I'm just glad they are back to running Incredicoaster during WOC again. Them shutting it down around 8 something at night for the night was upsetting. And in summer meant no night rides. So to me you have a win.
Woah!!! You said you want to cram as much into DCA because you want to spend more time at Disneyland." Isn't that the goal?" No!!! I love DCA. I can easily spend a day at DCA if I do any shopping or eating. I can hang out for an hour in paradise garden and watch the band. I can enjoy a margarita by the Pixar pier. So great environment
Granted they are teenagers, but all of my nieces and nephews said they liked California Adventure more than Disneyland. People do in fact love DCA and want to spend a whole day there, and possibly more.
Do you have a video where you break down all of your “call to action” times for the different attractions. When to check it out to possibly ride vs when to avoid, etc?
If i have one day for the parks, 8 am to 12 am, i start at disneyland and knock most of it out. And then around 4 I go to dca to eat, ride incredicoaster soarin guardians and maybe rsr if the line isnt too long, watch world of color, and then head bsck to disneyland for fireworks or fantasmic or night rides. Dca isbreally pretty in late afternoon/evening lighting. So much so that i will not walk into radiator springs from the san fransokyo entrance until golden hour.🎉
Loved this video. I can’t tell you how many times I would go to the park after fireworks and could ride everything I wanted! I sure do miss all of those nights in the Hollywood Backlot doing MTP, that was a few years of great fun! This will be a test of your Disney Acronyms… DLR-DCA-HBL-MTP-HOC. Oh, and BTW… How nice is that Osmo 3?? Lol… I could tell by the shadow. I stared with the original Pocket Osmo and carried it with me everywhere on the road. No camera bags, no excess stuff. Keep in mind I started flying a full glide cam rig commercially with the vest and arm that took around 10 - 20 minutes to set up and balance. Then the Osmo which I could have up within about 5 minutes. Now with these It’s virtually instant! I’ve shot a lot of things with it and it still amazes me. At first it like the color grading was s little off then I remembered that it does that while I’m typing! I think Soarin’ seats 87 or 88 if I remember. I forgot the THRC with both theaters running but the per show number seems about right. I just did a quick calc and with a 4.5 minute show time and it’s Push in-Push out so that’s maybe another 5 minutes or so giving us 6 shows per hour (x2) so it should have a THRC of a little over 1000. I always loved the Little Mermaid attraction as it brought back my Arabian Coast team of Chris Crump and Larry Nikolai, what a great team! Thanks for another great video!!
Dave I don’t know if you are in the park or not but you should come see it. It is slow. I have not seen it like this on a Saturday in so long. Especially on a summer day.
It is routinely the case now that the busiest days of the week are Monday through Thursday. It's been a trend for almost 2 years now I think. Kind of hard to believe, but it just keeps happening.
Disney manipulating the reservation system. False scarcity. Disney shows datas sold out when they're not, forcing guests to go on days they wouldn't normally.
My kids took advantage of single rider during the afternoon.... Souring was at 120 mins, they got in and done 25 mins only. Also Grizzle was at 85mins and they did single rider and was also done before 20 mins.....
FreshBaked. David, If you are going to squeeze in a full on DCA evening. We'll have to issue you with a pair of roller skates so you can really get around. A fun night was had by all, thank you. Cheers, Chris Perry.
I was on Mission Breakout today, 6/29, and two elevators were down. One had been breaking down all day. The other, the one that's been down a month now? A cast member told us that it will be down at least 2 more months!!
I have a question for you! Or anyone with an opinion. My family is coming for three days in late July. Normally I would do two days at Disney and one at California Adventure, but given the closures at Disney currently and Pixar fest, would it make more sense to do one day at Disneyland and two at California Adventure?
Soarin’ around the world is such a weird version of the ride. I genuinely can’t tell which video cuts are yours and which cuts are ones that Disney made
I maintain that soarin needs a third screen. People probably disagree, its been there for so long and the line isnt that long usually, but if you build it, theyvwill come. People will absolutely wait to experience it more often if it hovered at 40 minutes or less. But frankly they need to reproduce soarin over california with new flyovers of downtown la and crispy national park scenes too. And monsters inc may be too expensive to rebuild rather than building a separate c/d ticket dark ride elsewhere from scratch, but monsters really should be next to toy story mania, clearing up the backlot for god knows what. Its just so funny how they make you walk through that backlot mess to reach that ride floating in space. Move turtle talk as well ans you can fit another new ride on the south side of hollywood blvd for either avengers or hollywoodland
Plus, jus FYI, everyone and they momma are buying souvenirs and shopping right before the park closes. Its nuts in the stores, literally as everyone is walking out 😂
Also apparently they are finally going to start construction on that avengers e ticket very soon. A cast member posted that they were told the Dr strange show is closing because work is going to be done to it and behind it. I have no idea if it’s going to be the entrance queue though but it seems that way. It makes sense because the Dr strange show had already been unionized for a while. So while all the other shows were closed due to that, the Dr strange show didn’t have to. Had that been the case they would have closed it way earlier ago
