Hey thanks all for the nice comments, if you’re in the Toronto area I play in a Smith tribute, you can see our FB page here; facebook.com/thesmithstributetoronto/ come on out to a show sometime, we’ll be adding this one to our set.
Well played!! This is the best played version on the internet by far.....the right notes and the right feel. It's just a shame we cant see your left hand.
Thanks for this version, I have been playing this song in standard tuning from the complete smiths songbook for years and although it sounded ok I will be working on the one in your video clip from now on. Absolutely beautiful sounding chords. I wonder why the chords aren't in open tuning on the original song sheets though, I have a Coldplay songbook and many of their earlier songs are shown in open tuning on the songsheets.I guess Johnny Marr's guitar lines are too difficult even with standard chords sometimes! Keep up your excellent work.
Wow i love this cover, the best that i've heard, i'm sus cribed and like...Can u give me the permission to use this as a backingtrack for a vocal cover ??? I'll give you the credits THATS FOR SURE!... Thx for this piece of art.
Hey Jim I thought I’d answered at least once in the comments that this site www.smithsonguitar.com/2008/09/stretch-out-and-wait.html has tabs and lots of great resources. As for the tuning it’s open E, I capo it at the 2nd, so notes would be EBEG#BE. Thanks for the compliment.
Hey all if you’re looking for tabs etc.... check out this site www.smithsonguitar.com/2008/09/stretch-out-and-wait.html. Tunning for this is open E; EBEG#BE

You play very well. Consistent. Smooth, fluid with a lot of feeling. You put music into into not just repeating tablature.
Thanks!
you couldn't resist playing headmaster ritual at the end lol 😂 sounds like it was gonna be really good too if you did an encore

I know you have already been asked several times by others, but I'll try as well - will you provide the tuning and tabs for this. Very well done!
