Andy KA Yeah like how when they first appeared on the American market and called themselves “hon-day”, in all their car and radio commercials, which confused a lot of people who thought they were Honda. Hyundai and Honda sounds nothing alike if pronounced correctly. Even now I hear some people say “hon-day”.

It's actually pronounced "ha-yoon-dai". It's only in the US that they're called "Hun-day".
Just some constructive critisism on the video, but this could have been done much better. When showing each car, you should have always started with the old version, then gone to the new. There were several cars on the list (like the sunfire) that kept flipping between multiple gens of the car, in what seemed no particular order, making it hard to tell which you were actually talking about. Also, when trying to describe facelifts of a car, you shouldn't use so many heavily modified or custom painted cars as an example, like the Tiburon slides being 90% pics of custom painted riced out cars with more mods than just the company updates, it makes it difficult to tell what you are supposed to be looking at.

Same, I quite love the Multipla, especially when painted in a vibrant colour, it brings joy between all the grey Audis and white BMWs on the road today, which is exactly why I hate the dull facelifted version. I would actually consider de-facelifting a newer one just to have 1 less dull one and 1 more fun one on the roads.

I love my 2005 Sunfire. I think the more rounded design is beautiful and distinctive and makes the car look almost like an arachnid of some sort.

The new Prius comes to mind. I know it wasn't the best looking car to begin with but it had clean and simple lines that made it rather inoffensive, but the new one is just terrible. The unnecessarily complicated and showy design makes it down right annoying to look at.

Uber and taxis. Prii get great fuel economy and are pretty reliable from what I've heard. Basically the best taxi out there.

I actually think the face lift Multipla looked better in my opinion. The Scorpios back end is what killed it. The back of the Scorpio lacked creativity. The SAAB 9-5 doesn't really bother me. If you want a bad face lift the Toyota Prius face lift was even worse.
Which Prius facelift? The current version or the 2010 version? Also those aren't facelifts they are entirely different generations.
Although some cars are just ugly, I think being weird is better than being bland. Weird cars are remembered.

Loved the original scorpio as a kid.... but i was a fan of the sierra. Today i own a saab 93 turbo convertable. Before the facelift (2002) ~i quite liked the facelift on the 95 mind. But i can see what you mean about a set of "glasses" being worn.

I think the Saab 9-5 became a little more modern, that style of headlight with the white corrugated plastic was falling out of fashion, and I reckon Saab did a great job with the redesign, it's fresher and more modern, just those headlights make it look 10 years newer!
Although what ruined the looks of it is the chrome trim around the headlights which should be painted in the same color as the rest IMO.
It doesn't look bad by any means, but I do prefer the original 9-5 though.

Lonely Driver same as with Diablo it just looks a bjt retarded. It was slick and elegant with pop ups same as original diablo. It wasnt designed with fixed lights in mind and in NSX they bulge out wards and look hedious. Over all car still looks good, but ligjts are terrible. Diablo had it a litle easierand it doesnt look as bad but still much worse than its pop ups
Kacpa2 in my opinion nsx looks better with pop ups while diablo looks better with 300zx lights

1st gen nsx was the best looking Imo. But I like them all. But if I'm buying one I want a first gen. Especially since they got heavier and slower as time went on.

That Ford Scorpio must have been built on the Tempo platform, they look very similar. Particularly around the side window molding at 3:51.
For me. I like both e classes (w207) but I would rather the pre face-lift w207.

Another, but less severe, sample would be the BMW e34 5-Series and e32 7-Series. They first came with small kidney grilles in the late 80's, which were changed to bigger grilles, and with a raised bonnet with their 1993 face-lifts. I understand that the higher bonnet was required to fit the huge V12 on the first 750iL at first (and later V8's), and the 5er had to get the same "modification" in order to get the 4.0L V8 under the bonnet.
The F/L doesn't look bad, just that the "older" grille gave it a much more handsome look! An e34 M5 is a dream car of mine, but super-rare in South Africa in mint condition.

When The Tiburon first came out it was available as a 4 cyl or a 6. Auto or 5 spd. It replaced the deplorable Scoupe Later cars came as faster 6 cyl with a 6 spd trans. Identifiable by a god awful little light on the front fenders near the door The car that is replaceing it is the genesis, If you drive the 2 dr It is abad ass car. Hyundai has come a long way since the early 90's and if you live in Portland Oregon That is where most are processed.as Well as Honda. Subaru is across the river In Vancouver Wa

The GT4 will never be topped, I am a huge rally fan so Love that car. I don't mind the newer Celica, I think it's an alright daily driver that'll you never get up to speed anyway and it looks pretty good. And as you said, the car has room for tuning for those interested, I don't think it is the worst thing in the world but I was a little disappointed with it. I don't think it should have carried the celica bade tbh purely because of its past. If it had another unique name, I think the car would be great and fulfill the market it was designed for.

It was called the Merkur Scorpio. There was also the Merkur XR4Ti, which was a U.S. version of the Ford Sierra XR4i.
The facelifted Ford Scorpio acquired the nickname 'wide-mouth frog' in UK. It was comfortable, capacious AND GHASTLY TO LOOK AT! Had to drive one as a taxi, and got rear-ended at a canal bridge. I was virtually begging the bloke to hit me harder so's I'd get punted into the canal and write the bally thing off!!

Facelift refers to a mid model refresh, some of the cars listed are completely different generations/platforms.
My brother bought a 1997 Tiburon over a decade ago and has put well over 100000 miles on it. Though he actually wanted the 2000-2001 style. I've always like the one that he bought, but I do admit the front end kind of reminds me of a late 90s Chevy cavalier. Just very similar but I still like the car.

I feel like most cars in the 2000s had larger headlights with big circular bulbs inside. That was the design trend. Luckily now we're getting sleeker headlights because of LEDs and some companies are making very thin headlights which look really nice (example: any new Lexus and a ton of other brands too).

Was coming back from the Lake District the other an Impreza pulled across the round about then out of nowhere a evo X pulled behind it and you guess the rest, the point I going to make was that I like the Impreza with the bug eyes.

The Ford Scorpio was indeed sold in the USA, as the Merkur Scorpio... and it was slightly better looking than the European cousin. The Merkur division was killed off before the second generation of the Scorpio, thankfully.
I like the Dodge Viper. It's one of my top dream cars, and it's looks are as aggressive as an actual viper. The downside of the viper is the 5th-Gen designs. The main headlights is the most distinctive for me, and when the facelift comes around, the headlights just kills it for me. I liked the tail lights to an extent, and the only change I want on it was replace the hideous headlights with the previous 4th-gen ones, and update it for the modern day.

If I remember rightly the Ford Scorpio was the last big saloon car that Ford UK/Europe brought out. I think it tried to take on the bottom of the range BNW and Audi.
