My son just told me about the kid in his science class and how he misbehaved and distracted other kids. I asked him, “Oh he must have been called out for his bad behavior. You must be having a hard time putting up with him, right?”
I was so happy to use these expressions at the right time during the conversation with my son. Thank you!!❤

I love your courses. Im in the fine art business. I would appreciate a course on specific phrases that apply to describing art.
A 100%. What I would recommend is imaginative approach to such lessons. Try to think all the way, do not rush, engage your imagination fully to the limits. It's a demanding nevertheless rewarding method. Thank you teacher ❤
A perfect lesson, as always
Thank you Ma'am I got a perfect score.I was familiar already with other phrasal verbs but I still listened to your explanation and found out other meanings of the phrasal verbs. Thank you again.

Thank you so much for this fantastic lesson! Phrasal verbs are a great topic, so important to know them better.❤
Thank you my teacher 😊
Hi Lisa, you are a great teacher.
Greetings from Peru 🇵🇪
I noticed something interesting with the phrasal verb "come down with", ie :
1) come down with "a cold";
2) come down with "the flu"; and
3) come down with "covid".
Why is there an "a" or "the" before the noun or totally without anything before it sometimes? Is it wrong to say "come down with cold" or "come down with flu"?
Yes, if it's a name like "COVID", we don't use any article. The "flu" always needs "the". Articles rules are very irregular. : (
It is a very great lesson.
We know how important your lessons are for us (none native speakers).
Your work doesn't need any details or explanation and i am sure that it speaks for itself.
Thank you teacher. 0:21

Thanks for sharing this important english lesson.
Thank you so much for this fantastic lesson! Phrasal verbs are a great topic, so important to know them better.
Great video as always. In my workplace, when someone calls work to say that they can't work today; to let the manager know that he is going to be absent today, they say, "call out". For example, "Chris called out today. Can you stay later?". Or, "Hey, I haven't see John today, did he called out?". So "to call out" also means to be absent from work? Or is it just a regional thing here in the Northeast / Mid-Atlantic states (NJ)?
❤ thanks many

I have one question.
What's the difference between "to pull up" and "to pull in?" Are they interchangeable?
Great lesson, thanks Lisa! I would always use 'to find back-up, or could you be my back up', but I just have learnt a better option - could you fill in for me. 😊
Now I learned that the difference between "fill in" and "fill out".
Actually, my previous tutors told me they are the same meaning.
Always a great lesson.

The best teacher I have ever seen in my life
Fill In a form is still the preferred over fill out, which sounds like an Americanism. I didn't know you differentiated between filling in a blank and fill out a complete form
I have answered some of them, especially the ones I already know so I have to watch this video more than one time, as some of them are confusing and need more practice! I really had a delicious breakfast by watching and listening to this lesson, before having the real one! Teacher Lisa thanks from my ❤️!
That's great!

Thank you so much you're always the best
Great
Thank so much. Now there are so many good video on internet and lot of material we can get or bay them. But even We learn everything we get, we can still only get a passive language. I mean that we can read and we have higter lysstieningcomprehengsion, but we can not talk , we can not write so good. So I hope you make plattform and guide us and we have lof of chance to talk, open our mouth. There are so many courses, many teacher use AI and digital tool to product lot of material, it`s good. But it is not enough. What we need is to talk with each other. We need become a active speaker in English. If you just connect us from diffrent part of over the world.
Thank you, Lisa! I'm curious how many people here watch these videos many times like I do, and how people practice English. Do you have an English partner or a community?
