BIG SHOUT OUT!!! TO VINCENT PATTERSON!! He was the last-minute hired choreographer. He literally only had 21 days to choreograph the entire show, beginning to end!!!! Amazingly, this whole show was put together in about 5 weeks. 3 weeks of choreography rehearsals and 2 weeks of tech rehearsals. The outcome was groundbreaking and unique. Vincent deserves so much more credit for this. Madonna and Vincent P. made history with their vision. Thank you, VINCENT, for pushing Madonna to allow you to do your thing and allowing her to interpret everything you had to offer. It still holds up today and continues to be watched over and over.
When the whole set rose from nothing… it was the most spine tingling start to any concert. Like everyone here, the creativity, the ambition…just incredible ❤❤❤

You wanna know the good thing about the early 90s. There was no UA-cam to spoil everything. Now a days you can watch a whole entire tour on UA-cam before it even hits your city.
That’s also part of the problem, though… like, unless you’re completely in-tune, in the “know”, in the “loop”, subscribed to every website and social media outlet possible, you won’t even know if certain artists are coming! And if it’s a bigger, more prominent tour event, if you don’t hear about it WELL in advance, it’ll sell out before you even have a chance to consider going. That’s not even counting the fact that tickets are in the several thousands for front row seats nowadays. Meaning the nosebleed seats are several HUNDRED. Not sure how people afford it… and yet everyone says if you’re “truly” a fan of an artist, you’ll just splurge and spend the money, no matter what the cost. Well…that’s if you can. lol.
I saw this same concert at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA in June 1990 just days after this performance. I will never forget this concert until the day I die. Thank you William!
This tour is vital for the human race revolution. That was the night she almost got arrested for her Like A Virgin maturation number.
The quality on this is AMAZING! And it was the infamous second night in Toronto. I used to have this on VHS back in the day, but this is a superior version by far.

It was a Hi-8 Canon camera, I wonder if you got the tape from me. I use to street vend on Young St in Toronto in the late 80's early 90's. I shot two nights in a row

I think she was nervous about being arrested and that's why she kept messing up keep it together. That and the guy running on the stage. She knew that after the song finishes police might be waiting to take her to a cell... Thankfully they didn't!

I love hearing the isolated conversations and singing in the audience. 🎵living in a material world🎶🎼 lol. This was so much fun to watch. Like really being there.
For me, out of all the concert during BAT, this is the best, she was more expressive and also with this angle of the video, I can still feel how ahead this whole concert in terms of concept and executions.
I love her vocals on 'Hanky Panky' in this particular show of the tour!!

I appreciate watching the show with minor flaws and M forgetting lyrics and correcting herself in Keep It Together. Saw her laughing a lot. Meaning she may have still been a bit nervous about the Police standing nearby. She did not know if she would still be charged or arrested. I heard she left town immediately after the show and was in Detroit a couple hours later.

Thank you for uploading this! Absolute best quality non-official recording, and it's of that infamous night she was threatened with arrest. You can see her trolling the cops all throughout the show, especially during the Dick Tracy segment. "What's a girl have to do to get *arrested* in this town?"

Is this the first time she did the "ugh, ugh" part when she mock humps Slam when he's on his back? I know she was already doing it by the time she hit Europe, but wasn't sure when she started doing it in N. America.

She didn’t do it the night before this show. She surely added it to provoke the police and you can clearly see that she grinned immediately after she did it. I guess she thought that it worked and decided to keep it for all the rest of the tour :)

The original master was Hi-8 actually. And yeah it’s from the master although UA-cam crunches it down quite a bit. I shot it, as I mention in the details. I shot all the shows on my channel. I also offer a higher resolution copy. See my tip jar.

Great video, Will. Really curious how the heck you managed to keep it so steady though. Especially if it was zoomed in. Whenever I've seen camcorder footage of concerts before, the image is shaking around all over the place. Especially when its zoomed in. Its impossible not to have a shaky video in that instance. Your video here looks like you were using a tripod. Were you? Did you work at the venue or something? Or did you stabilise the image in software and crop off the edges ? Either way, it worked. :D
That’s very kind. I used a Manfrotto Magic Arm, (with a fluid head) which is like a tripod that you can mount to things like a concert seat armrest. To get in the gear, typically I used a Corningware cookware box that I emptied out then packed in the camera and accessories, then crazy glued clear plastic to make it look shrink wrapped. It looked like I was twofering a shopping trip with a concert.
On many of my videos I use either 3rd party stabilization software (but not this one I don’t think), or UA-cam also used to offer stabilization as a post upload option.
