- In this latest installment of the the Akatsuki Edition of the True Power Series, we're going to take a detailed look at the freakishly absurd power of Pain, the "leader" of the Akatsuki. How strong was Pain? Did the Six Paths of Pain possess even more jutsu other than the Rinnegan jutsu that we saw used in the Naruto manga? Was Pain truly capable of taking down an entire nation and was he high kage level? Was Pain overhyped as a ninja?
Grab those ramen bowls and get in that Uchiha mindstate,because we're about to break down the true power of Pain and answer the question of just how strong was pain of the Akatsuki and where does he rank in the Naruto series?
The pain ost was godly. But he waited til hanzo was in decline, and if jiraiya knew there were six pain would never have even seen naruto.

Pain would have bodied Jiraiya eitherway. He still needs to fight against them in order to get to the original body. He didn't had any intel of each Paths ability either. Konoha didn't stand a chance against him. Naruto had full intel, Sage Mode, Fukasaku and Shima and 3 gigant Toads by him he still lost the moment Pain (or just Deva Path) was at full power again. He thrashed the gigant taods with one Shinra Tensei. Did go into Six Tail state and still got fucked up with the Chibaku Tensei. What would he do against CT or some Shinra Tensei, all summons and the 5 other paths at the same time, simultaneously. Not with the stupid formation and going in 1v1 when he fought Naruto due to Deva Path cool down phase.
What exactly does it bring him to know from the beginning that there are 6 Paths and Nagato is the original? Naruto had exactly the same intel and stll needed to fight with the ones mentioned above and unlike in Naruto's case, Pain would be at full power during the Jiraiya encounter.

The only villain that actually did shit. He singlehandedly defeated the rain village along with Hanzo WITHOUT A SCRATCH (Even if he was rusty, Hanzo didn't even take down a body nor did any of the bodies have a scratch on them, meaning Hanzo got fucked by all 6 bodies).
He killed sage jiraiya. Later, he killed Kakashi and the majority of konoha all in one fight without taking a break. Ffs he fucking nuked the entire leaf village. He would've killed Tsunade too if Naruto didn't save her. he defeated Sage Naruto with the 2 elder frogs and 3 free boss summons, while fighting with 5 out of 6 bodies for half of the fight (Tendo had no power for the majority of the fight). Naruto got saved by the nine tails, and to top it off pain wasn't even trying to kill Naruto, he needed to keep him alive. If he wanted to kill Sage Naruto he would've done it easily when he pinned him down rather than use talk no jutsu.
Keep in mind, a SHADOW CLONE of sage Naruto was able to beat Edo 3rd raikage. Yes, not even the real full power sage Naruto, just a fucking weak ass shadow clone using sage mode was able to beat Edo immortal 3rd raikage.
Immediately after defeating sage Naruto, Tendo path alone defeated Six tails Kyuubi Naruto. And after that, when 8 tails appeared and the 9th tail was appearing (Yamato's hand was flashing with the number "9"), Pain said he was going to make AN EVEN BIGGER CHIBAKU TENSEI to seal the Kyuubi up. He literally did all this shit in 1 fight without taking a break and having multiple handicaps.
I would have to guess hanzo before decline was around hiruzen against the nine trial fox when he wasnt in his prime anymore
Pain was the darkest and best Naruto villain! His music theme was ominous and his battle sequence with Konoha/Naruto/Nine tails was the series best IMHO.
He blew away an entire village. Enough said.
And people still say Itachi could bea pain pain kills Itachi mid difficulty
Pains powers are
• he detsoyed the leaf in 5 seconds so he would be able to beat anyone in the akatski easily or anyone in the leaf at the pain are
• could summon 20 animals at once easily could take out the akstski and anyone at the leaf
• special almighty push could push anyone from the series at that time
• planetary devastation easily defeating Itachi or obito or anyone at thet point of the series
• can't die they could bring any of the 6 pains to life if they died
• has a walking weapon which is easily overpowered it's defense isn't that good tho
• has the rinegen
• has sage of 6 paths power he literally a human god who could beat anyone froma akstski or anyone from the shinobi world when he was alive
• has shared vision let's say he has no blind spot
• good at tijutsu was able to keep up with hianta who specialises in tijutsu also base Naruto (pain arc)
•Can dodge easily (when Kakashi tried to hit the ashur path dodged easily we all know kakashi is fast)
• can repell any ninjutsu easily (even the rasenshuriken)
• can abosrove chakra which is not sage chakra
And people still say Itachi or any akatski or even any shinobi from the Earth could beat him when he was alive

