- Two important changes to the chemistry of the Disneyland Resort this week. First, the discounted ticket is in effect and those guests are in the park. Second, the changes to the DAS system are in effect as well, and we'll want to see how, if at all, those changes are effecting stand by wait times. We go to every land, check in on every attraction to give you the up to date scoop on the park. It's our State of Disneyland report.
Book your Disneyland, Disney World, or any other theme park vacation with our partners at GetAwayToday. Single and Multi day tickets too (they're refundable with GetAwayToday).

Your play-by-play on that Rise line was reminiscent of the famous Hindenburg radio broadcast.
So, essentially, they robbed from the DAS users (I am not one) and handed those passes to the Resort guests. Not a fair move in my view.
New genie changes are even more confusing why not just bring maxpass back. It was the best
Hi! I was there on Monday. We ended up going back to the hotel from 1pm-4pm. It was too hot. I think the heat was messing with the wait times as well. It was busier on Monday than it was over the weekend. We sure noticed more crowds!
Went to Disneyland last week, thanks for all your helps and tips, it was nice to be able to look at some lines of rides and know if they were a good to go or not. It made our trip so much more enjoyable.
When we rope dropped Space Mountain; they had us go to the right, around the theater and then up the ramp.
At about 3:21, kid crying "I can't carry all this suff!". I about did a spit-take. 😂
Me every time I go to DLR!
Reminds me of 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs'. "i don't understand fishing metaphors!"
Is it the Haunted Mansion + Critter Country closures keeping people away? At least some people, for sure.
Hot days at Disney these past few days, phew 🥵! Thank you so much for keeping up with these updates, David. I always look forward to them. I've been out of town so haven't been to the parks for a couple of weeks. I'm excited for The Haunted Mansion; got my reservations already for opening day and next day. Fingers crossed I can get in the queue! Awww, the kid in the background that said they couldn't hold all the stuff, lol! And super cool Casey Junior running 2 trains!!! 🤗
Have a question you might be able to answer. I’m 75 and am going with my 3 grandkids 11, 7, 5 yrs old for their first time to Disneyland. I’ve ordered a scooter thingy since I’m very heat and sun sensitive. I ordered a shade canopy but I’m worried it’s not allowed in the Disneyland park as I see no scooters with shade canopies. Should I alter my scooter rental to delete the shade canopy? Thank you very much for your help 🎉
I used DAS to come back to Disneyland. Because of my Disability I cant be in a long line so a lot of times I could not ride because of the lighting lane being to long. I miss the old days were we could go in the exit . So I gave up my pass and don't go .
All-American College Band. Ran from ‘72-‘22 here at DL. I was in ‘86. Best summer job EVER! Current DL Band is pretty much the same, and several members were also in AACB. College band used to play a sit down jazz set at Carnation.
We absolutely LOVED the AACB shows, especially the sit down shows with guests and with a diverse playlist.
Thanks for making the magic for us in 1986!!!
Looks like a beautiful day. The crowds look manageable 😅 the lighting lane for Rise of the Resistance was insane
Even as someone who’s not a diehard fan of haunted mansion it seems odd that the debut of the new queue is going to be with the holiday overlay. I love the holiday version but I wish it would reopen as the original for a month or so before transforming
I’m sure it has to do with opening/closing the attraction. If they removed what is left of the haunted mansion holiday overlay inside the attraction for a month, they would need to close it again for 2 weeks to reinstall the set pieces. All while the queue is still being worked. So, I think logically, it has to do with the time they want to spend on opening the haunted mansion. Disneyland probably wants to open the attraction while they still have the overlay installed in there because it’s easier. 🤷🏻♂️
That Rise Lightning Lane wait is INSANE!! Crazy! 🤬
Agreed! Disneyland is not a cool place to go anymore.
@@ArtThibertInksagree. Sadly, I really don’t think Disney execs care about the guest experience. Many CM’s are great, but the executive level has forgotten where their salaries come from.
@@ArtThibertInksit is sad. Disney sucks now. 😢
One long line and you're a victim! 😂😂😂
We were there last week and no lighting lane wait on rise!!
