The Adonis Twins, on the other hand, had enough grit to not only endure said re-entry, but use it to temper their bodies into iron. And they also grew twice as big. Somehow.
I find it funny how Mario can be SHOT INTO THE MOON FROM EARTH WITHOUT ANY INJURIES, and yet can still be knocked out by somebody in the audience throwing a rock at him, or gets hurt when a cardboard prop topples over.
Nautical miles are based on the distance covered by one minute of a degree (1/60th of a degree) on a meridian on earth. It approximates to 1852 meters, or an average of 92600 potatoes!
Even if I do prefer the snow variant, I still LOVE the moon battle theme. Hearing the B-section of the song combined with the rotating starry background scratches my brain in a way. Also, Tomato.
One cool thing they could've done for the Elite X-Nauts is that they could've put one as sort of a miniboss in Chapter 2. You just fight it by itself. Maybe replaces the one that Ms Mowz knocked down? Or maybe when the Sewers enemies change into Hammer Bros and stuff you'd occasionally find one? Maybe in the secret spunia room? Just spitballing here
As boring as the moon segment is gameplay wise, I appreciate how striking it is visually in the remake. On the other hand, they fucked up the fortress theme so bad. Genuinely the only time in my playthrough I swapped to the og soundtrack
0:05 Super Paper Mario shouldn't count since it's space in another dimension while my guess for Land 2 is that the suit is just a cosmetic à la Mario Party 2. 3:42 I'd say tomato. 5:48 Negating the stealthiness of those approaching the base must take priority for them over assuring their own. As to why Mario can easily enter their base despite that as we'll see soon enough... there's actually a reason for that, but I won't mention it for now to avoid spoilers. 12:27 What I don't get is why they didn't replace some of these Ultra Mushrooms with Jammin' Jellies to avoid this overabundance of them - you could say that you can turn the former into the latter and vice versa anyway, but new players don't know about that (and to be honest I forgot as well at first when I played the remake so to cook the recipes earlier I ended up buying a couple of Jammin' Jellies from the Parlor)! 14:35 Considering Goombella's fourth-wall breaking and Tattle Log full of spoilers I wouldn't be surprised if she somehow watched the cutscenes.
*bounces to the X-Naut Fortress theme* Hm... Yeah nah. As much as I love Chapter 7's battle theme, I don't think it would have worked well after its respective area. So, from least to favorite:... Time to invade Sir Grodus' Lunar Disco Palace. With all the observations you made about Chapter 7 previously, the TCRF page does speculate that Chapter 7 got reworked late in development due to how the rooms are laid out in the OG's data (you probably already know that, but for anyone reading this who didn't, there you go). Tomato
The Moon battle song sounds like it turns off at points and it gets distracting It’s interesting how the second floor puzzle actually might as well require you to look at the screen in the background compared to the original where you can make out where you need to go
Well, Planet Blobule and The Whoa Zone apparently had oxygen. Speaking of Planet Blobule, Chapter 2-4 of Super Paper Mario is the reason the moon in this game disappointed me(or at least the outdoor sections). The higher jump seemed like it was going to be a gimmick you'd have to make use of somewhere down the line. Unfortunately, the moon jump turned out to be more of a decoration than anything else.
Never played the game myself, but based on how I tend to enjoy games, Chapter 3. A chapter mostly just battles does not sound fun. It feels almost like enemy spam without the dungeon. Obviously, my opinion does not count for anything, so take it with a mountain of salt.
I don’t know how to superguarding X-Naut PhD’s every potion attack But X-Naut Fortress is a good place to farm P-Up, D-Down and D-Up, P-Down Badge So I got 3 P-Up, D-Down P Badge before chapter 8
8:01 except those arent really lives they just give 50 HP and you have to be living to use it right speaking of which, where have the life shrooms gone to anyway?
Chapter 3, easily the worst chapter. Chapter 5 at least added a faster way of getting to the grotto without needing to platform with Yoshi. Chapter 3 is essentially the same as it was on GC, which meant that you still need Yoshi if you want to beat the Iron Adonis Twins instead of being able to use the Super Hammer, making it the most pointless ability in the game.
I'll also add that Chapter 3, being all battle-centric so relatively soon into the game, showcases tons of enemies and overlevels us, making the game even easier than it is and making later monsters less interesting by them essentially being recolors of those in the Glitz Pit. Just sucks overall.
Disagree there. To me, battle gameplay is the most interesting part of TTYD, so a battle-centric chapter with added challenges to make it spicier is actually on top of everything else. Plus, I really like the atmosphere of the chapter once the mystery starts showing.
My Least favorite Chapter is Chapter 3 It’s so boring and not fun, not because it’s either challenging or hard either it’s just battles over and over again with nothing else happening for the whole thing “Oh but there’s the mystery behind what’s truly going on” yeah SUCH. A mystery that doesn’t change anything further through the chapter until the end just there to waste more of my time when playing through it I can say the only fun part about Chapter 3 was getting Yoshi Kid and that’s it… Okay Rawk Hawk was a cool dude but seriously that’s all it was, nothing of chapter 3 was exciting or interesting through it since it’s just battling for 2-3 hours with barley anything to gain Moving on from the topic of Chapter 3 I feel like this chapter is kinda…lacking a bit, ignoring all the general white stuff we really do just get to the moon and like………that’s it, nothing really happens on the moon Then entering the fortress it’s just like “You’re here” …cool ig Also for the curious: My favorite Chapter is Chapter 5
@@Skawo They gave Chapter 8 the Black Bowser's Castle treatment of having the overworld music play uninterrupted for most areas of the Palace of Shadow. The exceptions are the courtyard and its tower, which play the unsettling theme.
@@Skawo very pleased to see 1 so high in your ranking! I really like the remix and am a bit sad it's used to little overall. Really should have been used in part of the pit.
3:47 I'm guessing your least favorite chapter is 2. Considering the way you named Yoshi. Perhaps, subtle foreshadowing. Anyways, potato. Chapter 5 is the epitome of boredom to me, and it's about as bland as the outside of an actual potato. Even the music isn't all that great, with it housing my personal least favorite battle theme in the entire game, and the only notable remixes to me were the boss remixes. Other than that, it is probably the second closest to a chapter literally just being a hallway to 7, and the enemies are quite boring. I'm currently doing a no badges, star power, nor superguards playthrough right now and I just want to progress to chapter 6.
My least favorite chapter is 4 so...ummmm...carrot. In addition to its excessive linearity, I also don't feel like the game truly went far enough with the concept. YOU COULD DO SO MUCH WITH DOOPLISS STEALING MARIO'S LIFE...and they just don't. Not helping matters is the extremely boring level design and excessive backtracking which, while the remake did indeed fix, was only a band-aid solution to a chapter that had little to no respect for the player's time. Granted, I respect the remake quite a bit for doing the best it could with what it was given. Still, lipstick on a pig and all that. (pardon the pun)
When Moon Clefts fall down to the planet, they burn up their buff stats on re-entry. They're lucky they survive the impact at all.
I always thought moon clefts were part chameleon
The Adonis Twins, on the other hand, had enough grit to not only endure said re-entry, but use it to temper their bodies into iron.
And they also grew twice as big. Somehow.
