    I will be there in April viewing properties in the Abruzzo region for a vacation home. Not being a resident my biggest concern is making sure their is public transportation to get to other larger towns and airports. Cant wait to see all the beautiful areas.

    I enjoyed this video because it brought up different ideas to think about like the tax rate, comparing daily costs of certain items. It is nice to know that Abruzzo remains a great value, and the properties you show are varied in price from $35k to $160k Euro in most cases. Keep up the wonderful presentations!! Ciao

    I liked this video. I am currently 48 and am having an attorney get my citizenship. I plan on moving to Italy sometime between 55 and 60. I am studying Italian and hope to be fluent by the time I move there. Lots more to learn but pls keep up the vids. More on how to get a drivers license, healthcare, the tax system would be helpful. Love your work!!

    Very informative video. I am thinking about potentially moving to Abruzzo from the US (not for a Holiday). The tax rate is very important. I like to live where the lower tax will apply but very close to a large city for the nightlife and restaurants, etc. A commune, perhaps very close to Teramo or some other lively city.

    I really enjoyed your format on this video. I would love to have knowledge of some of the villages with less than20,000 people. Maybe you could do a bit of a walk around in some of these as potential places to look. Greetings from Australia.

      I think every property video I’ve watched - and I’ve watched a lot!- contains information about the town including number of inhabitants. I didn’t fully understand the significance of this (for the lower tax rate) but it’s quite a good guide to the amount of amenities you’ll find.

    Hi Rino - thank you for making this video. People need to know how things are, the realities and costs, and not just be swept away by beautiful scenery and charming little towns. For me a big consideration is always transport - where can you live or stay without needing a car, what's the public transport like, where can you get to etc? If you do need a car will you need to find a garage to store it if you are considering a holiday property rather than a permanent move?
    Thanks as always for your time and effort and for raising our awareness of Abruzzo.

      There are a number of places in the sweet spot with fewer than 20,000 residents but still good transport links, all the property videos I’ve watched contain that information to give you a good starting point.
      One thing to know is that you can’t buy a car unless you are a resident so having a garage may not be relevant if you’re only there on holiday. Hiring a car is the easiest way to get around and see the places that trains and buses don’t run to, which is a lot. I wouldn’t want to miss those gems because I relied on public transport.

    Hi, Rino! Yes, i think this format is great. It’s super helpful to cover many practical items that are likely to be invisible or hard to find out from elsewhere. A couple of topics that I’ve not seen well-covered are climate-related: All of Italy gets hot in the summers, of course, but where are areas that the humidity is also notably higher? Also, are there areas known to have better or worse amounts of allergens for people who suffer from seasonal allergies? Are there significant climate differences between the West and East sides of the middle and south sides of the country? One more question: is there a good website showing all active train service / stations? Thanks as always for your excellent content!!

    Thanks for the info. As you may be aware Canadians cannot purchase property in Italy as Canada has put a ban on foreigners purchasing property in Canada and Italy reciprocated. Italians are not the main problem for foreign ownership in Canada but Italy reciprocating has affected a much larger number of Canadians wanting to invest in Italy. Do you know if there is any business groups such as realtors or notaries pushing your government to review their policy

    • @paulaoh5306
      @paulaoh5306 4 місяці тому

      @helendennis7662 In general, I agree, but today we see only the ones that have survived, not the many that have fallen in the past and killed many people. You can find the seismic activity maps online. There are much safer areas, but they are more expensive, such as Puglia, Piedmont, Lombardy, and the coastlines in general. Part of Southern SIcily is good too, but then you're pretty far from everything. My feeling is that if you have a choice, go somewhere safer. There are bargains to be found all over Italy.
