We in America will be very unhappy if it’s true
As an American I'm just glad the queen never saw it, though I wish she was still here. The fact that neither Henry nor Rachel knew the queen wouldn't be around to see it, makes the disrespect all the worse. Henry has made a big deal about feeling bad that he hadn't wanted to talk to his mom while playing, on her last phone call to him. Yet seems to feel no guilt about refusing his grandmother when she asked him to come see her a few days before she passed away. He brought all of this heartache to his grandmother starting with the first Oprah interview while his grandfather was in the hospital dying, only to be released to die at home. COVID hit, and we will sadly all remember how tiny and frail the queen looked mourning all by herself at his funeral. She dedicated her whole life to her country and Henry and Rachel tried to destroy it all. Henry who took an oath swearing to protect and honor the queen.
I think we all now realize just how hard the palace has to work all these years to keep Henry looking good and PR sinned positively, to the point he was considered the most popular royal. No one knew how mentally off he was, nor guessed just how disloyal of a type of person he is.
I remember hearing she actually learned how to bow for an audition years ago. Not to mention she went to a teacher in America to teach her proper etiquette. She obviously learned nothing. When she had her podcast she was trying to talk about strong women who have had a positive influence on the world, yet never mentioned the one who ran the UK for over 70 years.
I really do think this Markle woman is quite disturbed.She seems to lack all self awareness and is totally self-obsessed. Her behaviour is pathological.Also she is basically an ignoramus with a very thin veneer of superficial and fake sophistication.
I have to correct one of the comment in this video about how she thinks that the royal family does nothing. The royal family does plenty for the country by promoting and funding the charities that benefit the country and the world at large, e.g. the Prince's Trust which is now the King's Trust, the Earshot prize, Homelessness projects, Early Years Centre etc. In addition, the royal family yield soft power for which the UK government utilises to improve the UK's political, economic and military ties with the foreign countries. The royal family is a brand that is synonymous with the UK and their brand value is worth billions to the country via tourism, promoting interest from oversea media etc. E.g. the Coronation, the late Queen's funeral, Royal weddings attracted tourists and world media alike which pump millions into the local economy.
Another issues that most people including the UK citizens don't understand fully is the royal family's finances. The royal family's finances are nothing to do with the UK taxpayers except for their security cost. Bear in mind that the security cost would be the same for any Head of State whether if it is the monarch or not. The Sovereign Grant is 15-25% of the income generated by the Crown's Estate which is under the ownership of the King so essentially the Crown fund for itself and the Sovereign Grant is not used for the royal family itself but for the upkeep of historic palaces, staffing costs associated with functioning of the palaces and for functions associated with royal duties such as hosting foreign dignitaries, hosting investiture ceremony etc. Their private income comes from the Duchy of Lancaster for the Monarch and Duchy of Cornwall for the Prince of Wales respectively which fund for the daily expenses of the royal family. So, people needs to research a bit more to become educated before making opinions because uneducated opinions are not helpful.
This wasn’t MM being ignorant, this was her being abusive and degrading.

Yes, she tried to say it was showing her fun side. In reality she was doing to undermind, degrade and bully, then act coy and innocent which she uses to defend her poor behaviour.

I agree with you totally. The fact that Harry allowed Meghan to behave like that knowing it would be given worldwide coverage shows just how alike he and she are in my opinion. I find them both to be extremely disrespectful and offensive in their behaviour. Any backlash they receive as a result of this can only be laid at their own door. As a UK citizen I would personally like to thank our American and Commonwealth friends for joining with us in calling out their unwarranted and despicable behaviour.

As an American, I do not appreciate MM justifying her insulting behavior by stating that Americans would “get” her rude comments. She is a an embarrassment to America on an international scale. Her deliberate belittling of Queen Elizabeth and the royal family is unforgivable! Americans will not tolerate her. As opposed to cancel culture as I am, MM has justifiably been canceled stateside!

I'm an American. Anyone who ever watched more than 30 seconds of video of the Royal Family KNOWS what a bow/curtsy looks like. In fact, I've seen youtube compilations of Meghan doing proper curtsies on Suits and other videos. She KNOWS how to curtsy.. Her mocking the Queen and the Royal Family that she willingly married into was disgusting.

