hello again HPO!! Great video and you have no idea how much I appreciate you taking the time and expense to get the proof! Now I’d like to give my $.02 worth. I’m not sure how much that kit cost, but being made out of what looks like sheet metal, has a disadvantage over plastic of holding heat, and to a small extent weight. Also without a smooth intake tube after the sensor mount tube is just wrong, especially it priced higher than kit, like K&N, that offer the kits both ways, metal and plastic, with an without tubes! The I also noticed where the box meets up to the inner fender, there’s a lot of extra metal in the fender liner/frame design, that leaves the hole smaller than the wide open air box where it mounts up to on the inner fender! I know it would not be easy, but cutting away that extra metal, to make that hole as large as the open side of the air box I’m sure would help! Just look at the original air box, you can see what I mean looking at the snorkel that fits into the same size hole! That restricts the aftermarket air box, effectively as much as the stock air box! I’d love to see a dyno run after that hole get enlarged! Plus a comparison between the major aftermarket CAI’s. I remember seeing one 5 years ago, where that was done on a 2015 Charger R/T, where 6 different kits were compared. The best was the plastic type K&N, at $325 at the time. The worst was from a brand I cannot remember, but there was no tube after the sensor! The most expensive gave the most peak hp, that was actually a fancy MOPAR CAI Kit, with aluminum tubes, plastic molded box and big blue conical air filter. But the power increase was less at 4-5 thousand than the K&N, that had more tq at lower rpm! But I know every vehicle is different!
I appreciate that, Kevin. Thank you for weighing in. While you're not wrong I really liked this unit for a few different reasons but most notably it's look, the sound, and the fact that the filter is reusable. Is it perfect? Absolutely not but it's good enough that GM chose it for it's performance parts division so it must be doing more right than wrong.
Hey man. I finally got the Invision shifter like you and Matty , came in today and installed it tonight . I love it . And I got a great deal on EA-bay . Keep having fun with the truck and the Vette .
18’ Kinetic Blue
Thanks, man! I don't actually have that shifter though.
Great to see real numbers before and after an intake swap!
Definitely agree!
Just picked up a hpo red decal for my midnight edition Colorado trying to get in on you before you blow up !! Keep up the good work
Awesome! Thank you for the support! 👍👍
Always so well explained!
Thanks, Jason!
Just FYI, flow master super 44 sounds amazing on the Colorado.
Nice! I'll check it out. 👍
Thanks for the video, great content as always! If you're looking for video ideas, I'd be super interested to see what that intake can do with a proper tune. And a follow up on any difference in gas-mileage maybe? Just throwing it out there - thanks for all the Colorado content!
You're quite welcome! I am still not sure what I want to do as far as the tune goes.
I just put in a K&N air filter still getting 20mpg-22mpg at 65mph on the back roads to work. Freeway is 23-24 at 68mph.
We put on a K&N that removes the engine cover. If you seen the air constriction and chambers incorporated in that engine cover, you would see why the replacement tubing would give even more improvement over just replacing just the air box.
ON a Silverado I saw them do a test, 3 runs on the stock intake, and change it to a Cold Air Induction Intake, while it was on the dyno, and did 3 runs, picked up average of 15 hp
I have a 2018 gmc canyon. I put the cold air intake on mine but went ahead and also put the flow master muffler on mine. Those together made a lot of difference. You should try it. You'll like it....
I ended up trading this truck for a ZR2 with the performance Cat-Back already installed and I agree, the two together is fantastic.
People your stock air box is a cold air intake from the factory on your Colorado’s. Taking the factory box out and replacing it with a aluminum box that’s a heat sink will bring your temps up. Both boxes breath through the same hole in the fender, just replace your air filter with a K&N or similar washable they flow way more air that’s where there getting there HP# from. A stock replacement filter from K&N has more surface Area And more flow than their filter just don’t over oil filter As It’s not good for the mass airflow sensor.
Get the same or better ## for the cost of a filter and no problems from the Poe Poe that wants to look under the hood
I can’t believe it didn’t include smooth bellow tubes in the kit..
Nice! I'm in NYC and I have a 19 z71 4x4 in kinetic blue with a v6. I did a s&b intake and gibson dual split exhaust. I feel a slight difference but I haven't tuned it or dyno run. I'd like to so that eventually. You've also motivated me to level my truck and put the spacers. I was going to get a silverado but being in the city the smaller truck helps me fund parking easier haha.
Awesome! I chose the mid-size truck for a similar reason. Much easier to maneuver.