We always pre register for DAS. We set a reminder 30 days out and plan to basically do nothing else but sit online for that day. Yes, it’s annoying to spend one to two days depending on if they get to you the first try, but to not have to wait and waste time at the park is crucial for us. You also get to pre register for a select ride each day. It may be a pain, but we can sit and wait online far easier than we can stand and wait when they just want to get into the park and enjoy the day.
Just letting you know, the DAS pre-registration system has changed. I did a video call with my son two weeks ago and was surprised to find out we could pre-register for two attractions. I told the CM that I thought that was no longer offered, and he said that starting the next day (June 19) was when the new process was being initiated and that the pre-selections would no longer be offered once the new system is in place.
Are they working on the Adventureland Bathrooms? They've been doing Refurbishing for months... 10:47
We were there this weekend (6/21-6/23) for our wedding anniversary and even though we already had Sat and Sunday booked, we decided at like 12pm on Friday that we wanted to go Friday night as well and were able to get tickets. Matterhorn was a 10 min wait and on Sat when we got there at like 10, Indiana Jones was a 15 min wait
Was pretty toasty doing 20K steps a day this past Fri-Sunday. Fri and Sat were busy, but not atrocious, and Sunday was noticeably less busy.
When the paid for "q" is an a half hour long, why would Disney let people in the stand by line? Just close the "Q". Closing the "q"" is hard on the marks standing in the heat (3) hours is mark abusive.
What’s with the overuse of the incorrect term “Q” friend?
@@WindowtotheMagic Maybe he's a big fan of Star Trek 🤣
I went on Sunday June 23rd and crowds were extremely light it was super nice!
In this video, I head dave say something that I never heard him say, in over 10 years. He said seeing those ppl in line made him stressed when they had no chance in stand-by at rise. I two have felt stressed at the park in the most recent years and I never have had that feeling before. I go there to get away from it.
'Heard'
DAS- I know lot of mobility ppl getting kicked out are hot.
What if there was a tier? Like you can’t get the line access but your wheelchair/EV is a discounted price.
this was my question, because if my mom goes she gets a wheelchair because usually she uses a walker everywhere, but at disneyland that is too much walking, so hence the wheelchair, but we do not need a DAS pass for that because she waits in line with us or if it is not wheelchair friendly they have a separate line for that. I have waiting in those lines and they are not short, and sometimes I think just as long for stand by, so are people trying to get DAS pass for just mobility? or is it something else Disney is looking for since I have never needed to get a pass if we had a wheelchair...
You should have a million subs! Good job as always.
I've watched some of your content today and decided to subscribe because this is great information! You always give the best information! ❤
I wonder how many of those people in the paid lightning lane or rise of the resistance realize that it is the line for the paid lightning lane and not the standby line. I bet at least 25% of them are confused.
hey I posted before whats the crowd like on Pirate island and the Columbia and the Mark Twain and the Canoes?
I need you to be in Disney tomorrow 🙏
Surprised you didn’t discuss the rebranding of Genie+ to Lightning Lane Multipass in late July…
this was shot before that news broke.
Please please tell us where we can buy that Mr Toad shirt.????????? 😊
Maybe Etsy? 🤷🏼♂️
Let's see, if they close the path by the Haunted Mansion/Tiana's Bayou Adventure/Hungry Bear, where would you go? FWIW, here's my recommendation. After viewing POTC, you would go by the Mark Twain/Columbia, by Big Thunder Mountain through the Galaxy's Edge entrance over in the middle, then you will have to turn left along the back side of Galaxy's Edge to ROTR. Then you can pick up your normal route, have a Tatooine Sunset, go to Smuggler's Run and then go to Fantasyland. Instead of ending the program at Big Thunder, you will then end your program at the Partners Statue. That would be a fitting end.
How come you don't ride the Davey Crocket canoes?