I don't know just what he was doing. He's not particularly well-mannered himself. It looked as though he was a bit embarrassed by his wife making a spectacle of herself, and feeling a bit unsure of how he should react to her blatant, public lying. She had the smug look of someone who knows she'll get away with it, because he doesn't have the guts to stop her dead in her tracks and tell her to stop making up crap for the TV cameras.
One sad example does not brand the entire nation .
Meghan's behavior was horrendous. I was embarrassed for her. The Queen did nothing but welcome her into the family. In my opinion, Meghan has no class.

I am British living in Australia, I don’t regard all Americans as Meghan portrays. them. She was disrespectful to the Queen, I am so disgusted with her but am more disgusted with Harry for not telling her to stop and to actually smile, if it was MY grandmother I would be be absolutely furious, how it could be allowed to air by him I do not know. Meghan should be stripped of her title if that is possible.

I'm an American and hate that she bulldozed her way into British culture and politics without grace, nuance, and care, yet she screams racism for being a bully. If I were a Brit, I would be pissed that an average American cable actress is bossing us around, screwing with traditions, abusing taxpayer funds, and disrespecting England. I certainly dislike British ex-prince ridiculing the First Amendment, lying, breaking the rules (doing things that average Joe couldn't get away with), and bossing us around. We didn't fight a whole revolutionary war for ex-prince and his American wife using their British titles that don't have much power in the US.

I an American who has a deep respect for the Royal Family. I was so horrified, not only with Meghan, but with Harry just SITTING there, that I can never forgive or respect either one of them.
I’m an American & I find her behavior despicable. Harry is certainly no better.
Meghan Markle lied to the late Queen, telling her she would serve the monarchy, she never had to take on royal duties, and she even began them BEFORE marrying Henry, a thing which never happened before. The institution bent over backward to give Meghan Markle advantages no one marrying into the royal family had before her, AND YET she began disrespecting the family as soon as she had the ring on her finger, refusing to curtsy to the Queen Elizabeth II in the wedding ceremony, when she had done so during rehearsals, the late Queen's expression said it all. Meghan Markle wants all the benefits of being royal without doing any of the work. During her time (17 months) she hardly had any engagements and only wanted to do the 'glamorous' jobs and drove her staff to quit en masse. A horrible person, and Henry is horrible to be her partner in disparaging not only his family, but the nation that gave him EVERYTHING he has.
They each got the partner they deserved . Long live their marriage, to the detriment of both . They deserve it.

If she cut off her families from both sides, What would she know about respecting our late Queen Elizabeth 11? Our late Queen was not her Grandmother.
As an Australian I find this type of behaviour from a grown adult disgusting. She has no filter, no manners and is nothing but a lier.
As a Brit, watching Meghan push herself forward, manhandle Baldy, dress totally inappropriately, smirking nonstop at the cameras as she failed in all her duties was sooo cringeworthy. When the awful twosome left the U.K. there was the hope they would show some independence, some maturity.

I believe she really thought it was funny, light and showing what a hugger she was, but it never was right, something was wrong if you wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt - it was the smug look. Actually, you see this same behaviour of taking the p* out of the Queen, British & monarchy in 40\40 she thought she got away with it. It went under the radar since Mellissa McCarthy was the stooge - but I found it particularly derogatory and belittling towards the Queen. It was the parody of mocking the Queen, a woman of age who should have had been respected, not someone accepted into the Royal Family. The woman is a bitch !

As a 70+ yr old USA 🇺🇸 citizen. mm sickens me to my core. When she did that horrible thing and talked like all “Americans” would agree. I honestly wanted to cry or vomit. I have loved QE2 and Anne! When Anne told the kidnapper, Not Bloody Likely! She made me love her! I have nothing but respect and love for UK and the Royal Family. I hate how m made us look at stupid as she is.
I'm English and can assure you that the majority of us know that meghan was not speaking for all Americans as she stated during this appalling and shameful mocking of our Queen, an elderly lady coming to the end of her life and of our country's traditions. Personally I thought that she was disrespectful to many Americans too, by implying that all Americian people are as close minded and disrespectful as she and her husband are.
It has been really heartwarming though, seeing the support so many American (and other nationalities of course) show, not only to our late Queen, but our country and its ancient traditions.

