Great video! NBA Jam is a classic especially when it comes to cheat codes! I especially love how utterly playable every single console adaptation was. This was one of those games where you barely noticed the differences between the arcade version on whatever system (despite there being quite a lot of them) because it is just so much fun to play in any form. I want to play it right now.
Please make an abridged part two- I would love to see you talk about all of the crazy unlockable characters and everyone who had to be removed. Sure, it wouldn't be focused on cheat codes, per se, but it would still be fun!
We didnt get to play the cabinets, just the snes tournament edition and i remember bill clinton being the best player. We tried most of them and whoever got him would always win. Hillay and prince charles also played very well. Would love to play with the guys from mortal kombat, that was nuts
The animation for getting fouled in Slam-Dunk always tickles me. Favorite sports game of this era? Probably Super Dodge Ball on NES. Amazing video!! Keep up the great work!!
Great video Kyle, I learned a ton from this one! It wasn't exactly the 80s, but this was my favourite sports game alongside International Superstar Soccer Deluxe (I know, terrible name, but trust me, it was good). Also, I like how your videos feel like a continuation of one another; I feel like I appreciated this video more thanks to already have seen your Mortal Kombat and Big Head Mode ones. Keep up the great stuff!
The first sports game I played was this hockey game for Genesis. It was pretty fun, and every once in a while it would change to a side on view of two players and you got to punch the shit out of eachother
Fantastic video, as usual! Oh, and that old c=64 soccer game? I used to have It on *cartridge*, and it was the very First soccer\football videogame I've ever played. But my favourite was Microprose Soccer, I used to play It with my brothers on Saturdays from early afternoon till night (and sometimes till Sunday morning...) Sweet nostalgia... 😁
Yes, it's true. It was the only C=64 game we had on cartridge and we used to play it a lot because there was no loading time - the alternative was waiting for over a hour for Panic64 to load, it was a time before turbo-loaders and turbo-tapes ;)
The bad thing about the tank game, I remember was that if you did it after paying and you died, it was game over. And you never got to play the main game...
A lot of this felt sort of rehashed from the Bighead mode video, I'm surprised the emphasis was on NBA Jam and not Midway's overall arcade password inclusions. It'd be good to see a longform video for Midway's cheats. I would like to see fresh topics and something not solely focused on western gaming. Love the channel but everything is U.S. based, would very much enjoy some observations from other countries too.
I remember on the super nes version you could continuously do a circular motion on the d-pad and press a combination of 2 different buttons to reveal a certain code. I cant remember exactly what is was tho...maybe "on fire" or maybe dunk from anywhere on the court
The announcer can even be commissioned to say stuff for you if you like. A popular Super Mario Maker and Super Mario speedrunner commissioned him to say a bunch of memes!
I'm a Bulls fan and always picked them in NBA Jam. It was bad enough that Jordan wasn't in it... now I learn that the developers sabotaged my team! I'm coming after you, you scumbagos!
My guess is the channel didn't gain as much traction as he had hoped. His MK and Doom videos did pretty well but the two most recent ones after that bombed hard. These documentary-style videos typically take a long time to make so it was probably just too much to bother with.

It's true! The graphics and sound take a bit of a hit on SNES, but it's still absolutely fun to play no matter what you're using!
these documentary style gaming videos really hit home for me. Feels like old G4. I wish you'd come back
I love these documentary style videos. Good job!
Turmell coding against the Bulls and in favor of the Pistons seems petty as hell. Good video.
Please make an abridged part two- I would love to see you talk about all of the crazy unlockable characters and everyone who had to be removed. Sure, it wouldn't be focused on cheat codes, per se, but it would still be fun!
Great video as always dude! Keep it up.
We didnt get to play the cabinets, just the snes tournament edition and i remember bill clinton being the best player. We tried most of them and whoever got him would always win. Hillay and prince charles also played very well. Would love to play with the guys from mortal kombat, that was nuts
The arcade cabinet is a blast to play, but the SNES version of TE has a special place in my heart!
You have the best videogame docs on Ytube, man!
You have one of the best gaming channels on the entire UA-cam!
The whole thing? Thanks friend, I appreciate it!
@@CodexShow yes, haha. Wish I could make quality content like yours. Here in Brazil I can't find the same thing, unfortunately.
The animation for getting fouled in Slam-Dunk always tickles me. Favorite sports game of this era? Probably Super Dodge Ball on NES. Amazing video!! Keep up the great work!!
The full on, ass over teakettle rolling gets me every time.
Digitized graphics phase of gaming was probably one of the best
I miss this kind of cheats in today games
now u gotta buy em as microtransactions...
I think the first one (or Tournament Edition) is one of the greatest games of all times
I always got a kick out of playing as Bill Clinton on the Sega Genesis. Good times.
Him and George "P. Funk" Clinton
THE KING HAS RETURNED
Once again, you nailed it again, Kyle! This is a good video!
Quality over quantity. Keep 'em up!
Thank you! I really appreciate it :)
Is this the real one? The final version?
Sorry about that, had to fix an error. This one's back up for good! :)