I believe the canoes are currently closed because of the Critter Country renovations
I got Blue Sky ideas for replacements at Disney California Adventure I know this is gonna be a controversial opinion but i think closing down Muppet Vision 3-D was a big mistake because now Disneyland has no Muppets attraction but I think they should retheme the Paradise Gardens area with The Muppets The Little Mermaid attraction will stay because that is a great ride and I love it but the other attractions near it would close the Golden Zephyr will be rethemed to Pigs in Space from The Muppet Show, Jumpin Jellyfish will be Themed to Hot airballoons themed to Kermit the Frog taken from The Great Muppet Caper, Goofy's Sky School will be Rethemed to The Great Gonzo's StuntMadness and instead of a Airplanes guests will ride on the Plunger car from the Muppet Movie and the attraction takes place in The Great Gonzo's StuntShow Madness and for his 3rd act he invited you the guests on his Plunger Car the beginning of the ride you see Gonzo in his cannon being launched in the sky and then your car jumps though a Fire hoop (Which is not a fire Hoop it's just a hoop painted orange but it glows in the Dark at Night), a circular Saw, and at the end you see Gonzo on his Motorcycle in a slingshow and at the end he crashing himself and the motorcycle on the Stunt show Building and you see his cutout and his Motorcycle on the Building which is a tribute Muppet Vision 3-D and then at the end you unload from the vehicle and exit safety. The pizza place near by will be rethemed to PizzaRizzo from Disney World, and lastly The Silly Symphony Swings will be rethemed to the Electric Mayhem and will be titled The Eletric Mayhem: RockSwings my 2nd other idea is Paradise Gardens attractions like Goofy's Sky School, Golden Zephyr, Jumpin Jellyfish, and Silly Symphony Swings will be demolished for a FreeGuy Land the Land will take place in FreeCity from the Film and the main ride will take rider on a adventure through FreeCity and the attraction will use the same Ride system technology from The Simpsons Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood and Florida but instead of Rollercoaster vehicles its the Car that Ryan Reynolds drives in the film the land will contain the Coffee shop and Bubble Gum ice cream stand as seen from the film and the land will sell the Blue Lightsaber and Captain America Shield seen from the film also ok now my 3rd idea is The Hyperion Theater and Stage 12 will be demolished for a ride based on Zootopia the ride will use the same ride system technology used in Despicable Me Minion Mayhem at Universal Studios Hollywood and Florida, my 4th idea is Stage 17 will be a Lucasfilm Restaurant and Mickey's philharmagic will stay but for a limited time Muppet Vision 3-D should come back maybe for the 25th anniversary of Disney California Adventure
Howdy!
You got ‘genius in your 🤔🍿🎭🎈
I agree Dave, it takes time for people to forget and lower their standards of what is good. We just need to give Disneyland time and accept what they serve us.
completely twisting the point I was making, but you go on.
Bwahaha! Love this interpretation!
I no longer qualify since my disability is physical and not autism. That leaves me out from going to Disneyland
Physical...can you stand and walk in a Disneyland visit without pain or lack of mobility?
That’s a bummer. Which theme park will you be visiting instead?
@@davidculver5446 no I can’t. Also if I get overheated I will either faint or have spontaneous diarrhea and won’t have time to find a cast member so I won’t lose my spot in line. This is just a couple of side effects from my illness.
@@WindowtotheMagic not sure. Probably Universal.
If no you are disabled. as to the park requirements you cannot meet them you require an accomodation
Good point about the changes to the DAS system are making those who need it do exactly what many of the can't do (stand in extended lines). But, I'm hoping the conversation about the impact of taking DAS users out of Lightning Lane was meant to show that it wouldn't have that much of an impact. It almost sounded like you were saying that DAS guests are what is causing those long LL lines.
I’m not. I’m using it as a means to determine if the effect was measurable. The action being taken is by Disney is due to the perceived abuse by Disney. If there is abuse, how much is it impacting regular guests?
This is also why it’s such a difficult subject to talk about, because no matter what is said, people will still try to judge you.
@@FreshBakedDisneyyou won’t see it yet as DL gave out DAS under old rules up to the day prior and they last 30 days. Will be another month
@@FreshBakedDisneyIve been watching your videos for years and anyone who knows you knows your a kind human who is not discriminating against anyone. I am disabled and a former DAS user, and have found the conversation around it to be a mine field. Imo it is disappointing and I would love if you could verify your need for the pass like universal does, but I also understand its a private company and they have a right to change policy. Maybe you could have disabled guest on your channel to help deal with this topic? Because id personally love to head more
You proved It Disney sucks😊
Hey… it’s our little Ray of sunshine. Your positivity is so infectious! How you been, little guy?
