- If you are planning to visit Pescara, in Abruzzo - Italy, here you’ll find the best tips on things to do in the city, with a sightseeing map on the most relevant points of interest to enjoy, so you can easily imagine and organize your trip: WHAT to see, HOW to plan your visit, and WHY to discover Pescara city.
In this video:
- WHAT are the major attractions that you can't go home without having seen, including Fontana la Nave (“Nave di Cascella” Fountain), Piazza della Rinascita (“Piazza Salotto”), Ponte del Mare, the Port, the Old Part of the Town (“Pescara Vecchia”), the main streets of Corso Umberto I, Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and Via Nicola Fabrizi, the best open-air restaurants and cycle paths (such as “Ciclabile dei Trabocchi”) and some destination ideas to explore the Apennine Mountains (such as the cave “Grotte del Cavallone”).
- Then, I’ll describe to you HOW to follow a daily-tour to better visit the city, showing you the points of interest that you can visit one after the other.
- Finally, we’ll discover WHY to visit Pescara and its attractions.
Pescara is also an exclusive tourism destination, on the Adriatic Sea in Abruzzo, but less than an hour away from the highest peaks of the Apennine Mountains.
Here you can find picturesque open-air restaurants, cycle paths all along the sea and so many events that make this city dynamic and fun.
So, which are the best things to do if you visit Pescara?
Enojoy its 20 kilometers of sandy beaches, full of well-organized resort.
- View from Ponte del Mare towards the mountains; "Ponte del mare" is one of the longest pedestrian and cycle bridge in Europe.
- Explore the Port
- Walk downtown: in Pescara there is a huge pedestrian area framed by Corso Umberto I, Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and Via Nicola Fabrizi. In these streets you’ll find the best fashion and food shops. Stop at a caffè to taste parrozzo or for a refreshing Spritz.
- Visit the Old Part of the Town: the old part of Pescara is basically two short parallel streets of typical south Italian houses.
Around Pescara you can ride “Ciclabile dei Trabocchi” is one of the most suggestive coastal path of Italy.
And you can visit “Grotte del Cavallone” an impressive cave located in a breathtaking landscape.

You're welcome. I visited Venice, Verona and Piovo de sacco in 2000, during a business trip. I wanna visit Pescara now, and see if I can find some relatives there. Thank's for that vidéo bros🙋

Wonderful video overview of Pescara. I really enjoyed it. Where in Pescara do you recommend living that has a Magnificent balcony view of the sea? and maybe even of the city? Thank you.

La chiesa di Sacro Cuore, in realtà, è stata iniziata nel 1886 e ultimata nel 1900. Nel complesso, però, è un bel video della nostra bella Pescara. Mi complimento con sincerità. 😇😇😇
Grazie Francesco, un caro saluto!
Hermoso pescara ❤❤
Thank you!
Hi Luigi, my girlfriend and I love your channel. We are travelling to Pescara at the end of November. What is the weather like in November? Do we need big coats and scarves? We went to Venice a few years ago in December and it was freezing.....
Hi How and thanks for the appreciation of my channel! These days it has been really hot, and think that there were also those who took a swim in the sea! Pescara is certainly warmer than Venice, but I suggest you bring a coat and a scarf anyway, the average temperatures are 16 ° / 6 ° in November and
13th / 3rd in December! See you at the next trip / video!
@@LuigisTravelTips Thanks for your reply Luigi! We look forward to your next video!
I visited late October last year and the weather was beautiful! I’m from Canada, so to me it was perfect. I only needed a light jacket, in the late evenings/nights.
I am going September for European Masters athletics Championship..
You're luky to go there ;)
Hello. Do I need a car to visit Pescara. Does Abruzzo have good public transportation for tourists. Thank you in advance. Salve 👋 e grazie per le informazioni.
Abruzzo has public transport typical of central Italy. If you use it to go between cities, you can take it; if you need it to go between villages, take into account a lower frequency and a longer travel time. If you want to visit its natural attractions such as mountains, rent a car. bye
@@LuigisTravelTips I will probably spend most of my time in Pescara. Is there life at night in Pescara such as cafes, bemars etcetera? I have been so interested in Abruzzo because of my interest in Umbria. Abruzzo looks like Umbria but with a beach. I would like to see mountains for sure.
@@Mongoose-ct6us I'm sorry I don't know such info, enjoy the mountains ;)
@@LuigisTravelTips Grazie per la tua onesta. Caoi
Angela Marie,
Ma Pescara non era in Italia ? Cosa c'entra fare im video in inglese?
It's a smart business decision by the creator - English rules the world, not Italiano. 😂
