Thank you Jon for all the effort you have put in, making these for us. Since 2017, I have dreamed of going to New York, but in 2018 we moved to Australia from Michigan, so that dream started to fade. However, since COVID is in the past, we are going this Christmas. Anyways, thanks Jon for everything! My day is always better when you upload!

I have been to New York during summer vacation with my. All in all New York is of course a stunning City. But when you go theyre as a tourist, what travel platforms dont tell you is that New York is far away from perfect. When i got theyre I was shocked. The street of our hotel is not one of the busiest ones and as soon as you get away from the main streets, you get to experiense the bad side of New York to. Every 100 meters or so you see people laying on the Street. Someone of them are begging others just "accept" theyre faith. From day one I felt so unconfortable. I mean it cant be true that this is suppost to be normal. What shocked me even more is that homeless people dont make up the higher amount of people in the city and still nobody even cares. People just ignore them. Everybody is busy theyre. But the homeless people are even present on the biggest streets with probaly thousands of people walking past them every day. And still not much people care. All the people around me had no eye for them and I felt like i am the only one who even cares. I felt like I had to do something. Even small things can make a change. For example we homeless people near our street holding the door of a seven eleven shop. One time we gave one of them a bit. On another day we gave a street artist at time square money.OneAnother time in central Park. At one day we had a especially hearth breaking moment. we had been in an imbiss and they gave us three kiwis for free. Me and my parents werent hungry anymore and we desided to give them to a homeless person together with a spoon and a knife. We ended up giving it to a mother with a child who had a sign that asked for food. I was happy to see how much she liked. On one evening. I literally had a breakdown and I cried because I just wasnt able to hold it back anymore. I really felt alone in this situation because I felt like i am the only one who cares around. What world are we living in where this is suppost to be completely normal. If this is suppost to be the city where dreams come true then i dont wanna know how the situation is in other really big citys around the world. So if you read this comment and you life or go to New York or another big city then be human and do something for people in need. If the politicians dont do something then we have to stand up and help those people. If everybody does small things like this examples we can change a lot.

@@Spamboot3000You are a very kind kid. I live in NYC and I understand. I forget how I first met a homeless person, but I remember being told not to give them money because they just buy drugs or alcohol. And there are quite a few crazy people out there, so I learned to avoid them. My impression is that they don’t want to go to shelter. And there are places that give out food. And they can be taken care of and there is nothing to worry about them. This is my explanation why most New Yorkers don’t give money to the homeless in the street.

i was there as a visitor for 5 days in 2018. traveling alone , the best thing was the 5 day city pass , a seperate metro card for a week and a hop on hop off from your hearts desire is that youre free to make youre itenerary on the go. before you go remember the maps and to aquaint of the city districts and precincts. all roads are on north south numbered1-7 axis and cross roads are east to west . central park , park avenue rd and time square are the hubs you can get on and off before going into museums. i got to go to the empire state with no quue after all rides were over at 1 am as it was open untill 2 a.m and it was a ull moon night ans the whole city was lit up like a grid and stars.

Growing up in Brooklyn we went to Coney Island several times.
Go to the Coney Island Aquarium too. The Abe stark ice skating rink is in Coney island.
Go to Sheepshead bay for good seafood and fishing ships.
Check out the main library in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Go to grand army plaza.
Brooklyn botanical garden. Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, prospect park zoo, staten island zoo, queens zoo and queens farm.

I'd love to visit some of the places in your video.
I was born and grew up in NYC most of my life.
I believe they took down part of the highline when I was a child.
During HS, my friend and I went to see a show filmed in a NYC building.
For a brief time, I worked in the new Freedom tower. We had gorgeous views daily. I loved to visit the fountains where I visited several people I knew that were murdered on September 11, 2p01.

I think Georgia Tech had something to do with the panels on the space shuttle.
My aunt and uncle owned a business. They were on the Concorde a few times.

That's an awesome video. Congrats on the editing, Jon.
I'll be a first-timer in New York this year, but still haven't decided which month.
Question guys, if you had the opportunity to go to New York in the last week of September or in the third week of October, which one would you choose?
Thank you all. Thanks, Jon, for the amazing work ☺️

Third week of October probably, just a little cooler and better "city" weather for my taste.

What we needed was info on which month of the year each of these segments were recorded in. Why not include that in your commentary? And i have yet to see a comprehensive video on all the kinds of accommodation along with their locations, prices season wise etc, in NYC. For most of us, THAT is one of the most important aspects of videos about NY for prospective tourists.

Amazing video with loads of brilliant locations and experiences, however, Ellen's Stardust Diner looks like my idea of the worst place on earth!! That burger would have been getting launched straight at the noggin of any of those 'singing wait staff'!!
P.S your videos are so good, I've watched loads of them and enjoyed every single one, keep up the good work, mate.

My grandfather had a kosher meat business in the meat packing district. It was called Bronfman Provisions. Another company that was jealous stated they were not using kosher meat and ruined the business. I believe there is a NY Times article.