I cant understand the people who want disneyland to never change and just always be the same. Like you'd rather the park rot and decay than not be able to ride a few rides for a year?
who said anything about rot and decay?
They aren’t referring to upkeep… it’s the nostalgia of keeping it the same
I'm glad they changed the name, my Genie 🧞♂️ friends were offended by the use of the name Genie+ 😂
Yeah, but now my Multi Pass friends are all up in arms. 😂
I am super supportive of legitimate DAS use . But I have seen it abused , which detracts from the use of those who really qualify and other guests alike .
You wont be able to tell the effect on DAS changes yet. A lot of people at the parks till mid July will have more than likely applied using the old system. Starting mid July youll be able to see the true effect of stricter DAS rules on Lightning Lane and standby lane.
Disney is offering two different 3-day discounted tickets: Monday-Thursday for $249 and Monday-Sunday for $299. Only $50 more for any day and still way cheaper than regular tickets.
Yeah worth it for sunday
Miss the parks, the little kid at the beginning sounds like me " I can't carry all this stuff" lol.
1:02 Hey David, Disney is actually selling a 3-Day (Monday-Sunday) discounted ticket also. The price is slightly higher but still at a discounted price!
I was going to say the same thing. I’ve been price comparing and trying to make a cheap trip to convince my husband we should go 😂
They are. So, if you go to the Disneyland website, you will see the 3 day Monday-Thursday ticket and the 3 day Monday-Sunday ticket.👍🏻
Thank you so much for mentioning this!! I didn't realize that the ticket discount applied to weekend tickets as well and I have a trip set up in July over a weekend for my family and was able to apply that discount and save more than $400! Much appreciated!!
@@alisonhenry2397 so glad that I was able to help!
I came to say the same thing!
I got a three day park hopper cheaper than my two day park hopper! Thursday -Sunday
The Disneyland Railroad is now on the refurb calendar, so it is going to get even worse...
And space mountain 😅
0:30 I met fresh baked right after he recorded this scene your my favorite UA-camr and I watch all your videos for when I go to Disneyland! Thank you so much FreshBaked
I honestly don't think Disney is going to do much about the DAS system it is to much of a potential legal headache. I think they plan on making it slightly harder to get or slightly more annoying to obtain (moving it out of Town Hall) while making the punishment extremely severe for people who abuse the system. I believe it to be a shell game that Disney is hoping it fixes itself. They have to know how abused it is and by making the consequence a perma ban I believe they are hoping it addresses all the issues by the threat without them physically stepping in to monitor DAS guests. Does anyone honestly believe that they will be monitoring specific guests to make sure they aren't lying during the interview? Are CM going to be keeping and eye on DAS participants and reporting the people who 'might' be abusing it. Absotely not. I'd put a lot of money on it being smoke and mirrors that Disney is just crossing their fingers that people all the sudden stop busing the DAS program under the new threat of a perma ban.
My first thought was lawsuit

FRESHBAKED is DISNEYLAND!
So jeluos that David almost lives at the park.... Great Channel!!
I secretly look on Redfin for a second home near Disneyland....
I'm afraid my Magic Key will be useless now with the new DAS rules. I can walk, but must rest. I cannot stand in long queues, and am overly sensitive to noise so I won't have another stroke. ( I wear ear plugs). I qualify at Universal with my Drs letter, but am afraid I wont at Disney.

Just noticed. Congrats on 200k!
my child has severe Autism.. one of the few joys in his life is visiting Disneyland once a year.. he watches youtube videos all year.. its how he shows happines... the DAS process has always been heartbreaking for me as his father.. having to justify his needs to whomever was at the city hall counter.. IDK what the new process will be like.. but I hope he doesn't suffer the disappointment of a lifetime.. since we really cannot visit the parks if my child is not able to "return to entrance" after waiting the time walking and walking... pray for us we have our interview with disneyland in 3 weeks.
As an adult with autism I'm all in support of the DAS changes to avoid abuse of the system. Most people with autism shouldn't be using DAS anyways, we aren't who it's for. Also do you know how many times in my life I've had to justify and prove my autism? Better you get used to it
@@slowazzd2165 I dont have autism... my child does... he is not connected to reality.. is in diapers and will not care.. he cant talk.. he wont notice.. if he cant get DAS we cant go. sorry we bother you.