Thanks Andrés, I appreciate the support! :) Hahah I'll have to check out that soccer game for sure!
It was a special time...and this is a special game in video game history. Miss Midway so much.
The first sports game I played was this hockey game for Genesis. It was pretty fun, and every once in a while it would change to a side on view of two players and you got to punch the shit out of eachother
maybe the sonic debug mode would be a nice pick for the next episode
I'm honestly shocked that I had never known about the Tank mini-game. Especially considering what it did! lol
This was a dope ass video bro 👏🏽💯 great job
Apologies for the re-upload! This one's here to stay. I was advised of a pretty serious issue which has now been fixed! Thanks for watching this one!
Color me curious. Spill!
You nuked it while I was in the middle of watching it! :(
what was the issue? i watched the whole original and i haven't seen anything weird!
@@ebridgewater There was an incorrectly labeled game ;)
Arch-Rivals was labeled as being released in 2002 by Neversoft. Big oof.

You had International Soccer on cart? Dang! I used to play it a fair bit, same with Slam-Dunk :)

Sound design was fucking on point this episode my man. Good job.
New video out!! Woohoo! 'Been waiting for so long! :)
Hahah I know, sorry! Life's been busy :)
NBA Jam was my favorite game on SNES. I always played as the ape :)
The 90s great era
Best
Boom-shak-a-laka!
Nba Jam 4-Life 💯
Dunked this one bro. Great Job
Thank you my dude :)
Amazing stuff.
The bad thing about the tank game, I remember was that if you did it after paying and you died, it was game over.
And you never got to play the main game...
Bases Loaded, Second Season for the NES is my favorite all time classic sports game.
Channel was great while it lasted.
MY FAVORITE SPORST IS HORACE GOES ICE GLIDING FOR THE ZEDDEX SPECTRUM
1:00 - For those who didn't grow up in the 90s, "bad" meant good back then lol.
Great video bro! Keep up the good work!
I remember being told if you entered MJJ Feb 17 would unlock Michael Jordan, I wish it did though
muy bueno! que recuerdos
Awesome video :D

NBA Jam was my fav. fame on sega and still played on sega emulator
SNO Jan 3 for Sheridan Oursler had been in my brain for 25 years
The announcer can even be commissioned to say stuff for you if you like. A popular Super Mario Maker and Super Mario speedrunner commissioned him to say a bunch of memes!
The classic A.I.R. start A for the Sega Genesis 😏
I’ve been waiting for years… why is he not posting for a veryyy long time?!
why didn't i get a notification (i pressed the bell from the beginning)
Favorite sports game is Mutant League Football.
fun fact: When using either Clinton character you can get your opponent to "commit suicide"
The original double tap before cod
Could swear I've seen this
I always used the Cheat code(s) to play as the Beastie Boys. The Beastie boys had stats WAY better than the NBA players!
Where is the footage from 06:54-07:07 from?
I'm a Bulls fan and always picked them in NBA Jam. It was bad enough that Jordan wasn't in it... now I learn that the developers sabotaged my team!
I'm coming after you, you scumbagos!
Yea haterz
please come back
Do a documentary of guitar hero.
Didn't I just watch this an hour ago?
Sorry about that, had to fix an error. This one's back up for good! :)
where are you my guy? why'd you stop?
My guess is the channel didn't gain as much traction as he had hoped. His MK and Doom videos did pretty well but the two most recent ones after that bombed hard. These documentary-style videos typically take a long time to make so it was probably just too much to bother with.
The best code was when you can super dunk from anywhere
The greatest game of all time.

Another great Chanel died :(
Hey man you're channel needs a revival
C'mon it's been a year or so
Can we expect new content?
Probably never, I'm thinking this channel was abandoned because it didn't gain as much traction as he had hoped.
Too bad there isn’t more views and more videos...
