I'm an American. I find it hard to believe that these 2 need more security when visiting England. They must have massive egos to believe that they are special and extremely important. Who do they imagine is coming for them? They should want to hide simply because anyone can get a gun (legally or illegally) here in the States. They both need therapy with a licensed person who has common sense.
You have perfectly described the symptoms of narcissitic personality disorder; they have an unreasonably high sense of self-importance and require constant, excessive admiration and feel that they deserve privileges and special treatment.

Everything Harry and Meghan do is with an ulterior motive. On the last visit, Harry was invited by King Charles to stay in one of the royal residences where there's around the clock armed security. Harry refused preferring to go to a hotel which indicates to me that this is not about security.

I wouldn't doubt that the King has M15/M16 somewhere in the mix of their American security - a security intelligence team probably embedded in the Biden side of things. The Biden admin and the majority of countries around the globe provide some amount of security for Aitch, his evil wife and his invisible kids whether working royals or not. Big difference, Beckham has earned everything he now enjoys (fame, popularity, position, wealth); Harry has earned nothing, simply squandered what he was born with and yet still feels entitled to. Beckham showed impressive loyalty to the RF by waiting in line with all the regular folks for over 12 hours to view QEII’s coffin. Such a difference compared to Harry barging in and making demands about his role, uniform, status etc. during the lying in state and funeral. Not to mention his egregious violation of privacy and trust by including his last moments with QEII after she died in his book of horrors Spare. No wonder KCIII has welcomed Beckham into the Royal fold so warmly.

So why is Hawwy being allowed to sue the UK for IPP status, when the UK has no unilateral power to change the qualifications? Am I missing something here?
There is such a thing as diplomatic immunity which presumably stems from IPP status. An official diplomat assigned to a host country, cannot be prosecuted by that host country. But H is not a diplomat. He has no right to IPP status .
If he does get IPP he can do whatever he wants and get away with it! Look how many other things they've done without even a slap on the wrist... such entitlement. So sick of these two!

If, as I believe H & Co get police protection in USA why do they not take the “invisible” children out there, when they are covered. This was all discussed at the Sandringham Summit. He was told by the Queen that there was no half in and half out, and if he left he would lose all his military titles, Royal Patronages AND 24/7 SECURITY. He now has to do as he is told and give thirty days notice if he wants to come to the UK and that his security needs will be provided on a case by case basis as is deemed necessary. THE END.
I guess he feels his father is more of a pushover than HMTLQ was. If she were still alive, they would have been put in their places a long time ago! He has a short window of opportunity to get all he wants before his brother becomes King and then all bets are off imo. The 30 notice is to give RAVIC time to determine the security risk and type of security he is entitled to. If his visit is in a personal capacity he wouldn’t get security if the threat level is low. If he is in the UK for a royal event he would get security. But it could only entail to and from the airport, at the event, between locations and on royal grounds.

Canadian here. From what I gathered, at the time H and M came to Canada they had security, RCMP?, provided by the Canadian government, thus the Canadian taxpayer. It was leaked that security members were send on a coffee run which greatly angered Canadians and their Canadian security here was withdrawn.
Security is provided on a case-by-case basis. It has not been cut entirely. You know that.

When he flew in to see his dad he was greeted at Heathrow by 2 black police Range Rovers with armed police in attendance and then returned in the same style.
He wasn’t returned in the same style. The only reason he had the police cars etc from Heathrow was that the King had other things to do. The helicopter pilot who was flying the King and Queen to Sandringham were keen to leave before it got dark as the weather was closing in.

I think it is laughable that Harry thinks that the UK isnt safe but will happily visit countries that The Foreign Office advise travellers not to visit because they are unsafe. The headline makes it sound that Harry is entitled to taxpayer security all the time with separate security details for his wife and children.
He chose to live in the USA and to give up his Royal status so he cannot reasonably expect to keep all the perks of his previous job. He can pay for private security just like every other celebrity. Lately the news headlines are being fed with old PR stories to gain more sympathy for the happy couple. They have run out of recent news stories, and the ones that appear are just about her ARO, jam and dog biscuits. The news tweeks the headlines to make them look recent, (clickbait) but if one reads the articles attached to them, one finds out it is old news, not worthy of reading.
This is the issue with most media, they do not lie, but how they spin the truth is always open to interpretation. It is just a game they play with us in order to draw readers to their publications. It is an age old tactic.
With regards their security issues, if they were to visit the UK, a risk assessment will be carried out, forms of and routes of travel will be advised/recommended. If there is elevated risk in their schedule whilst in the UK, they are advised accordingly. As with any dignitary visiting the UK a certain level will be provided by the state, any further enhancements will be provided by themselves subject to UK laws and agreements of what they may use to support their security. This is standard.
So what Harry claims are twaddle. I know he feels entitled and is a spoiled brat, but sorry Harry, not everything in life is free.
I'm an American and I read this headline as as *new* security cut. It's implication is that he's suffering an additional reduction in government protection. Also, I've always assumed his emphasizing the threat to wife and children are racially motivated...which I highly doubt. It reeks of self-aggrandizment.
My first reaction was "great, don't come!" My second reaction was that the children are still only alleged. I would like to know why they are still on the Royal website in the line of succession when their legitimacy has not been proved. Is this ever going to happen? Will we, the people of the Commonwealth, ever have proof of the legitimacy of these two alleged children?
As far as I'm aware he gets taxpayer-funded security IF he comes back for a royal event - obviously if they come back to the UK to visit the King they will automatically get full security. I've heard some say it is the IPP status he wants back, but isn't that a different entity/department.

I remember a comment from a year or two ago regarding IPP rules, if you deliberately say or do something that highers the risk of endangerment then up you will will not be permitted to have IPP.
