By the way, would you mind explaining which types of grammatical structure is used in "the most important being the" in "There have been many technological advances in recent years, the most important being the spread of the internet". I am not sure whether or not it is a reduced relative clause that I have learnt so far. Should we use " with" before "the most important"? Looking forward to your response. As opposed to the verb persuade, convince is not followed by an infinitive. it usually precedes a that close.
"Convince of sth" is also possible.
