Hello all. I drive a 2014 honda civic and can’t seem to get the passenger side camera to work. Anything I might be missing or doing wrong?
Thanks for this video, looks great! I can't wait to install mine. One question.. With that duel USB from ICESPRING... do both ports work with android-auto/carplay? Or does one work for that and the other just for changing? Would be amazing if I could plug in my android and my wife plug in her iphone and they both transfer data so I could toggle between android auto and carplay... I know the DMH-2660NEX only has one USB export so probably just wishful thinking.
Hey, for the DMH-2660NEX it does only have one port so I only use one of the ports on the extender. I had the 2 ports when I was using the android head unit. If you are going to get the same deck then I would just go with a sing port extender. I believe Kenwood or JVC had a deck where you had to use a different ports for android and carplay use.

I may get this so my wife can still charge her phone while I use android auto.
For 10 bucks I'd say it's definitely worth getting.

I have 2400nex installed an when connecting Apple play has a low static sounds almost when you put a station with no music but it very low static sound an does it on radio when I touch buttons or raise an lower volume radio people said everything was installed just fine or at least that’s it’s a 2011 maxima
Hi! How did you get your factory reverse camera grid lines to show? I installed it the same way you did on my WRX 2016, but my factory reverse camera grid line do not show on my DMH-2660NEX. I played around with the camera settings on the Pioneer, but I couldn't get it work.
Hey, I don't think I did anything extra but I remember There is a option in the camera settings for parking assistance guidelines and it had the lines in there. If that doesn't work then there might be a different reverse camera module on the 2016 and 2019.
where did you get that magnetic piece you have your phone attached to? home made? I know that company makes the windshield ones, but I've never seen one like that
Hey, that seems to be the number one question I get. Its the panavise mount, I got it from subispeed but I think it's discontinued. There is a olm version that subispeed sells as well now
I have the pioneer dmh-2660nex I had my back up camera installed and the polarity is set to battery, I got curious and switched it to ground, after doing that, my stereo powered off and then powered back on and my clock reset, everything still works fine, I was juss wondering did I do any long term damage?
Hey, there should not be long term damage. The polarity just tells the radio when to turn on the camera. The way most people install reverse cameras is to tap the power wire on the reverse lights. Therefore the polarity needs to be set to Battery.
@@leugarage6327 ok thanks for the response, I was a little worried cause I noticed my radio sound doesn't sound as clear anymore after that happened and was thinking that had something to do with it , but I was told that I need to replace my speakers in the past so maybe that's the problem.
Where did you get the shiny frame? Matches the shiny pioneer exterior

I bought this radio for my Kia Optima. I bought a i datalink steer wheel harness too. Would I need another cable to use my back up camera or am I good with what I got?
Hey, I'm not familiar with the kia Optima wiring harnesses. Check Crutchfield as they sell harnesses for all cars, if a separate harness is needed for the backup camera, they would have it listed.
I installed this but the stereo turns off and restarts when I go from accessory mode to startup. Also, have to physically connect to Bluetooth everytime I turn the stereo on. Is this normal? I can't find anything about this and I don't know if its an issue with my wiring or not.
Hey, What vehicle did you install it into, did you use harnesses to connect the Deck to the factory wiring? Sounds like a defect in the radio if you have to connect to Bluetooth everytime manually. Or the stereo is losing power and its memory when you turn off the car, make sure the power and accessory wires are connected properly.
I have a 2015 sti with HARMON KARDON sound will this work with this sound system
Hey, this won't work as the harness on the Harmon Kardon system is different. You will need to do some digging to see if there any harness kits for the Harmon kardon system.
Does this have the Pandora app like it does Spotify that you demonstrated? I can't seem to find it anywhere on any review. Everyone always shows Spotify.. I want to upgrade my DMH-1500NEX, but I don't want to lose the Pandora feature I have currently.
Yes it does,plus it would have all Apps associated with andriod auto or Apple car play
@@leugarage6327 No I don't mean the associated apps with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. On the Pioneer model before it had a separate Spotify app and a separate Pandora app. I noticed that on the screen you can see the Spotify app and/or the drop-down but I was wondering if there was a separate Pandora that is the same thing.
Hey, Pandora is not part of the main menu, only Spotify. The only way to use Pandora on this radio is by using the andriod auto or carplay feature
@@leugarage6327 awesome Thank you so much for checking! I really appreciate it. I wanted to upgrade my current Pioneer DMH 1500 NEX for this one because I love how the screen looks but not having Pandora unfortunately isn't going to work. Cause I don't always plug my phone in for Android Auto.