He only fought a 6 tails version 2 clocked naruto and did terrible he used chibaku tensei and still wasn't enough to keep him down it took kurama going 8 tails to break out of it

With only the Deva path at half strength too
And got his ass whooped

In my list of favorite Arcs, the pain arc is my favorite! The fact jairaya died & the leaf was destroyed made it even better.(👍👍👍👍 to this video bro!!!)
One thing I hate is when people say pain vs (a character) they are always talking about the pain who shot off the chaotic shinratensei. They never once want to talk about pain chilling in the rain village where he CLEARLY had WAYYY more chakra.
Pain is one of the few characters in the series whose power was never really questioned. He was also the first character introduced to truly be considered an overwhelming threat- his entire arc was masterfully done, emotional and only grew in intensity. That is why it is highly considered the best arc in the series and the last best arc before Naruto started to go all DBZ and lose its way.
As for animal path being able to use the same summons over and over- those summons I believe are corpses like the Pain bodies- they have the chakra rods suggesting Pain actually controls every one of them, plus with the Naraka Path, Pain can revive any fallen summons.

@@deviyonyoung3124 Yeah, what we got after that was really a mess. Where all the battles more or less came down to who can throw a bigger chakra bomb, and who was using who.
Nagato was used by Obito who in turn was used by Madara who in turn was used by Black Zetsu- to bring back a villain we only heard of like a few chapters before her revival. Kaguya was so anti climatic and truly unnecessary in the grand scheme of things. It would have made more sense to actually save her for the Boruto series instead of rushing to fit her in a few chapters in naruto.

The last great arc was "The Kage Summit" just after the Pain Arc. Then it got slow and the writing went downhill and it lost its ability to tastefully build suspense.
The last really good enemy of the series. His arc I think is by far the bast one in Naruto.

I consider Pain one of the most powerful characters, because each individual Path is an S-rank ninja in its own right. And there are six of them. Facing six Kage-killer shinobi at once is an incredible feat, but hold on. They share a mind. They work in perfect unison. To beat Pain you basically have to be Naruto or Sasuke, or Hashirama or Madara. You've got plot armor basically. There just aren't many that I buy beating Pain. Pain even beats Tsukyomi, you just got one path but it can't suffer and the other five are up your ass. And I haven't even gotten into their actual abilities yet. Some are meh but others are OP enough to be incredibly impressive even alone. Perhaps Pain was not truly a God after all, but undoubtedly Pain wielded Godlike power.
arbington Yeah you’re overestimating Pain. He’s strong, but compared to some of the people by the war arc he’s almost fodder. Debate me if you want
I consider some of the War Arc characters on par with Pain, we may be thinking of some of the same characters. Naruto's Pain Arc win was, per usual, at least half for plot purposes. Each individual Path of Pain is Kage-class and that's absurd in its own right but that can be beaten, albeit by few. That's not much better than the Kinkaku Force. The thing that makes Pain special is that they are of one mind. They're more coordinated than is humanly possible, and able to attack from multiple angles in a similarly impossible fashion. To me that's what makes Pain dangerous, not the power of any individual Path per se but their multiplicity and inhuman coordination. A shinobi can be a virtuoso on par with Beethoven but they still can't play Black MIDI like Pain can.
arbington Pain is strong no doubt, but Sage Naruto kinda dicked on all of them, aside from the Deva path which he had to use the 8 tails form of the Kyubbi to overpower Pain. And yeah, numbers can often times turn the tide of battle, especially if they’re all coordinated and in synch, but at some point there’s just a gap in power where being in synch or having the best teamwork won’t cut it. I also don’t know about all the paths being Kage-level. The deva path yeah, but I don’t think the human path would have a chance in hell against most of the Kage-level fighters we see. What’re some of the war arc characters that you think Pain would be possibly able to beat?
Right but Naruto also somehow whooped Kakuzu with one Rasenshuriken. Naruto walks into any fight, pops a new jutsu or chakra mode, and wins because he's the protagonist. Each Path of Pain is meant to be equal, they all should've been just as gnarly as the Deva Path was but plot necessitated differently. I think Naruto absolutely gets strong enough to curb stomp Pain eventually, just like Kakuzu, but at the time they fought that win was all plot armor. Sage mode is beastly but not "lay down the smackdown on six S-rankers at once" beastly, not that easily anyway. With enough skill using it sure but Naruto had learned it for like a week. That said, War Arc Naruto and Sasuke would've outright eaten Pain's lunch. Kakashi too. Pain could've taken Sakura, could've easily taken the Konoha 11 and all the assorted Kage's assistants. Killer B goes down, if Kisame could push him that far Pain would win probably easier than a B fan would ever admit. Probably beats most revived shinobi, except for Minato and Hashirama. Tobirama is close but I give it to Pain, I actually consider Tobirama a good point of reference for Pain since like I said a conservative estimate of Pain puts him about even with the Kinkaku Force. Madara would destroy Pain. Ten-Tails Obito would win, but pre Ten-Tails I think it's a much closer fight that still probably goes to Obito. Itachi beats Nagato easy but I think Pain might've been a harder fight for him, the numbers game is important versus a genjutsu user and I already covered Tsukyomi. Kabuto I doubt Pain beats, he doesn't go down easy but I'm willing to concede some weakness to sage mode for the sake of fairness, and if he could pressure Sasuke like that he probably takes the win anyway. I think Pain takes the Kage except for Ohnoki, whose Particle Style is way OP. Basically I think Pain would rival most endgame ninja except almost all of those directly connected to the plot. He was the leader of an organization that captured Tailed Beasts, there's not many people that can say "Oh I'll just go and capture a Tailed Beast today!" even in the War Arc. He wouldn't be the scariest guy around anymore but he'd still be more than capable until a main character, protagonist or antagonist, put him down easy. The main cast did indeed become insanely strong in the War Arc and I can't argue against that, but there's enough to support him beating the likes of Tsunade or the supporting schmoes or even Killer B.

