One of my old friends back in highschool was Claude's grandson. They owned the CB performance in Tulare county. Knowing him didn't cut cost but I did t try that route either but I built a 2276 and blew it within a week for fabbing a bearing that my block didn't have a notch for. Definitely got to see some potential in it before it blew but wasted roughly 3 or 4 grand. Love seeing these kinds of videos of what mine could've been. Had dual 44 empire carbs, the second to best (drag) cam, best rods, forged Pistons...all that. About 180hp in my 72 SB. Breaks my heart.
Love the vw we had 1 in the 90s in monterrey 🇲🇽 my passion for vws started by watching them go 10s at the autodromo race track in monterrey as a kid..I'm going to build a motor in Mexico due to the prices..and parts are common and easy to find..vw shops everywhere..hope to post soon
wich do you use cooling system? Im asking that because I dont see any engine tin, fan box or anything :) I know this is not daily drive car but some cooling system should be there right? :))
Where did you get the nitrous kit? My set up is Turbocharged....I'm looking to make 500rwhp and if I don't hit that mark I'm adding Nitrous. You I love the sound it makes 👍🏾.
Update mine hit 300rwhp 298ftlb TQ @ low boost.......and I haven't even scratched the surface......I'm sure now I'll hit that 500rwhp I'm been looking for
@@volkstroke what length conrods are you using? I just purchased a set of eight 6.300 H-Beams that came out of a NASCAR cup motor is set was used for just the One race of course and the rods are perfect I'm looking to get rid of four of them dirt cheap if anyone is interested. That much stronger than the stock VW rods and much lighter.
The weird graph is because the wheels are spinning on the rolls. Most likely more like 300 IRL. Such power outputs are very difficult to transfer to the rolls when the car is so light. In such cases axle hubs are the solution. But I bet it is wicked on the tracks anyway