As well for me it can tow my race car with ease and no issues. I want to add the boost auto parts tow mirrors to mine
@@src9275 just wait until you get a tune the exhaust and intake will feel alot better
SRC92 Nice choice on going with the tried and true S&B intake
Can’t believe this intake in the video just reuses the factory duct piping.. I would of coughed up the small difference, if any and get the S&B that replaces everything up to the TB
Lets see the graft in its entirety. Peak numbers don't mean squat! The peak torque increase alone made it worth it. However, did you improve the torque curve throughout the mid range where you cruise? It may have given you 6 ft/lbs "peak" torque, but did it open up 10-15 ft/lbs in the areas that you drive in the most where you really need it? Also, what did it do you your AFR? Are you too leaned out, or did the ECU compensate for the increased air flow? There is so much useful information missing here.
I love how you mentioned not much content for the Colorado. I have a Buick Regal Sportback GS - there's no content for it! Haha.
lol that's true!
I'd swap the stock intake hose for a smooth one. You'd probably see a 15% increase in performance vs your previous results.
Thanks for the video. I have a 2018 Colo Z71 4x4. I am glad I found this video, as I was hoping to see a more aggressive hp bump from the CAI.
In reality a cold air intake doesn't really make much of a difference unless there's a tune to go with it. In this case there are other reasons to do it, though. Reusability, engine sound, improved gas mileage, etc.
Would you be able to post the dyno graphs? I'd like to see how the curves changes throughout the rpm band
I was just asking the same thing. Peak numbers reside in areas of the RPM range where we hardly drive. What did it do to that mid range curve?
Seems like the CAI intake did exactly what my K&N blackhawk did. Sounds cool but minimal increases in any power and zero fuel efficiency gain or loss
Interesting. It seems these cars/trucks have better built air intakes than they used to.
Pair it with a headers and a good exhaust
🤣 its good you keep it 💯 some people think cold air intake you will see a ton of hp but you need at least intake, exhaust and a tune to see or feel real hp good video 🤙
Only real world benefits here. Do I wish it made more? Absolutely, but it also has its benefits outside of power addition.
You could probably achieve the same result with K&N High Flow air filter Part #: 33-5030
The after numbers can be from the air intake or more likely an environmental difference like lower ambient temperature, different humidity, or some other change. A difference that small is certainly not worth what you paid for the intake. This just reinforces what everyone on the forums and FB page say, an intake is worthless on the 3.6 LGZ engine.
Agreed. Definitely not conclusive.
It IS the most popular truck on my UA-cam.
Heck yeah!! 👍👍
It's also subject of a lawsuit for defective transmissions. No thanks
So, a few more HP. Okay, sounds like it's time for a bigger boat.😉 Now you've got to get Matty to do a Carbon Fiber wrap on the new air box and the engine cover.😏 FWIW, as far as engine covers go, I like the one on the Colorado. Save the Wave.🙋♂️
Thanks, Peter! I agree, the engine looks weird without it. Matty and I have to get together for a Colorado meetup soon!
I'm Peter and I approve of that Meet Up message.👍🤣
🤣🤣
It’s like you have your own personal Dyno! 😂
🤣🤣🤣 I wish!
@@HorsePowerObsessed If you did, imagine what your neighbors might think. Most would probably hate you, although there would be some (such as myself for example) who'd be exceptionally nice to you. Think of the fun tuning parties would be. :D
This looks exactly like the GMPP one i have in my '15 Colorado. Nice job 👍
Thank you. Apparently GM actually contracted cold air inductions to make their GM performance intake. 👍
Man I love your videos. It actually helped me come to a decision for my tire and lift upgrade. Do you do any sound system work? I would love to see you work around that. That’s my next step so I’m curious about your approach.
Thank you. I haven't done any sounds system work but it could be something in the future. 👍👍
HorsePower Obsessed I’m definitely tuning in!
Awesome! 👍👍
Hey Justin,,,,,the K&N C.A.I is a lot louder than the one you just installed. The K&N has long plastic tube, and i think that`s what makes it so loud.
If im not mistaken Justin, the one you just installed is almost identical to the one from GM,,,,BUT,,,,,
The BIG COVER thats on top of your engine,,,,,its actually part of your air intake system, and thats a really bad design by GM
There`s a small air port that`s made into that cover, just underneath,,,,and i think that`s the part that actually limits the amount of air that feeds into your air intake on the manifold.
It took me a long time to figure that out when i installed the K&N on my 2015.
Im willing to bet,,,,that the K&N Cold Air Intake provides a lot more horsepower than the one you have, because it completely eliminates that big cover, and one big tube goes in its place.