A lot of people say that if Jiraiya had prior knowledge of Pain; he could’ve actually won but thats where people are wrong because:
-Pain already was at a disadvantage since he couldn’t use his OP justo since it would’ve destroyed his village
-Jiraiya admits even with sage mode, he probably couldn’t have beaten him
-One path of Pain was able to ambushed Jiraiya, meaning Jiraiya’s sensory skills aren’t that impressive (unlike Naruto)
-Jiraiya has only fought 3 paths of Pain at once (the weakest) and when the rest showed up, he literally got killed in like 10 minutes
I understand Jiraiya is a talented shinobi BUT he is not even on the top 20 strongest list for Naruto characters (and Pain is arguably is, let alone NAGATO)

Jiraiya still wouldn't win against Pain even, if he knew about Pain's ability, how would he counter Almighty Push or Universal Pull. Also, Jiraiya instantly lost to Pain when all 6 of them arrived.

Kakashi was amazed because he thought that Jiraiya fought all 6 at once throughout the fight, which is not true. Jiraiya fought only 3 and that too barring the Animal Path, the weakest Paths. The strongest Paths like Deva and Asura didn't even engage in the fight up until the last few minutes and didn't even do that much. After that Jiraiya died. Meanwhile Kakashi fought the strongest Paths- Deva and Asura. Kakashi defeated Asura and nearly got Deva.
Deva path didn't even use his abilities against Jiraiya. Then again Kakashi wasn't alone he had backup which allowed him to exploit the 5 seconds interval which he wouldn't be able to do on his own.
See but Jiraya took down 3 of them without intel. If he did have the intel he would’ve fought and acted more accordingly. Even pain said he would’ve won with intel

You should do a video where you do vs requests. Ie. Itachi vs Deva Path Pain, Kisame vs Kakazu, Pain/Nagato/Itachi vs Tobi, Madara EMS vs Obito, etc... Regardless of who wins, I’m sure your analysis would be a concluding point in these debates

Strongest is definitely Obito. Anyone that you need to be able to teleport or just have the same jutsu as to even think about touching is completely broken. Plus the wood style.

Orange Mask Obito is not stronger then Pain. Rinnegan sure. But Orange mask heck no. And you should not really compare characters to characters who appears 3 arcs later because this is an anime and the power ramp up got pretty terrible at the end x). Like It went from throwing one rasenshuriken per fight to just spamming hundreds of them casually in a few episodes so if pain was alive he probably would have gotten a ridiculous power up too. While he was alive, Pain was the strongest (Madara wasn't reanimated, Kabuto wasn't a sage yet and orange mask obito was strong but he'd probably be in trouble trying to attack deva and human path).
Nagato has reverse summoning and soul manipulation lol and a lizzard which can go invisible what will obito do about that and i said orange mask one

Pain was a monster, easily high Kage Level and the only Kages capable taking on Pain would be those capable of handling the 9 tails, which would only be the 1-4 Hokages imo. People forget how nerfed he was in his fight vs Naruto.

With that said, I'm fine if someone thinks Kisame is stronger than Sasori as it's extremely close to me. Both have incredible feats and hype behind them.
Who here was cheering for Pain during the Konoha attack. Yes Pain is easliy the top ten fighters in the show he fking introduced the Rin. eyes.

