      ​@@noorullhaqhaqparast9245 you should not reply on pdf file because it makes you become lazier. Instead, you should write each new word or new idioms on your notebook and practise pronouncing them. By doing so, you can practise your listening + speaking + pronunciation skills all at the same time, and you can remember the lesson for a long time.

    "Money doesn't grow on trees", and "Money doesn't fall from the sky" - both the expressions are used in my native language (Russian), too.

    yeah. Just like the question, I'm asking myself constantly .why they don't speak the way I've learned? so, I have an American friend and sometimes understand him "barely".thank you that you are trying to teach the real American language to learners.

    I'm from Karnataka, an Indian state; our mother tongue is Kannada,
    We say "ದುಡ್ಡು ಎನ್ ಮರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿಡಲ್ಲ"
    Same as "Money doesn't grow on trees"

    Great video. Thanks for your work. If I'm speaking to a native speaker and they use a word, expression or phrasal verb that I am not familiar with, I just ask them to explain what it means. And believe me when I say that some people find it hard to explain idioms and expressions. I live in England and there are lots of expressions in American English that are not very common here so we dont use them.

    In urdu language the expression " money doesn't grow on trees " is said like so
    " paisa darakhton par nahi ugta " which exactly the same as in english

    Money does not grow on trees, similar to this one, in turkish, we dont collect money from streets.

    In Myanmar/Burmese language, we have an expression which is similar to "money doesn't grow on trees": it is "you cannot pick money out of a hole".

    Thanks Lisa for a really useful lesson. In Russian we have the expression "Money doesn't grow on the trees", also we have expression "Money to the wind" it is very close to "Money down the drain".

    Instead of 'money does not grow on the tree" in Persian language we say "money is not the grass for bear".
