The more I see of this game the more excited I get, this game has gone through the long haul from feeling like a simple little tech demo project, to a full blown indie game that feels AA. The quality is just superb and I really hope there is early access this year, I want to see people playing and enjoying this gem, but there is no rushing this game’s development as it still is a small team, so all we can do is hope. But in this stage it look early access material to me.
I'm sure the question if Paramount will try to come after the game due to the 2005 design, they do own the rights to that design after all. Hopefully if that does happen, we can still have the option to switch between the designs since they did make their own design should Paramount throw a tantrum.

They perfectly captured the atmosphere of the 2005 movie, and I agree that I prefer the tripods from that era too. I would love a mode that has all 3 at random and in tandem.
If I were to tell you that this game is amazing when it came out with its first video, I would’ve agreed. The amount of progression they made in such a short period of time for the tripod animation is staggering to me and the animation looks and feels exactly how they move in the 2005 film and seeing the new video I can now see why a lot of people are saying it is close to early access. They aren’t there yet, but man!…. They are extremely close.
This game is worth the wait. It went from a little indie game to a full on horror survival game that deserves it's place in the genre. I mean imagine a series of tripods and you with your little bastment base and they are outside taking/vaporizing your neighborhood then a day or two later you're neighborhood is all over place and you're stuck surviving while the aliens walking outside. With the designs of the way the lighting/Sounds are. It's quite literally perfect in every way. Its like the movie we never got and get to relive/RP how ever we choose. I mean sure some ascepts are janky or odd looking but in the grand scheme the atmospheric use of tripods/the conflict of war of the worlds in full swing its been done well. From the first moments of invasions to the use of nuclear devices/military assets and all the war to the wars end and the fall of the invaders. Its my childhood movie and this dev team is a straight G. Its not some soulless Triple A trash. Its been made with genuine love and appreciation for the movies and the entire fandom prior to the 2005 movies. Hey ill wait to 2025 if they are making this progess. These guys are the next helldivers 2. A little bit of a cult following but still i have no doubt this guy will be having this game streamed everywhere. Its just made too well and its too unique of a title in the survival horror genres. Thanks for your reaction mate. I loved your commentary and you have a really enjoyable voice to listen. I would love to see you do a playthrough and i want to see if i can outlast you. Maybe ill go in the mountains in an RV and go full wildman or hide in the basement while the neighborhood turns to ash and bloodroots. Its rare we get awesome games like Valheim Helldivers Baldurs gate 3 and Hogwarts Legacy and soon hopefully Manorlord will take its place among these legends soon. Cant wait for this aswell. I'm so hyped for this! Makes me more glad I moved to PC since March 2022. And the game honestly looks really intense and scary, like the actual movie from 2005.
I also love what I have seen so far, but I have also seen the infamous "cyberpunk gameplay demo" in 2018.... So. Time will tell. Sonner or later time will tell.

Games quality isnt horrible...nor absolutely amazing, it is perfect.