Not gonna lie I was salty when you said you were doing the akatsuki instead of the 7 swordsmen but all of these videos have been very informational and entertaining.. if anything now I'm even more anxious for the swordsman videos

Pain is stronger than ALL Akatsuki members combined. Each Akatsuki member were S Ranked Shinobi who wanted nothing to do with being a part of a team. It took someone as powerful as Pain to subjugate them to act against their will.
No pain is not stronger then all of them combined there are still strong members like obito kisame kakuzu deidara who are all kage level shinobi's so pain is stronger then them one on one except obito but combined no
@@jamesali8476 and where do you get your information???? It was Obito who went to Naruto (When Yamoto and Kakashi tried to capture him) to find out what he said to Nagato to change his mind. And it was Zetsu who expressed surprise because Pain is undefeatable. You need to read the manga and understand a few things:
1. Apart from the 1st Sage, Nagato is the Strongest Rinnegan wielder. He was handpicked by Madara from the entire Uzumaki
2. Before you say Sasuke is the Strongest Rinnegan wielder: bare in mind that Ogoromo never gave Sasuke the Rinnegan, he shared with both Sasuke and Naruto the power of his life force that did two things 1. Awakened the Rinnegan in Sasuke's one eye (Sasuke only received half the life force) and 2. The other half of the life force made Naruto 100% Uzumaki- Now equal to the power of Nagato. Please use facts and not opinions when responding to my posts. Thanks!
If the sage of six paths gave sasuke his life force which caused sasukes rinnegan to appear, that means he gave him the rinnegan... Albeit not directly, but still as an exact result of sharing his chakra with sasuke, he also did this knowing sasuke would get the rinnegan. And I wouldn't say the paths of pain are above all of the akatsuki members combined... That is really reaching. Sage naruto by himself took out 5 of the 6 paths of pain (granted, the one he didn't take out was the strongest). Here's a list of akatsuki members besides pain that sage naruto is weaker than:
Obito (obviously)
Itachi (was casually fighting a stronger naruto and bee at the same time with no issue)
Kisame (absolutely dicked all over bee, a perfect jinchuriki who at that time was stronger than sage naruto)

My point is that, the Itachi we saw in the war wouldn't be the one fighting pain. Kisame and itachi have no counter to the Deva path, who's the biggest threat, if he really wanted to do damage.

A lot of ppl would say that there's no proof genjutsu doesn't work on the rinnegan,but fail to realise that the converse applies to their argument. Sasuke resisted IT,and itachi didn't even think of using genjutsu on nagato(only other time this happened was against kabuto,who was also invulnerable),which supports the invulnerability argument. There's nothing that indicates that visual genjutsu would work on it

Many people underestimate the potential of Nagato. Sure the paths of the six paths weren't as strong as a lot of shit that came in later. But we should all remember that Nagato when he commanded the the six paths was basically a breathing corpse. The only time we really saw what Nagato would be able to if he wasn't half dead, was in his edo Form. Although naruto knew all his powers he could only beat Nagato with the help of itachi, killer bee and even Nagato himself. And that wasn't even his full power as we know the edo body doesn't allow the revived to use his full powers. A healthy Nagato would beat nearly everybody in the show, except for the people in the end fight. I don't think naruto or Sasuke without rikodou powers, or itachi could beat him. Kinda sad we never saw his true potential

This is a bit off but I was reading the last English date book for naruto shippuden and my god it's full of type o lol it says kakuzu was once a proud samurai..🤣 suigetsu was one of two hoshigaki brothers 🤣. And after reading Tobi or in that book madara they make it sound like tobi was supposed to really be madara but they realized it wouldn't sound right or something because they made him into obito. Like the only one eye hole you. Madara used izunai to bring himself back to life he somehow preset it lol but I believe he used the eye that is covered on Tobi mask these some other lil stuff I kinda noticed that makes me think Tobi was going to be madara but idk what happened but I fill like they was like let's make things more interesting when they got close to the war ark. Pain was very powerful, if he fought let’s say 10 years ago, he would solo everyone before war, besides obito with rinnegan and ms, not kyuubi mode naruto, ems sasuke, sage mode naruto, wrecked, but fuck that boruto is op, with only 2 years training, so he’ll be around 13 he’ll probably be able to solo kyuubi mode naruto, karma can suck chakra, kyuubi mode naruto= chakra, he would have some trouble against EMS sasuke because he’s more kenjutsu, and taijutsu, but if boruto learns more types of gentlefist he’ll be able to solo ems sasuke and Nana kyuubi mode just at 13...... when he’s 16 he’ll most def solo sosp mode naruto, and rinnegan sasuke, damn they made boruto op
