Only good thing about this ship is watching a Worcester get out Worcester'd.

but worcester has much better aa. as you can see in the replay, theres no carriers. so yea its kind of a tradeoff, both ships are fun tho.
oh boy i just _love_ having to deal with atlantas when playing tier 5-9. Adding two more, even stronger versions to screw over tier 8-10 is _just_ what i wished for

It's nice but I'll stick to my Worcester. It has "enough" DPM on the guns and I like my hydro + def AA + radar + heal combo. Just way better consumables.
Not sure how to bb anymore. In my GK I'm getting burned down every single game, it's tiring. This ship is just joining the party

But yes some are indeed for coal. I bought all coal ships in the game and i still got 250k coal...alao got 50k steel now
Ya, I got my Flint finally when the steel missions came out since I dont do Ranked or Clan battles. I'll be sad when I see how much steel this will cost....

U should do some of those. Its not that hard.
Join a decent clan and u will earn good amounts of steel. Try some ranked. Its hard but can work out.
Why this thing gets 18.6km range and something like DM is still stuck at 15.8. Its 2018 ffs, DM needs at least 17.5km.
Also, does the game really need more ships like these. I mean this is just disgusting.
I agree, Des Real 8" guns had a range of 27 1/2km

@@nighthawkf1174 you only need AFT for that range on colbert/smolensk. On DM you have to make a sacrifice even tho its 200mm gunboat.

Why are all these new ships not tech tree ships? They're eventually going to starve the game of content by going crazy on premiums like they did in WoT
Technically, a lot of branches can still be implemented in WoT. Believe me, many more tanks were developed by several nations than what you may guess.
They just put out the russian battleships and are coming out with the french dds right after. Doesn't seem like they're ignoring tech trees at all to me.
Yeah one line of ships... but think about how good it would be to have multiple tier 10s accessible from one line, especially in the future

This ship has such a modern look
I saw a team of this and the Smoke one in a team just working there way around a flank the other day, it was brutal... many bothans died...anyways as a cruise main I'm not sure these ships are a good idea, but that's just me. They look like fun to play from a cruiser point of view but I think their impact on the game might be a bit much just after the CV rework we had to have so was can spam the sky with planes.

In real life Colbert was a museum ship after her service ended but she had to close due to the owner not taking care of her. As of today Colbert is ethier scrapped and gone or is still be broken up. R.I.P French Navy Ship Colbert you will be missed.

That colbert really looks very modern with his helipad on the backend of the ship. Hopefully its doesnt collide with the more WW II esque style of warships. And how is the AA? Great Vid.
I'm pretty sure it was built after WWII as an AA cruiser. She was only scrapped a few years ago as well
WTF. IFHE really needs to completely eliminate fire chance, it's completely ridiculous. Then it would be a choice, fire damage or shell damage.
If u have really fast reload speed (harugumo, whorechaser), you dont need to rely on fire dmg no more...

@@seabass9916 I'd say notably layer is rather exaggerated. Colbert was laid down in 53 and comossioned in 56. But yes, it is different from WWII cruiser doctrine since it was meant to be purely an AA cruiser. Surface engagement or shore bombardment would be ineffective with such a ship.

Adding submarines would balance out the game so much : making CVs unable to spot them, DDs only ones capable of killing them. All of a sudden, you have predators for BBs, immune to CVs, and targets for DDs. The game needs U-boats...
The mechanic and gameplay will be awesome but the execution in the last submarine event is disgusting it's like playing with submersible toy boat, I'm personally ok about the animation and the mechanic since I won't touch submarine at all

Another ship that makes going for caps as a dd more or less pointless. They can't just keep on adding ships that make caps deadzones for destroyers. Radar, rocketplanes and now cruisers that will make Harugamo look like a water pistol. They nerfed the pan asian tier 10 dd and then bring out this thing...
Maybe you should change how you approach cap zones. A careful approach with an escape route under 8 seconds, even in the worst case scenario nobody will be able to kill you that quickly, not even with this new ship. Too many DDs dive in nose first and then get radared and focused down before they can make their U-turn right into enemy torpedoes. If it's too dangerous, then do not cap. It's that simple. Taking the control of capture points is something you deliver as a punishment to the enemy after they've abandoned the map control of that portion of the map. There are other things you can do in the meanwhile like spot and look for opportunities for torpedo attacks while you spot enemy torpedoes in advance and make sure that your teammates are safe from enemy DDs.
I do probably push to hard and sometimes stay to long. I know carefully is better and the game requires more thought and tactics. But it is still open season on dds. They seem to be harder to play and they are made for taking the caps. The amount of issues they meet at the moment is huge and ships like this makes it even harder

Does wg even consider dd play when implementing new ships. At this point they are more concerned with their crappy cv design and 100milion premiums then dds not being so shitty to play. They should give a general buff to dds and especially torpboats as nearly everything has radar, hydro, superheal or high manuverability...
So, cv's slowly killing dd class and they adding this ship to speed it up ?
