Glad to see young men working on their cars...installing head units is such an easy and economical way to upgrade your car....and with UA-cam, now-a-day...sky is the limit for all types of mods. Hope more people realize how great it is to mod!! DIY is where is at!!
So true. UA-cam and crutchfield.com helped me save money by installing my own car speakers and head unit on my own. It is such a great learning curve about car audio installation.
I also have a 350Z with a Bose system. Is everything working, including the subwoofer? What kind of harness are you using? Crutchfield says it needs a PAC interface and doesn't use the RCA jacks at all
no issues! its not perfect, it ca be a little glitchy but thats rarely. its honestly the best mod ive done since it makes the driving experience SO MUCH BETTER! if your budget allows, get an aftermarket amp to power the oem bose speakers and the sound system sounds so much better! cheers!
Ay man im trying to install a pioner 1700NEX, by any chance do you have video of the entire wire soldering and connection process. Slightly confused and intimidated by all the wires and instructions in manual were a little vague
Hey, I’ve got a aftermarket head unit. That’s loud!! But I wanna know how loud is this head unit? Like is it one of those that wouldn’t go as loud? Or is it loud loud.
Hey just wondering if you can still use back speakers with this head unit? I was trying to put one on mine but apprently you need an extra wire thing to connect back speakers
@@aikonjapan I was just checking... I have the same unit coming tomorrow with a dash kit. I imagine it looks a lot cleaner... Helpful vid though... thanks.
I tried just grounding the handy, bit u need to sometimes release and engage it sometimes to access some features and what not. So i just installed it as the instructions stated
@@robb5289 there is a switch thing where the hand break handle touches when you have it all the way up. Its what gives a signal when for the light on the dash come on when u have it up If that makes sense haha, hard to explain
Overall, nice head unit. Contemplating to buy it since my Pioneer DMH-1500NEX is giving me music app stopping problems and it came brand new. It is too bad that car installers don’t know if there are flaws with the head units. It looks like I got a Pioneer lemon instead of a working Pioneer DMH-1500NEX.
Just get an fm radio adapter. Find an empty radio station and tune it to that specific frequency. Connect your phone to the adaptor via Bluetooth and you can listen to your own music
This video was posted in 2020, and my boy here was rockin a cassette aux. lawd.
Its all i had okay!! 😂😂 u right tho, idk how i managed with that shit! 😂
It's 2022 and I still am.. Walmart has the cassette aux with Bluetooth.

did you use an adapter to install for your dash and was there a trim piece? it looks like there is none
Yes that particular piece was on back order. After it came in it was a simple install. It looks much cleaner too

That "no comment" hahaha!
It happens all the time, only this time i put it in the video😂
Did you have any problems installing it at all?
No issues at all! Up to now!
Did you make a good EQ profile for the Bose speakers?
did you have to do a parking brake bypass?

Where did u get it and how much
I got it at a local audio shop called brian reimer here in wpg. It was around 450-500$

There is, its a separate wire that came with the head unit.

Don’t be like this guy and Actually disconnect your battery so that you don’t blow any fuses or cause any electrical damage

It doesn’t fit :/
Mine did??