An American here- I don’t consider either of them to be particularly bright, but her comments about greeting the Queen are not about ignorance. For those who don’t understand the reference to Medieval Times-. Medieval Times is a themed restaurant/ dinner show where the food is served without utensils, and you eat with your hands. The show has jousting and other comedic features. She was mocking the Queen. Even if you don’t care about the royal family, you must recognize that she was mocking her husband’s grandmother and entire family. This was absolutely disgusting. No Meghan- Americans are not cruel, disrespectful, undignified people. Most Americans understand how to show proper respect to others.

Harry’s face as she did it says it all. A look of disgust. She poked fun at his “beloved grandmother” and he stayed silent. It’s clear that Meghan tried to do everything she could to belittle and mock our Queen, who was grieving her husband.

As an American, I am totally in completely appalled by her behavior, mocking queen, Elizabeth, of all people. I think that Harry’s wife that is always her go to is to book the system, and then turn around and say that they never fully accepted her when she did everything she possibly could to go against the grid and not hidden. As for Harry, he is exactly the same as her! I believe that the palace has been covering up his behavior ever since he was a young child, and I think now it’s time for everyone to realize this is the real Harry. Her own story, previously told on Oprah, was that Fergie taught her how to curtsey. Fergie, who despite her faults has never been rude about her husband's family, would have taught her the "bob" that we in the UK know a curtsy to be. The dishonesty is what bothers me. Her real problem with the curtsey is that protocol would have required her to curtsey not just to the Queen, but to Catherine too and in time to Catherine's children. It's a marker of respect of the office, not the person. Americans know this from their own rules of protocol.

I'm an American Mid-westerner with 20% British Isles DNA; no Medieval Times in my neck of the woods. I've always had great respect for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Clearly, Meghan never did. She does not speak for me as an American nor as a woman of color. I learned to curtsy at the age of three when I said my first Christmas speech at Church. Her pretentious ignorance made me cringe.

After the last census, which demonstrated that Brazil already has a predominantly black population, we would never mock the descendants of the beloved Princess Isabel, who signed the abolition of slavery, and made Brazil a country of certain relevance on the political scene, with the immense arrival ofJapanese, Italian, Spanish and Lebanese immigrants, and we would still be eternally grateful to Dona Leopoldina of Austria, our first Empress, and her husband, Dom Pedro IV of Portugal, our first Emperor, who fought fiercely for Brazil's independence. The thing that is really disgusting about this is that clip was recorded BEFORE the Queen died with the intention that the Queen would actually see it. At the point of recording it they didn’t know that the Queen would not be alive to see it. I don’t know what she was wanting to achieve - was it to hurt a 96 year old Queen with ill health- whatever, a don’t have a word to describe that unacceptable, disrespectful, disgusting, deliberate spite. She would position herself to walk in front of the Queen. Then she has the nerve try and diminish her rude, mannerless behavior as an American thing. I truly hope people of the UK understand that the majority in the US are ashamed and embarrassed by her conduct.

That look on Harry's face says one thing and one thing only, "This is the bed which I made, and now I must lay." He knows he made a huge error, he was in love, and he supported the woman he loved, and all she has done is ridicule him, his heritage and his family, and while he may have went along initially due to some deep seated issues that he obviously had, this is the point of no return that he realises what he gave up, and for whom, and regrets that decision.
He could have done so much good, helped so many people - the royals are in a unique position to found and support charities and foundations. But no, he chose to abandon all that for a really nasty piece of work. He bangs on about how miserable his life was - he had it all and received loads of freedom and privileges. What a waste.

He obviously believed that what she was offering would make him happy for the rest of his life, and then he woke up from the dream and found out he was in a waking nightmare and has burned all his bridges and every other bridge for a 100 mile radius.