IMO just because someone doesn’t want to wait in line doesn’t mean they can’t. Autism can be so many different spectrums and levels; just someone saying autism shouldn’t automatically count for free line cut passes. This is one of the things that has been used to abuse the system and overload it, which causes more lines for everyone else to deal with. We shouldn’t have to wait in longer lines because the DAS system is being abused. Justifying a disability isn’t too much to ask for the benefits received once granted. A comparison is how the “service animal” stuff has been abused to include emotional support animals and anything anyone wants to say. Sometimes a check and balance system is the only way to prevent the frauds. And I commend you and your son for getting through life and stuff. I have a nephew with autism and another that’s severely disabled in walking crutches.
@@slowazzd2165 Oh, and who IS it for exactly. Please give us your medical expertise.
@@mattm7377 Um, sweetie, it is NON DISABLED people who are abusing it, not disabled people. Stop being ableist.
The discounted prices are valid on Friday to Sunday too. It’s just a higher price. I bought those tickets and we are going on Saturday.
Lightning lane is a joke
Actually they do not want the park to be packed. NORMAL is good it makes them way more money than busy. Normal means that people are walking around and not in lines thus hungrier and happier. Tired parents buy way more bubble wands for their tired kids. Tired happy families buy way more food too.
Man I wish I was ther!!! It’s 108 here in Tucson Arizona

Great state of Disneyland report as always, David! I enjoy hearing your commentary on the queues and what to look for when entering the queue. It’s extremely helpful and I love the level of details! Thank you, David! Fresh Baked!👍🏻👍🏻😊😊
The cast member in galaxy edge 😂😂
Man I miss going to Disney
Congratulations on 200K. Woohoo🎉🥳👏🏽
I was in DL on that day. Rise was down until about 1pm. Everyone that bought a $LL on that day was now using their $LL FROM 1pm to 10pm. I bought a $LL got in the LL line about 7pm and LL took about 30 mins to the end of the ride.
If this was filmed on Monday 6/24 - we were there and in the LL queue for rise. It was wild! The ride had been down all day, so everyone (like us) who purchased the ILL all ran once it opened. It took us 45 mins to get thru the LL alone, I can’t imagine how long it took folks in standby. Was a wild day!
Used alot of your advice on our trip last may! Thank you so much for these videos! They allow us that only can visit once a year to become "experts" on Disneyland. Oh an genie+(soon to be lightning lane multi-pass) is a must. We used it everyday for our 5 day visit and saved us more wait time than we ever imagined! Oh and thanks for the get-away-today discount!!!
Congrats on 200k🎉🎉🎉
I need to research it more but wouldn’t Disneyland just open up more lighting lane spots if they cut DAS passes? So still let in 100 people, but 80 lightning and 20 DAS? Isn’t the function to earn Disneyland the most money?
Mr. Fresh-Is your look inspired by 1.Mary Poppins....2. Mr. Toad...or 3. The Rescuers?
I went the whole entire video hoping to see the rest of your shirt. All I caught was Mr Toad’s…what does the rest say?? That’s one of my absolute favorite attractions and a must do whenever I’m in the park. Love your content. Even if I didn’t get to see the rest of your shirt.
Do you know why the Disneyland Railroad is closing for refurbishment in August?
Disneyland reopened March 2021 because we went in July 2021.
I am wondering how many of the reduced DAS guests just went to genie plus which would make it even less of an impact.
The discounted tickets do work weekends, it’s just slightly higher cost
So wats the newst update on the new DAS program sir dave??? were playn on goin to the park in Sept so dad has 2 be on top of things lol
omg me and my friends in the background!! 41:38 😭😭
You can use discounted tickets on weekends - it’s just a bit more
Congrats on 200k subs!
I think the filming was for "The Golden Bachelorette"
If you buy a ticket do you still have to make a reservation?
Yes
To help clarify - before you buy the ticket on the website, you also confirm reservation for the day. When we bought the 3-day pass, we picked each day and park then checked out after it's all confirmed. However, you can adjust the days and reservations later if needed.