I'm certain this is a dumb question, but does this unit allow you to cycle through NON-Android-Auto audio sources (radio, Sirius XM, etc.) with use of the steering wheel controls WITHOUT exiting Navigation/Android Auto? I expect to have Google Maps up most of the time (which seems like it requires Android Auto to be running?), but still want to be able to control the radio without having to exit the Navigation screen to do so.
Hey, not a dumb question at all, I have used the radio while using Google maps and you can control it with the steering wheel controls without exiting the map
@@leugarage6327 Thanks - a few other places have told me that this isn't possible. That you can LISTEN to the radio while Android Auto/Maps is up, but to do anything more (switch from FM to Sirius for example) you have to first exit out of the map using the touchscreen controls. I'm getting conflicting answers so not sure what's correct.
You have backup camera. Does it have availability for turn signal cameras?
Hey, it does not have birds eye veiw for multiple cameras, it can do a reverse camera and one more video in signal so you could have one more camera installed but that's it

Is the USB port on the back of the unit capable of fast charging your phone when it's connected and doing Android auto? I know that the unit comes with just 1 USB cable so how did you get it to work with a USB charger?
Hey, when you plug a phone in through the USB, it will automatically charge the phone while still being used for Android auto or carplay if you have a iPhone. It does not do fast charge but it will charge the phone.

I was in a rental last month. A Kia on an OEM radio, it's quite possible the KIA usb port has just enough power for a trickle charge.
I was running Waze and SXM app over AA via usb. The battery level never really went down, but never really charged either. It seemed like it was a kinda break even. IOW, if I started a drive at lets say 70% phone battery, the level pretty much stayed at 70%, occasionally a small gain.

@@tomkansora4595 hey, I guess it could be dependent on the phone also. this does not support fast charge but it is better than a trickle charge. I have had it charge the phone while using Android auto on long runs, if you think it’s not keeping up then I would close any apps open on the phone that is not being used.
Dude, no one ever talks about the track time elapsed and track time remaining nor do they talk about whether or not you can fast forward a track by touching the trackbar... Can you confirm yay or nay on any of this for me, good sir?
Hey, so I just tested it and you cannot slide the track bar to fast forward. You can hold down the next track button and it will jump 5 seconds ahead. I guess you can do that multiple times to fast forward but that would be annoying.

Hey, nahhh, the only thing I kinda miss from the original headunit is the volume knob but I use the steering wheel controls all the time so it's not a big deal
How do you connect to carplay
Hey, you just plug in your iPhone with the iPhone cable and it picks it up automatically.
How do you apply a bypass to watch UA-cam videos while driving
Hey, in the past you could run a ground wire to a switch and that would do the trick but I don't think that works any more, I belive they sell a bypass that would need to be wired in but you will need to do some research to see what bypasses work for this deck.
You can just buy the 3 wire bypass for Pioneer double dins which is super easy to do. There's a few videos on here to show you as well.

Hey, weblink basically is an app that allows you to watch UA-cam and yelp on the deck. I don't personally use it as I hear it's pretty laggy. There are reviews on it on UA-cam but I can't speak to it much as I don't use it.
What is that indash mount?

Hey, no white noise or whining sounds. Typically when you get those it's a grounding issue

Hey, yeah I didn't download the weblink app on my phone cause I didn't care for it. Weblink allows you to watch UA-cam on the deck and use other apps but from the reviews I saw...it looked buggy and slow so I didn't even bother with it.
Do they have this radio with the buttons on the right instead? Lol cars in my country are right drive.
Hey, I doubt they do with this model but you might want to check on Pioneers website to see what they offer in your region.

Hey guys, I don't think HD radio is supported in my country. Does this mean the radio in general won't work for me? Or will thw stereo still play standard non HD radio ?
@@lilmario0 typically if you don't get hd radio stations then it will only pick up standard radio stations. Can't really comment on how Int'l radio signals work with regards to this deck.
How do you use ALEXA?
Hey, I don't use Alexa in the car so not 100% sure but I belive there is a option in the settings to turn it on and of course your phone would need to be connected
Can you use youtube?
Hey, UA-cam music works, if you want to look at UA-cam videos, you would need to use the weblink. I don't use this feature but there are videos on UA-cam about how to use it.
Can't watch videos. But hey, we are going to show you album, artist pictures and inf to look at. Won't be long you will be seeing ads on there.
Very true...technically you can watch UA-cam on it but you need to run the parking brake bypass
This stereo has a horrible audio to video delay.