I got Blue Sky ideas for replacements at Disney California Adventure I know this is gonna be a controversial opinion but i think closing down Muppet Vision 3-D was a big mistake because now Disneyland has no Muppets attraction but I think they should retheme the Paradise Gardens area with The Muppets The Little Mermaid attraction will stay because that is a great ride and I love it but the other attractions near it would close the Golden Zephyr will be rethemed to Pigs in Space from The Muppet Show, Jumpin Jellyfish will be Themed to Hot airballoons themed to Kermit the Frog taken from The Great Muppet Caper, Goofy's Sky School will be Rethemed to The Great Gonzo's StuntMadness and instead of a Airplanes guests will ride on the Plunger car from the Muppet Movie and the attraction takes place in The Great Gonzo's StuntShow Madness and for his 3rd act he invited you the guests on his Plunger Car the beginning of the ride you see Gonzo in his cannon being launched in the sky and then your car jumps though a Fire hoop (Which is not a fire Hoop it's just a hoop painted orange but it glows in the Dark at Night), a circular Saw, and at the end you see Gonzo on his Motorcycle in a slingshow and at the end he crashing himself and the motorcycle on the Stunt show Building and you see his cutout and his Motorcycle on the Building which is a tribute Muppet Vision 3-D and then at the end you unload from the vehicle and exit safety. The pizza place near by will be rethemed to PizzaRizzo from Disney World, and lastly The Silly Symphony Swings will be rethemed to the Electric Mayhem and will be titled The Eletric Mayhem: RockSwings my 2nd other idea is Paradise Gardens attractions like Goofy's Sky School, Golden Zephyr, Jumpin Jellyfish, and Silly Symphony Swings will be demolished for a FreeGuy Land the Land will take place in FreeCity from the Film and the main ride will take rider on a adventure through FreeCity and the attraction will use the same Ride system technology from The Simpsons Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood and Florida but instead of Rollercoaster vehicles its the Car that Ryan Reynolds drives in the film the land will contain the Coffee shop and Bubble Gum ice cream stand as seen from the film and the land will sell the Blue Lightsaber and Captain America Shield seen from the film also ok now my 3rd idea is The Hyperion Theater and Stage 12 will be demolished for a ride based on Zootopia the ride will use the same ride system technology used in Despicable Me Minion Mayhem at Universal Studios Hollywood and Florida, my 4th idea is Stage 17 will be a Lucasfilm Restaurant and Mickey's philharmagic will stay but for a limited time Muppet Vision 3-D should come back during the 25th Anniversary for Disney California Adventure
Great blue sky idea. The Muppets should come back for a limited time like Soarin over California during Food & Wine. Hollywoodland needs some new life breathed into it before DCA turns 25. I mentioned in someone else’s video that San Fransokyo Square should have a Big Hero 6 attraction, even if it means closing down some restaurants.
@@FreshBakedDisney very valid. You are at the parks a lot and have the opportunity to ride incredicoaster whenever so you can play with those variables and keep it all fresh. I for one LOVE watching the fireworks from the "storybookland" flower bed. Absolutely incredible and special
I wonder why they keep everyone in outside queue so long at monsters. Inside is almost empty. It's colder inside. There is theming. Why not let people enjoy the inside queue
I spoke a couple times about why I don't go single rider for any ride but RSR. I'm trying to provide do the park as a regular guest in a group would go.
DCA is not a fave for me, just a handful of rides that I even care about and those rides all have long wait times. But I’m looking forward to seeing the new Avengers Campus, even though I’m not a big Avengers fan. I’m also interested in some of the new food items. I really hate that Disney moved Oogie Boogie to DCA. Biggest mistake Disney has made.
It reminds me of reading Mother Jones magazine back in the 80s where I wanted to believe(in my left wing days) that there was a right wing conspiracy behind EVERYTHING
@14:40 87 guests per flight in Soarin’
Personally I think the time it takes to park hop between Disneyland and DCA is minimal. Literally a frisbee throw away. Way better than WDW.
it’s not bad when there are no lines to get in
I'm just glad they are back to running Incredicoaster during WOC again. Them shutting it down around 8 something at night for the night was upsetting. And in summer meant no night rides. So to me you have a win.
for a park that is already light on capacity, closing that end of the park at 8 pm sent pretty much everyone to Disneyland. Ghost town.
Yeah, we were disappointed that we couldn't ride it at night during July 2021. They closed at 8PM, even though there was no WOC yet. Lol! 😆
Woah!!! You said you want to cram as much into DCA because you want to spend more time at Disneyland." Isn't that the goal?" No!!! I love DCA. Yes I love the dca sights & sounds as well
Also, you missed a MAJOR treat at DCA. At Sunset they play Shaboom and damce in the street, as the lights come on, like in the movie.
Whattttttttt
as you well know, going to disneyland is always a win. i think 6-7 attractions in 4 hours is a total win. thanks, david!
Do you have a video where you break down all of your “call to action” times for the different attractions. When to check it out to possibly ride vs when to avoid, etc?
I love the chill vibe of the last few mins where you were leaving Pixar Pier and the Inside Out theme was playing! Great vid
If i have one day for the parks, 8 am to 12 am, i start at disneyland and knock most of it out. I love this type of video. I'm reminded of when there was only one park. We would go from open to close. I'm order now a
I ran out of energy around 10pm

