Matt, made this for Thanksgiving and everyone said it was the BEST Mac & Cheese they had EVER eaten! We put it in the smoker for 30 minutes while the turkey was resting and it was over the top delicious! Thanks, Man!!

Three notes: 1.) Recipe is scrumptious! 2.) The written recipe doesn’t include the chicken bouillon in the cheese sauce for seasoning so keep that in mind if you’re following that one 3.) be very liberal with the condensed milk. 2 tbsp is almost too much even at a 1.5 recipe of Mac (I added 1.5 and could definitely tell the sweetness was there) especially since I had to come rewatch the recipe and noticed the bouillon could’ve definitely added some saltiness to counter the condensed milk that was missing from the printable recipe. Happy Cooking guys!

I’m good with undercooking the pasta so it doesn’t turn into mush after baking. Next I’ll work on the flavor of the sauce and experiment with some different cheeses. 🥘💙

I've never used a roux. Never needed to, and I make a mean Mac and cheese. I don't know if I would use all of those ingredients but I would definitely like to try it if you make it 😂
I find the hardest part is getting the right texture, I’ve made it wrong just about every way possible. Gluey, too much flour? Or when the sauce doesn’t stick to the noodles, I think that’s from melting the cheese with too much heat causing the fat to separate.
I loooove Mac& cheese. But sadly it’s the one thing I cannot cook correctly 😔 I’m gonna try this recipe chef Matt. And if it doesn’t come out right…well- let’s just say I will be eating a whole pan of very mid Mac today 😟

The condensed milk also stabilizes the cheeses and the dairy making it harder for the sauce to split on you. Thanks for these great recipes!!!

I always have some better than bouillon so I add that to the boiling water for rice, potatoes and pasta. 🥘💙

southern style baked mac n cheese for me. carnation milk eggs lil butter sharp cheddar cheese salt pepper dry mustard and a pinch of sugar for balance
