    Very interesting! I have Italian friends in London who feel unable to return home while they still own assets in the UK. Isn’t Italy missing out on a stream of remittances, and with them, overseas pensions, which could be spent in Italy? All for the threat of a tax which will only keep away some really useful investors.

      We're not allowed to comment on the current politicians. Let's say it seems like Italy has become less attractive

    @studioRigo For those of us who already settled in Italy under the previous version of the impatriate worker scheme (70/90%), we're still taxed the under that original scheme, right? 😅

    Does Impatriati regime apply to non-italian spouses? Or is it only Italian citizens? (I am reffering specifically to 2022/23 year when we entered Italy) Also - Is there a calculator page you can recommend where one can just pop in the gross income to get the tax saved? I want to see if its worth pursuing this as I didnt apply for it when I first arrived but apparently I still can, although its....surprise...complicated...Thank you for any info.

    Thanks for the video Paulo! You warned me when we had a call a few months ago that the regime impatriata might change.
    Does it also now require you to commit to live in Itay for four years and not two years? And you'd need to return the savings if you left before the end of the fourth period?

      Correct, rules changed. And requirements are more strict now

    No thanks. I’ve been to Italy twice. Nice people but too expensive and too overrated. Some parts of Rome is worse than Detroit. No chance I would move there except connecting flights in Rome maybe. The whole Europe is going in the wrong direction.

      USA is becoming a third-world country, with murders/crime, no borders and political woke Biden corruption with no justice possible so look into your own lost country before...

    Thank you for your informative videos. If a tax resident of Italy qualifies for the 7% tax rate, does the wealth tax still apply?

    • @StudioRigo
      @StudioRigo  4 місяці тому +1

      Not at all, the 7 percent gives you a free pass from the wealth tax. Thank you for watching!

    Can you own a home in Italy but avoid being a tax resident providing you spend less than 6 months a year in the country?

    • @StudioRigo

      Of course! Staying away from the Anagrafe and paying the 9 percent tax

    I hope you will keep us expats update. Do any of these changes have to become laws before they are implemented. Small pronunciation error on your part Paolo. Change-ed does not exist in English. Its pronounced Change-d.

      Perfection does not exist, so thank you for pointing that out!! We will improve our poor English 💪 it's already been approved so it's a matter of time for Agenzia to come with precise instructions

    Could you please clarify the inpatriate rule? Transfer to Italian branch of a foreign company is ineligible? Please give a bit more detail. Many thanks for your great work.

      It depends. It may and may not work. An Italian contract is not mandatory.