Thanks for your video! I love your queue science videos! I am going to the Disneyland Resort in a few weeks and am excited to try out your tips!!
Posted 40 seconds ago? Im seated. 🍿
Great show, Fresh Baked!! Thank you!
I really wish they'd give the sad backlot a makeover. Great work as usual Dave!

Looks hot, crowded, and expensive. I saw an article today that said the average family takes on $1900+ in CC debt for a Disney Vacation.
Define Disney Vacation. DL is nearly all locals.

these videos make my day! fresh BAKED
Please do recon on Guardians of the Galaxy. I need that video.
Rollercoasters at Disneyland are just better at night. Everyone should know that.
Thanks again Dave! Fresh Baked!! 🎉
It seems like time to try again.
At least side quests are optional. Love your videos
I think you should do this again...iterate it to perfection!
Any way to find out when this was filmed so we can look at other data to see the crowd level data?
87 passengers per Theater for Soarin! (Per Park Vault Net)
I will be at Disneyland July 20
I pulled a muscle 😅
Have fun. I actually love DCA way better then Disneyland.....
lol is this the same day you and your family did the do everything wrong video lol
love your stuff
do everything wrong video?
When do you rec doing radiator springs with young kid that can’t do single rider?
I was on Mission Breakout today, 6/29, and two elevators were down. One had been breaking down all day. The other, the one that's been down a month now? A cast member told us that it will be down at least 2 more months!!
It took us all day to do the rides and shows. We still have to finish the pier, (we only did 3,) do Monsters Inc and Luigi's.
Whenever they call for 2 people on soar in we stay quiet because they always give you the worst seat. They are just trying to to fill the thing 😒
so true!
I have a question for you! Or anyone with an opinion. My family is coming for three days in late July. Normally I would do two days at Disney and one at California Adventure, but given the closures at Disney currently and Pixar fest, would it make more sense to do one day at Disneyland and two at California Adventure?
definitely not. even with the closures at Disneyland, there isn't near enough to do at DCA to warrant two full days.
Fresh Baked! 🖖💜👌
Hey Fresh Baked!!

Yeah, we were as far right as you can get, but at least we had the top row; with no feet. Next time I'm going to ask for the middle.

LOVE LOVE love, the effort you put into this post. I am very impressed.
Oh come on Dave compared to Florida park-hopping is a breeze! Shouldn’t be worried about that imo
we're at Disneyland though.
Incredicoaster at night looks better without world of color going. All the lights are on on the coaster and the top of the buildings like midway mania
I personally love seeing shows happening from novel perspectives like this.

No way I’d wait over 5 mins to get on Monsters Inc ride. It’s just not worth it.
I was looking for you but I did see other Disney influencers lol ...next time
I still think DCA is too small and not enough rides to be a separate park, especially at the cost it is to get in
You lost when you went to Little Mermaid.
yep
87 guest per a room
im going wed jul 3 who want to meet up
Welcome to Soaring around Melt World. This ride is so poor compared to Over California.
Souring has single rider, just do that