Hey Fresh Baked!!
Ok…sorry, I give up… WHAT is “DAS” supposed to mean?
Disability Access Service
David, I believe Disney should consider offering a % discount on single day tickets to Enchant and Imagine key holders, is that a possibility ?
Yes, they give you a percentage discount on tickets. That’s what a Magic key is…
In the past they had AP discounted tickets for a blocked day… If I recall correctly $50.00. That price was then doubled to $99.00. That was eventually stopped and all tickets for blocked days full price…
Construction update on Tianas?
Aren’t fireworks every night in July?!
They do a different and separate show for the actual 4th of july. regular show on 3rd and 5th.
My last trip to Disney/DCA was six months ago, and I was extremely frustrated by the number of people abusing the DAS system and cutting in line with parties of 8+.
I'm happy to see that Disney has now addressed this issue. My nephew, who is on the spectrum, still qualifies for DAS, but it was becoming overwhelming, especially with so many individuals openly admitting they don't have any real disabilities.
Im going on the 30th and 1st but i cant get the 29th on my reservation. Still trying wish me luck
Keep trying… every evening between 9pm and midnight pacific time. You’ll get it.
Thanks will do@@WindowtotheMagic
No, I miss the College Band. that was a GREAT opportunity for young musicians, so pretending like no one cares about it because they're not actively talking to YOU about it. The usual Disneyland Band is always great, but that doesn't mean the lack of the College Band isn't a problem.
The band playing today is nearly the same at the college band. I was referring to the old dinseyland band that this band replaced.
I was confused by how he phrased it, at first, too…
Then I realized that David was saying that he doesn’t miss the band that used to do noon concerts at the flag pole and had members who had been there for decades. He considers the new band (younger, less expensive cast) that copied the AACB style and set list to be just as good.
This is most likely how MOST Disneyland guests feel and why Disneyland routinely gets rid of the classic entertainment for newer, less expensive versions.
It almost sounds like you’re telling what I’m supposed to like. Or that liking the new band means I don’t like the old band. How perfectly internet of you.
Can’t wait to be there in less than a week!
1:00:20 This. It infuriates me how little urgency non-Disney parks ride operators are at loading ride vehicles, especially coasters. Six Flags Magic Mountain is the worst. They take 5 minutes to unload/load/dispatch a train.
One memorie that really made my heart warm was the last time I went to Disney Land, and my mom, dad, and brother were early, so excited, they let us open the park, and let us be the first people onto the park! ❤ A memory I will never forget! I really wish I could go again sometime, but that may not happen for a while. When we opened the park, the last time we went, I was like 5 years old, now I am a teenager hoping to someday go back with my family! ❤
Went to Disneyland last Tuesday the 25th... hot mess! Pirates was down for the first couple hours, Peter Pan kept having technical difficulties, Resistance was not working....my kids first time, it was jus ok
Now Cali Adventure was super fun! So much more organized. More shade to sit 🙌🏻. Better food! DCA is the way to go .....idk if I'll go back to Disney?
Downtown Disney was fun as well, music, food was good....pretty chill
Disneyland reopened Aug 2021 with severe capacity limits etc. But Feb 2022 they left the mandate of chin diapers...so March 2022 might've been your first visit back after *that*...our first visit back after useless lockdowns was Sept 2022....🏰
"HANUS!!" LOL such a 80s term but so spot on for that rise cue!

Going to Disneyland mid August. I'm starting to see ride closures of Disneyland Railroad and Space Mountain showing starting Aug 4th and on for what dates I can see so far. (9th so far). Any idea what's going on and if I should assume the week of the 18th I'm not going to be enjoying these attractions?
I'm not fully knowledgeable on Lightning Lane. If you purchase an Individual LL and when you arrive at the time given, the line is very long, can you "postpone" or change your window? How many times can you do this? Any tips that isn't commonly known?
Have you seen the TikTok of the girl with severe disabilities that got DENIED DAS ? I was shocked. I fear for legit people that need this system.
Have you factored in that those of us not getting the DAS anymore will be added into the standby queue? Not being a math person, it sounds like Lighting Lane could speed up OR we will buy Genie+ and not much will change.
