Videos are awesome!!! Please keep them coming. I am currently enrolled in SDI to be a gunsmith and just completed the Hydro dipping class and loved it. Could you do a video on prepping the scope for dipping? and what type of tape you used for it? I want to dip my scope at home but do not want to ruin a $1300.00 scope.
Bryan, thanks for doing these videos, they are excellent! Question on the turret caps - does the film just have a natural separation there when you unscrew them after? Or do you have to do something in prep so they don't get stuck?
Most of the time as long as you dont hammer on the paint or clear, the turret cap will unscrew like normal. The film adds no thickness to the coating. Its the paint, primer and clear coat that you have to worry about. Also if you are worried, you can always be very careful and take a razor blade or knife and cut around the seam to help break any barrier that may have formed.
...I’m loving this channel...that turned out really cool. I would not of even dreamed you could do that let alone having the guts to even try! but damn that was magic! thanks Liquid💧Concepts
Hello Bryan thanks a lot for teaching us all these videos . my question is how to dip a bike ?and if there is any available video describing how to do that i will be grateful for you
Brian, at 9:30, as you point out the line on the bottom, it looks like one half is darker than the other side? Is that just the color in the pattern? Or is that something else? I ask because it's a single dip and roll, and I've only seen this happen in a double dip where the amount of activator differed between dips. I didn't know if the activator may have laid down lighter on one part of the water here? Thanks. Also, I received my order from liquid concepts and everything looks fantastic!! Shipping the film on a roll and boxed up is the way to go! So many places fold the film like paper to ship it, and I've read lots of reviews of ppl complaining about creases, liquid concepts does not give the customer that hassle. Thanks again!
Love your videos. I am just learning but really enjoy this. A couple questions. On gun stocks light sanding, prime and base coat? Than clear after I assume. I don’t have a rinse booth so can I use a hose? I also noticed that you really agitate the piece when you get it under the water. When I have tried that it seems to lift up the design. Keep up the great videos because I will keep watching😁
Yes that seems correct on gun stocks. You can rinse with anything that has running water including your water hose. If your design is coming off after you dip it and still under water, you have an activator problem where your probably not applying enough activator.
How long after you put your base coat do you dip because my film is falling off after I dip and pull it out the water I’m dipping 24 hrs after I base coat
With the paint that we use, we can dip within 1 min. or so after its dry to the touch. Normally if your dip is falling off the part its either 1. Too much activator 2. Wrong type of paint was used.
As long as you dip it and let it dry your good as far as electronics however if you have a red dot sight or something I’d be more worried about how it appears in the scope after the dip. Don’t wanna have any blurry image for some strange reason. Your not gonna be able to return it to the manufacturer afterwords.

Excellent results as usual!! Good job Liquid Concepts LLC!!!
Thanks again!
What did you put in the seam were the scope focus turns. So the film don't cover it. Same with the 2 screw caps. So when you un screw. Thanks
What type of plugs did you use to protect the lenses?
Awesome work Bryan
Thanks!

How do you cover the small numbers on a scope to hydro dip with out getting any on it. How do you prep.

I believe we have one. I will see if we can get it up for you!

Wow, that turned out great!
Thank you!
Your work is amazing. Congratulations
Thank you very much!
How do you cost the scope what's the process of the white color?
Are the trees on that scope going sideways rather vertical as he said earlier in the video? 🤔

Did you cut the seams on the adjustment covers with a razor

too much activator if your print is oozing away.

This looks great! How much is it typically to hydro dip a scope, assuming the customer provides the print he wants?
Pricing will range from $150-$200 in most cases. We actually prefer to provide all the supplies
Your gloves look good too
Very nice I wish this is possible in Holland
do you have to prime the items first ?
Yes we always do!
Really nice how much do you charge
Shoot us an email and we can get you a price on what you want done. info@liquidconcepts.com
what did you make the object plug out of
I'd like to know how you made that plug too. Thanks!

What is the white? Is it primer?
This is the white base coat that was applied after we primered.
Is hydro dipping a lucrative business?
"Emersion" ;)
Yes there is always a few ways to say that!