If you remove that cover and look under it you can see what i mean.
Also,,,,with the K&N system installed, that engine will actually backfire through the air intake when you shut the motor off almost every time.
It`s a very faint backfire sound.
That another reason why i took my K&N back off.
That's one of the reasons I didn't want an intake with the tube because I've heard of some issues with replacing the whole thing. I wouldn't want it much louder than this one and I definitely don't want any backfiring. This is the same unit as the GM one, cold air inductions actually makes it for GM.
@@HorsePowerObsessed I`ve seen the GM Cold Air Intakes in UA-cam thats how i know, and the full sized trucks look basically the same.
Also,,, our PCV valve tubes are connected to the big cover as well, and thats the bad thing about Direct injection Engines.
That`s why i installed a Moroso Catch Can, to keep it from dumping oil in through the intake port.
So far, its caught maybe 10 to 15 drops of oil, but over time that can add up, and cake the valves.
They dont seem to dump oil unless your turning really high RPM`s
Just about every auto maker is using Direct Port Injection Engines now, except for the new Ford 7.3 Tremor, and maybe the 5.0 Coyote
Great before and after shots. I’m going to have to snatch one of these up XD. Have you ended up noticing a mpg difference?
I never saw a difference with mentioning.
Would have been nice if both sets of numbers were Engine RPM instead of one being speed, would have liked to see if there was a difference at what rpm max numbers for hp/tq were achieved
Any reduction in restrictions in air flow helps.
Have you thought of putting the mallet or edlebrock supercharger kits on the truck?
This cold air intake only does half of what a full cold air intake does. This one is using the same intake tube, with all the restrictions that come with it. Its just a little louder than the stock one, with a slight increase of air flow because of a more open filter. If you want real cold air intake results, you have to get a different intake tube to really increase air flow.
Small improvement. I’m not planning on adding this to my GMC Canyon.
Your fan sounds badass!!!
Kool thanks. I will show pic of my black Paw soon
Thanks! Definitely do!
Should do a maf sensor tune after modification to the intake. It will change the values in the maf curve to have a higher flowing intake
Agreed. You'll definitely have a bigger gain with a tune as well.
@@HorsePowerObsessed I'm just saying specifically the maf table. The speed density stuff won't change as much
Nice video, but for the cost/gains. You would have gotten the same result from a drop in panel filter like a k&n or similar reusable filter as all you did was really change the filter. The box made zero difference. Just looks a little nicer as it has plexiglass....
It makes a much different sound than a drop in would as well. 👍👍
Badass man! Can’t wait to see what comes next!
Thank you!
If you had changed out the the rest of the intake instead of using the stock engine cover section, you would have gained another 15-20 hp. Got an S&B for my 2018 and it definitely made a difference in my pedal response.
15 to 20 is wishful thinking, get it on a dyno and prove it
First of all , Thank You for posting your video.
I noticed your last HP reading was 251after the installation of the cold air induction but isnt the Colorado V6 rated at,
2017-present 3.6 L LGZ V6 308 hp (230 kW) 275 lb⋅ft (373 N⋅m) US & Mexico, did I miss something?
The 308 horsepower rating is at the crank. That number never makes it to the wheels. It's usually around 15% less at the wheels.
That is closer now to your readings at 261.8 HP, Thanks for replying.
You're quite welcome!
Yup, horspowers explanation is correct so I'm just adding a little extra here. All manufacturers nowadays rate at the crank. So while the engine does produce the advertised power, its not what you see to the wheel.
2hp gain for only $350? The only thing I like about this CAI is you keep the stock engine cover, now if they offered a dry washable filter to put in it? Maybe I could put a K&N dry washable filter in it? 🤔
There is a dry filter available for it.
@@HorsePowerObsessed I'm on Cold Air Inductions site and after I punch in 2021 GMC Canyon 3.6L V6 I am only seeing this CAI and a oiled filter
Have you heard of RIPP supercharger? Think you might try to put one on your truck? They claim 100+whp!! Now that would be something to see......😜
I do. I thought about it but I don't know if I want to mess with the warranty... YET.
Dude totally like you videos, well.
Thanks, man!
No. Not unless you have a tuner program the ecm to use the higher flow
The tune would definitely help that's for sure.
As in the forum's content from many many users, not really worth doing for performance. I went with a Purolator One Air Filter saw about the same advantage as this cold air thingy , got 1.5 more MPG. Purolator One highest air intake stock
This really isn’t a cold air intake. It’s just a high flow filter with a modified airbox. You’re technically still sucking in hot engine bay air.
