When royal said it was a realistic game my very first thought was "oh maybe they will actually make realistic sharks that don't attack humans" and I couldn't have been more hilariously disappointed by the most unrealistic shark behavior I think I have ever seen in a video game.

A tutorial on spear fishing and fish-farming in that tidal pool near the shelter would be cool, as well as a good introduction to predators. The pool’s fish could draw in a snapping turtle, with the tutorial giving a hint that there are worse animals out there. If they added shrimp, mussels, etc, that would be cool, too.
There is a very similar story, about a man who crashed landed on an island, only that he was on a dogfight against a japanese dude with a katana, and there was a giant monkey too.

Prio for survival: water > shelter > food Thats where you messed up, sun exposure kills you by draining water.. Rain kills you through hypothermia.. Looks awesome though, would like to try and play this when it comes out in august
I was both annoyed and amused by that flub. I had to test myself to see how similar we American's say them, and they are painfully similar and would definitely be tough to determine which we're saying to native speakers of Japanese, or other languages in general. I'm from the opposite corner of the north contiguous states from where Royal is from too, so different word whiskers, cadences and accents apply as well. Kih-mo-no (Kuh sometimes) for the dress and Kuh-mo-do for the dragon is how I say them. But TECHNICALLY there's still a SLIGHT difference haha. Still, I too enjoy eating a well cooked Kimono as my preferred underrated source of fiber in my diet. It's a colorful snack, after all.

At 20:18, actually you can shoot arrows with a bow underwater in real life, tho, to be effective you'll need a strong bow thats kinda small and waterproof. A horn bow would very effective at first, but the water will liquify the glue thats holding it together after a for hours. A yew bow (longbow) is too big... But an an oak bow could work and i know there are a bunch of jungle woods that are great too, but im not familiar enough to tell whats best.

I agree, but that is after a LONG amount of time of just dried meats only. He was eating different meats, coconut, banana, and even an energy bar which usually has vitamins added all within a short amount of time in game and it still happened to him. These devs are taking features from other survival games with nothing new. The survival game, "SCUM" has an insanely complex vitamin/amino system forcing you to diversify your diet, but you can see every one of these nutrient levels in game and all of the food and drink items have labels that tell you what they contain so you know what to search for and ingest. This game just dumbed it way down, turned up the severity to super-max speed, and gave you no way of knowing what you are lacking. The human body by itself makes us crave the things we need. Such as salty, sweet, savory, liquids. (HINT to the devs).

This game is so similar it feels like someone ripped the source code right from it and renamed it. But stranded deep seemed way more realism focused than this.

i wish games like this includes flint or silica rock knapping to show you how to make a sharp edge, its such an important aspect of surivial. you can make 99.999% of things ur nails and hands cant make with a razor sharp rock, make an entire fire starting kit, bow drill, cut cord cleanly, gut an animal after u snare it.

Honestly this is right off the bat (Not even a minute in) but I feel like the first intro cutscene took some aspiration from The Forest, and with that being said I feel like it'd be cooler if instead of somehow magically walking right after a helicopter landing, maybe you could black out and wake up a "few" hours later Also yo dude this is your first vid I'm watching so I'm not sure if you have already, but you should definitely check out Conan Exiles. It's another survival game similar to this one.

Unless you're Survivorman, a commando or someone along those lines, the first 8-12 hours after crawling onto a desert island will probably involve sitting in a stunned daze, wandering aimlessly and occasionally breaking down in tears. These games always feel too gamey - like the crash survivor was on a mission to crash and survive for a TV show. "Okay, made it to the beach. Now there's a big stick, some rocks, some coconuts, good, good. Better get a fire going, and I should start on a shelter."
That was a hoot!! I'm looking forward to playing this game. I did put in for early access in Steam and hope to get it. Watching you made me jump a couple of times. So far I have played the games Stranded Deep and GreenHell and love the both of them! Will look to see if you put out any more video's.

This is a lot like My Island, which came out on Steam a while back. Anyway, much further along. Backpack and Crafting mechanics are better implemented. Grow crops. You can smelt ore, make gunpowder & craft yourself a rifle pretty quickly. Several biomes to choose from at start. Cost is $15 right now. Beautiful music. It's a very engaging island survival sim from a single developer who's still actively updating the game. No I'm not an affiliate, just a fan. I wouldn't call it hardcore, but it does have difficulty settings and I've been killed fighting crocodiles more times than I can count. I know she's added animals which can be trained to help you travel or fight predators. The raft steering is much easier too 😉

I love the concept! Certainly needs more cooking before I hop in! But I see the potential. Honestly it looks like it is designed with VR in mind. If it is, I will get the vr version most likely! 😊
Unless you're Survivorman, a commando or someone along those lines, the first 8-12 hours after crawling onto a desert island will probably involve sitting in a stunned daze, wandering aimlessly and occasionally breaking down in tears. These games always feel too gamey - like the crash survivor was on a mission to crash and survive for a TV show. "Okay, made it to the beach. Now there's a big stick, some rocks, some coconuts, good, good. Better get a fire going, and I should start on a shelter."
That was a hoot!! I'm looking forward to playing this game. I did put in for early access in Steam and hope to get it. Watching you made me jump a couple of times. So far I have played the games Stranded Deep and GreenHell and love the both of them! Will look to see if you put out any more video's.

This is a lot like My Island, which came out on Steam a while back. Anyway, much further along. Backpack and Crafting mechanics are better implemented. Grow crops. You can smelt ore, make gunpowder & craft yourself a rifle pretty quickly. Several biomes to choose from at start.
Cost is $15 right now. Beautiful music. It's a very engaging island survival sim from a single developer who's still actively updating the game.

I wouldn't call it hardcore, but it does have difficulty settings and I've been killed fighting crocodiles more times than I can count. I know she's added animals which can be trained to help you travel or fight predators. The raft steering is much easier too 😉