The air is actually pulled in from the fender above the wheel (passenger side). This is outside of the engine bay.
Nathan Key unless the hood sits snugly and seals the top if the modified box,
your statement is not entirely true. It gets very warm under the hood and all that air is exposed to the air filter.
@@velocity731 you clearly didn't see how HPs air box installs. The top of the box is sealed and it seals against the air pick up from the fender. Its not pulling from the engine bay. And the maf adapter seals in the box too. Looks pretty well designed for an aftermarket setup.
Agreed. No change in flow from stock.
That’s a good looking truck
Thank you!
AS with ANY CAI....you only get a couple HP increase AT BEST.
Yup. As demonstrated here. The benefits of an intake aren't just added power, though.
Crazy, i've been chatting with a few people and im hoping to get lined up on a dyno the same day as someone who has a similar set up. My last dyno i made 244 hp & 304 tq. Thats cold air, exhaust and a canned tune from diablosport. Id like to run a trifecta tuned truck next to mine to see if its justifed running a tune that costs an extrs $200 over my current diablo tune
I've heard Trifecta is the tune you want for this truck. I'd be curious to see what it would gain as well.
@@HorsePowerObsessed thats what they say. I couldnt be more happy with diablo. Raised rev limit, no speed limit(not that i would advise going over your tire rating) and all the tuneables i need on the fly. Being able to switch from a tow tune & performance tune without the need of a laptop makes it great for me along with custom picked settings like upshift torq and throttle sensitivity.
Sounds pretty awesome for sure!
@@casuallyuploaded9789 Trifecta is going from sport to eco by pressing the cruise button, and a very nice tune
Love the Colorado
Thank you!
Thanks for all your content. I recently purchased a new to me 2017 Colorado with the baby Duramax diesel engine. The cold air intake and fender flares were on my to-do list but the wheel extenders and lift were added thanks to your video. I appreciate the stats on the before and after with the cold air intake, be interesting to see what those stats would be like with the diesel instead of gas engine. Curious to know how it affects the mpgs...I'm pretty consistent at 27-28 for routine driving and 34-35 with the cruise set at 77 on the interstate.
I haven't noticed any affect on MPG so if it changes it at all it's not by much. The biggest thing for me is a reusable air filter. It adds a few horsepower and it looks cool as well 😎
Is it much louder at low RPM? Like on the highway is the NVH any worse with an aftermarket intake?
Not really much different at low RPM and I didn't notice any difference in NVH either.
@@HorsePowerObsessed that's awesome, thanks for replying!
what kind of tune do you recommend? Tell me like i'm 5 and can't even change a tire.

How is this a cold air intake isn’t the filter location the same? Only difference I see is a different filter box with a hi flow filter. I would expect the same result with the stock box with a k&n replacement.
Did the dyno tuner check the fuel trims? A lot of the cold air intakes change the position of the mass air flow sensor causing the fuel trims to be off especially on the C7 corvettes.
No, was there specifically for HP/TQ numbers and that's it. I may run this again in the future with a dry air filter instead and see what it does. If I do that I'll have him check out some more info.
I just purchased a 2020 Colorado Rst it comes with a cold air intake I was curious on what difference it makes
Colorado's already have cold air intake waste of money. Just buy a high flow filter, same results , $350 cheaper. Why doesn't some company just make a clear top with a new high-flow filter? I did enjoy the video nice job
I appreciate it. As far as the intake is concerned, to each their own. The big thing here is reusability and the sound gained from the intake in my personal opinion. Totally up to you if it's worth it or not.
gotta loc tite every bolt esp those maf sensor bolts pretty much everything except the clamps there
It's been over a year and they are still tight. I don't imagine those would come loose with a little bit of torque on them.
Have you compared this intake to another intake, I have a K&N plastic one, while I like the tone it makes its incredibly loud for daily driving, would mind something quieter or something that has a legit box around the actual filter to muffle the sound a bit
Can you post a video on how you clean it?
I sure will! 👍👍
i am so disappointed with the numbers cause the 2020 ranger i had was a 4cyl. turbo and had better numbers stock (256hp and 278torque from dyno) i thought the v6 would have better numbers which i ended up getting a 2020 colorado zr2 v6
What's a recommended tune for this truck
Trifecta.
Have you upgraded the exhaust? That would work well with the CAI.
I have not. I haven't found one I like the sound of yet.
Have you done or considered doing a performance upgrade tune? Can you offer any 411 on the subject?
I thought about it but I don't want to mess up the factory warranty just yet!
Do you have a video about adding a tune to the Colorado to really get all of the power out of the truck?
Not yet. I haven't decided on a tune yet. Hoping to hang on to my factory warranty a little longer.
HorsePower Obsessed. Oh ok I got a 2020 Colorado and are watching basically everything you have done to yours for ideas on mine. Also I got a warranty for mine that covers aftermarket products as long as they are professionals installed. So it should also cover a tune but I can’t seem to find one anywhere.
Are you going to add an aftermarket exhaust system as well?
I thought about it but I can't find one I like the sound of.
Do you know if there are long term affects from adding the cold air intake?.. I'm going fior the sound, not too much about 2 xtra ponies or gas but i also plan on having my truck fior years to come. Thx
The only long term effects I can think of would be you'll be able to wash and re-use this filter versus having to buy a new one with the stock stuff. It's all pros otherwise. This is the same intake GM chose to use as their performance intake so even GM thinks it's best for this truck.
Is this the only CAI that allows you to keep the engine cover on?
Are you going to get a tune done with the intake now? Interested in seeing the final results.
I may. I'm not sure if I want to void my powertrain warranty just yet.
I hear ya. I still haven’t done too many things to my ‘18 Z71 either for the same reason LOL. But I did get that cup holder inserts you recommended.
Price per performance ratio sucks. Oh well, save the $ and leave it stock. I'm assuming it was in the $200+ dollar range?
Yes it was, but with a tune it would be needed! And it sounds amazing.
@@HorsePowerObsessed I guess it would depend on how deep your pockets are weather or not in the end the initial cost of the new intake plus cost of a tune and dyno time is really worth it. For a UA-camr like yourself, you can certainly make $ for the vids, for a lot of us, justifying $300-$500 (estimate) just isn't worth 10-15 hp. Plus you'll never get that back when it's time to move on to another truck. Just my $.02
True, but you can take it off and resell it. I never trade in or sell my vehicles with the mods on it.
So the tune is key to power
I have a 2016 4 cylinder could I do the same with my truck? Or not recommend. I’m looking for ways to get my truck above 93 an hour. 🤣
Absolutely! The same intake fits the 4 cylinder as well!
I bought a 2022 Colorado Z71 a few months ago. I thought i did enough research about the truck before i bought it but i missed a couple things. I noticed there isnt a lot of aftermarket sites for these trucks, besides Realtrucks, what else is out there. Also somehow i missed there was a cylinder deactivation feature on my truck. Is there a way to turn it off?
There is a lot of aftermarket out there for this truck. Realtruck, Amazon, Rough Country, etc. All my videos have links to the mods and I had a lot so be sure to check them out. I haven't seen any way to disable the cylinder deactivation, though.
Did you remove the air duct from inside the wheel well also?
No I didn't.
Cat back exhaust next?
I'm still trying to find one I like the sound of..
did you get a check engine light come on after instal cause i did
No I didn't. What code are you getting?
Am I missing the link for the intake?
Sorry, it's here: www.coldairinductions.com/shop/cold-air-inductions-products/cold-air-intakes/chevrolet/colorado/2015-2020-chevy-colorado-gmc-canyon-textured-black/
What's your mileage on the truck? Got my 19' in November going in for 1st service @ 4,750ish mileage saturday
It's at 11k currently.
Just wondering if you are asking gas mileage or miles on the odometer? I'd like to know if gas mileage improves?
Any updates on this intake? Seriously considering buying but torn between K & N and this CAI brand that you have
Its been absolutely perfect for me! No issues at all.
HorsePower Obsessed Awesome news, just ordered mine a few minutes ago! Thanks for the info!
Question: Do they ship to CA? I know the website says not for sale to CA but will they ship?
Performance chip - Do they help increase horse power?
None that I've seen, unfortunately.
Can you do a dyno on a tuned oem intake vs cai?
I'm still debating on tuning, if I do decide to get a tune I will do this, though.
hey , does your cold air intake sounds better than the one Matt installed on Matty's garage?
I would say it sounds about the same.
thanks for your reply, I'm thinking of buying one like yours because I also don't like how they look with out the stock cover
(I have a 2019 Colorado Red Line Edition)
I wonder if this will void my warranty.
No. Especially not if installed by GM.
what size tires are you running??? 17 wheels??? I have the stock 15s. im got a 2 inch level kit that I will be installing soon. but idk what kind of tire size to run yet. but im getting some Method wheels 701s
265/65/17.
Does the intake drone any? Especially around 2k rpm? I drive highways alot and dont want much drone.
I really only hear it under heavy acceleration. If you're cruising on the highway you won't hear it.
@@HorsePowerObsessed thank you!
You're welcome!
